    Strong fast opening with air landing troops and strong air support, but to secure it, one needs boots and ideally tanks on the ground. I think this is a really good example to show, how "realistic" Warno is in terms of basic capabilities and weaknesses of the different weapon systems / arms.

      Or to put it differently, fly boys are nice, but in the end, they won't win a war against any determined enemy.

      Soviet units must also be way cheaper so they could reflect their superior numbers of real life which is the main trait of the soviets. Eugen Sistems must remember the soviets had unlimited manpower in WW2 and it didn't matter they suffered 27 million cassaulties combatants and civillians combined. They still won.

      @@hellrider6609 This is represented with availability and deployment cost being tied to veterancy, as well as some troop types having a lower base cost for being lightly armed or with negative modifiers. If you want human wave attacks, you can opt for cards of lower veterancy troops with much more availability. Or vv with much lower availability for high veterancy.

      @@hellrider6609 To an extent true but by end of WW2, USSR was suffering from severe manpower shortage. So, even they can only absorb so many losses.

    You are still so positive despite the losses so far and you’re still improving, analyzing and still having fun. And it translates in your videos, that’s awesome. Keep up the really well made videos. Although I’m not playing warno I love your attitude!

      Totally agree. It's rare to spot Vulcan get tilted or audibly frustrated. I was recently reminded how uncommon this is, after watching a number of other unrelated content creators' frustration quickly dial up after a few setbacks.

    i watched this match live on box's stream, and you had a great advantage over him for half of the game. you wiped his F4s , his right side had just Manpads and it was going so good for you until it wasn't. it was very entertaining game

    In a situation like this, instead of charging your tanks straight at the zone, I think you should try to flank them around and cut the zone off from reinforcements and catch his units in a pocket. You could maintain overwatch on all the ways in and out from a safe distance with your Bradleys & helos to keep them contained, and pound the area with artillery, aircraft, etc. before sweeping up whatever's left with infantry. 3rd Armored was designed around the AirLand Battle concept which emphasized counter-blitz tactics and delaying enemy reinforcements to engage cut-off forces piecemeal like that.
    And you had kind of the same issue in this game as the last one - you don't want to be attacking into close terrain with ATGM infantry and expensive tanks, especially when your opponent has more and cheaper tanks, that's exactly where they want to engage you so they can trade Leo 1A1A1s for M1A1s. And if you're attacking into a forest you need some infantry that have decent AT weapons with no minimum range - Fire Team AT4s are the only thing in all of 3rd Armored that really fit that description, unfortunately.

    Good analysis on the game here. I just keep thinking of a quote we use a lot in the air force here (roughly translated); "You can't win a war with exclusively air superiority, but you will lose a war if you can't achieve it". Boots on the ground win wars, but without the proper air support it'll be extremely hard. Your use of air assets was extremely effective, but as you said yourself, you weren't able to use your ground assets in time to capitalize on the situation. Well played though, and a cool strategy!

    Isn’t there a way to find manpads with your air units before they fire?.

      Not really; manpads get stuffed into forests and buildings, which usually ensures that even a kiowa wr with exceptional optics won't be able to spot them until the helicopter can also be shot at by the manpads. The saving grace is that manpads, especially Fleigerfaust, are inaccurate and likely won't hit. Which is why you always see FF in large numbers--shitty accuracy can be compensated for by having 8 dudes with tubes. Typically you answer them with artillery fire, or you call in an airstrike once you know where they are.

    Just had a weird fucking ad play before this on my Roku lol. Warno gameplay of just Leopards getting one shot with a title card of West Germany Suffers. Then it was just someone going Ahhhhhh for 60 seconds while more Leopards got sploded. ... WTF lol

      @@VulcanHDGaming There's another one, both of which say WarnoPOV: on top, but the 2nd one is UK SUFFERS. This one a bunch of Challengers get rekt. In the end there are two Big Bens with one of those red busses hitting it like 9-11, with Boris and the King in the back looking sad. Must be some salty meme lords who play this game lol.

    Using tanks anywhere near infantry is a total waste of time in this meta. Infantry are extremely tough against any tank (*especially* if you consider the massive cost difference), and they only need to hit one or two rockets to totally kill the cohesion of any tank -- after the recent changes, a zero cohesion tank is basically a dead one, as it removes most of it's turn and drive speed, and big cohesion drops also have a much higher chance to get a "crew bailout" critical (which is absolutely retarded when you see a 9/10 hp super heavy tank get "crew bailed out" vs some cheap 40 point crappy infantry AT rocket.. just so dumb holy crap). As you see here, the HA is getting hit in the front by some pretty crappy marder infantry AT rockets that do tiny amounts of damage, but immediately loses all of it's cohesion. Add to this the fact that usually a single side hit will kill even super heavy tanks, and yea, it's just a waste of time. Bringing tanks anywhere close to buildings/forests should never be done - you need strong arty to clear out infantry now (or spetznatz/close quarters infantry), everything else absolutely sucks point for point.
    This is why Woodenbox is playing the germans - they have tons of cheap, effective infantry with very large squad sizes, but still also has access to good tanks/planes that can punish big pushes.
    Also, I don't know why you guys are wasting so many points on eagles and stuff for AA... this meta is defined by manpad and cheap ground AA spam.. I have a feeling wooden was just toying with you this game spawning out those F-4s lol..... If eugen ever adds some realism to the game and makes short range IR stop being able to take out stuff like f-15E strike eagles and similar, it might be worth actually taking some AA planes, but until that happens, it's just a huge waste of points.

      I agree on the first point. Regarding AA however, fighters are 100% meta alongside cheap manpads.
