Hey Sam first of all: thanks for your video and great help, getting the crashed bird work again. But! There’s something wrong with the 3 MotorHall cables (blue, yellow, green). I had to change blue with yellow, otherwise the motor turns backwards. I have the same controller and display, too. Maybe the guys in China had it made on mondays 😁 ?!
Have you stuck with these settings? If not can you type out the setting you choose for each one. I’ve got mine set just like yours in the video but just wondering if you have played around with different settings and found something that worked better for any reason. If they are different please reply with what yours are now.
Yes they should work thats why they have the 2 wires for relearn procedure to adapt any motor and for the speed accurate you need to set the right parameters

Just converted a Bird 590 with this controller, and it behaves strange. Wheel ist always spinning with 2-3 rpm, only in full throttle it stops. When you release the throttle, it spins again. Not top speed, just in a few km/h. Any suggestions? Wiring is fine, throttle is original Bird 590.
I checked several times, all fine. Motor all colors 1:1, Batt has Bypass and worked, Brake and Throttle are fine. Weird is, that the Speed of the Wheel is always same, only stops when I push throttle. It does 9km/h, never more, never less. Strange…

Well is supposed to change when you press + or - if they dont do anything most probably is bad those thing are cheap Chinese parts and they came bad very often

So everything works but the motor makes a loud grumbling sound on take off...sort of the same sound they make when the motor is bad...I hooked it up to another scooter that made the same sound...not sure if it’s a bad thing or not....speed odometer is p18 not speed limit...if you notice your odometer is saying you are going faster than you are you adjust this down until it matches up with your actual speed
Thats the phase cable connection that are wrong combination the sound is because the firing order is wrong because the wrong phase cables combination change it on to they work good
Which ones are the phase cables...? It only does it on take off but I’ve adjusted the settings and was getting very good speed..I followed your video step by step..

@@RotineQue Self learn is activated by connecting the two green wires on the controller with the power off. Then turn on the power from the LCD panel and the front wheel will move slowly as it detects the phase of the motor. If it turns the wrong way, disconnect and reconnect the green wire with the power on - the wheel will turn the other way. Once it's turning the right way, dont touch anything and let it run for 10 seconds or so, then then turn off the power via the LCD.

I changed the settings on the side THL 5 and now it’s faster but still not correct yet...I’ll keep messing with it
