Lmao don’t worry guys, we don’t milk the last 2 episodes. They go live together 😆
For anyone interested in The Legend of Korra reactions, we’re up to episode 9 over on Patreon! www.patreon.com/carlie_and_ange
I love Korra
oh thank goodness, I don't think we'd be able to wait 😣
it is so cute that toph was working on her sandbending, considering that if she had been able to do it sooner, appa wouldn‘t have been kidnapped 🥹 love toph!
Not only has she worked on her sandbending, she honed it to the point of crafting all of Ba Sing Se, Earth King and Bosco included, with a single motion. I think it's fair to say that makes her the best sandbender in the world when it comes to precision
I NEVER thought about that! Thats AMAZING ❤
@@pabloc8808Thats assuming regular sandbenders can't do that or better.
@@AnimeCriticallol toph is literally the best of her time. she’s what Azula aspires to be, without even trying.
@@AnimeCritical No evidence that they can, all sandbending we've seen is combat-oriented (just like a solid 90% of all bending), and combat-oriented bending has no need to be that precise.
Sokka went from wanting to eat Momo to crawling into Appa’s mouth to save him. Now that’s character development
He also tried to sacrifice him to the serpent 😂
Small detail, but I love how the Gaang doesn't go alert mode when it looks like Zuko is attacking Aang. When they first met, they were immediately distrustful and Katara straight up threatened to kill him if he looked like he betrays the group. The fact that they don't panic shows how much they've grown to trust him and see him as a friend.
i noticed that too! 🥹
@@batmanvsjoker7725 Yeah for example Sokka who is more concerned about Zuko destroying his sand sculpture than the fact that Zuko is attacking Aang.
18:56 it's not only that they had an issue, they had an issue WITH zuko, they had history of being pursued by zuko, while toph was very much open in accepting him into the group. So that's why the main trio had a bonding trip with zuko while toph didn't really NEED one.
Besides I find that she's already gone through her character arc long before the show started lol
@@joachimkizozo2073 Her arc was learning to work as a team. She was stubbornly self reliant before and had to learn to help others, and let them help her.
Honestly I love how Toph calls out how she didn't have a solo adventure with Zuko. Because she didn't need to: She trusted him right away because she met Iroh and understood who Zuko was, and she knew he was speaking the truth the whole time. Aang knew he was the blue spirit, and when Appa approved you could tell Aang wanted to trust him, but his solo adventure really solidified it. Sokka didn't trust him but his main goal was fixing his mistakes, and he bonded with Zuko because that was what they both wanted: To fix the mistakes they made in the past. Katara took some convincing but ultimately Zuko pulled her back from her worst impulses, showing her that he really did change. And that leaves Toph as the only one who didn't need to hash anything out with him. She was on board from the start.
Toph and Zuko also had a heart-to-heart in the Ember Island Players episode. So they at least had *one* proper bonding moment before the finale.
i just love when Sokka is fixing the sculpture of Suki after Zuko starts "attacking" Aang, it just shows so much developed trust for me.
Cringe
Uncommon Toph L here with her Zuko field trip 😂. Suki is a real one for thinking Sokka's sculpture is endearing lol
Nothing feels better than getting off night shift and getting to enjoy these reactions as I'm winding down
Sokka casually saying "...oh and he's attacking Aang" shows how much they trust Zuko now. I mean Katara said she would end Zuko for trying to hurt Aang
Zuko and Toph really should have had a bonding episode because of their similarities from their childhood experiences. Both grew up rich, both had emotionally distant fathers but had caring mothers.
we dont know how toph's mom was. If anything she was just as similar as her dad was to her. I agree that they should've had their own episode together like everyone else did with zuko
I'm glad that you guys are understanding of Aang's struggle with the idea of killing the firelord (and not just dismissed him as a wimp). It's not just being true to himself, literally being the last of his kind he also carries the entire culture, values and philosophy of the air nomad and not killing we know is one of the absolute red line of his people. Imagine if Aang killed the firelord, raised a family, regenerating the air nomads in the process, and he tells the kids to "Not kill living things", that would feel very empty especially when it's an entire culture that's nearly extinct that we're dealing with. It's one thing if Aang could just compromise, kill the firelord and let another air nomad be the absolute authority on the culture, but that's not exactly the situation we're in.
Empty? I disagree. Because HE is the avatar, not them. It's not like they're gonna go try and learn all the elements because HE did.
Dang it! The Fire Lord remembered his pants
I love that the moment Zuko started attacking Aang it was "Zuko got crazy!" and not "Zuko betrayed us!"
THIS IS WHAT IVE BEEN WATING FOR GREAT REACTION!!!!!!
3:02 Suki dragging Sokka across the sand by his arm is so funny to me 😂 small little animation that’ll to unnoticed but as an animator i love seeing these fun stuff in animations.
Toph had a life changing tea session with iroh
I think its nice that you two both loved Aang for this episode, since some reactors end up frustrated with Aang sticking to his principles and culture, even when it comes to dealing with the firelord. As much as we want the firelord to be done away with, expecting a child to commit murder is still a lot, and obviously unreasonable.
Crazy that the series waited until nearly the very end to introduce the true antagonist: The Melon Lord.
Love Aangs ending. Everyone, his friends, mentors, and past lives tell him to end the fire lords life. But he sticks to who he is and does it his way.
Momo's introduction: Sokka spends the episode trying to catch him to eat him
This episode: Sokka crawls into Appa to try and save Momo
If that's not character growth, I don't know what is.
3:09 Zuko’s flame tunnel is one of my favorite moves. A while back I said something about firebenders not really “bending” fire, and this is what I mean. They have the most destructive capabilities, but resort to only shooting small fireballs. I want to see someone gather all of the flames in an area and send a fire wave at someone.
ozai had the promotion marketing ready to roll out with his new phoenix king title 😂
She didn't get a side quest with Zuko because she already had that experience with Iroh.
Here's a lil Easter egg fact, in the bar scene with Juan the guy in the white Gee outfit and red head ban, he was a visual Easter egg reference to STREET FIGHTER character Ryu.
The only reason Aang hesitates to end life (even for a tyrant like Ozai) is because all Air Benders believe in pacifism...They use offense only as a last resort.
And, since Aang is the last airbender, it’s up to him to keep his people’s way of life around
The funniest thing is, there's a video compilation of aangs kills on UA-cam 😂😂
Mind-blown about the flames raining down the Ba Sing Se sand sculpture 🤯🤯🔥🔥
08:53 If only Aang could actually understand Momo; he'd realize the wisdom that was imparted to him at that moment.
I appreciate you guys understanding the position Aang's in. He is the very last of his people, so he has to embody everything they believed in and represented. If he kills Ozai, that goes away, and the Air Nomads are truly extinct. I understand when people say smoking the Fire Lord is morally justified, but it's not about the Fire Lord, it's about keeping a culture alive; Aang kills the Fire Lord, saves the Earth Kingdom and the Water Tribes, and ends the Air Nomads in the process. That's not victory, because like Iroh said, all four nations must exist to maintain balance.
Either way it's just a matter of time. If there's a way to restore the Air Nomads, then the death of their culture is temporary, it'll die but it'll be reborn later. If there's no way to restore them and Aang really is the last of his kind, then he's only keeping the culture around for another handful of decades before it goes kaput.
I don't say this to diminish the pressure on Aang, I just think it's about the values his culture impressed onto him rather than keeping his culture alive.
the final episodes for atla are so good and such a good way to end a show
The group's decision to wait till after the comet never made sense. They were all proactive in having Aang continue to train and fight before the comet came back at the Air Temple and they're in an even better position than they were then since Zuko joined. When did they all have time to decide it without Zuko hearing anything about it?
"Aang can't kill" unless he's a giant water Kaiju and you're calling yourself the moon slayer
He wasnt killed though, and even if he was it was the ocean spirit manifesting himself using angs powers that took admiral zhao not ang himself
I love the moment where everyone is on Aang’s case and he finally snaps and is just like “IVE BEEN IN AN ICEBERG FOR 100 YEARS AND YOU JUST STRAIGHT UP WANT ME TO MURDER THIS GUY NO MATTER WHAT HE DID LIKE CHILL”😂 Also, the RESPECT THEY HAVE for Zuko is UNREAL. Now that they fully trust him, they KNOW how much of an amazing commander and leader he is bc of getting chased/hunted by him all that time lol, so they immediately defer to him when Aang goes missing - “What should we do Zuko??”
I can’t wait for you guys to see the finally I love these last few episodes
Love how you’ve been Team Aang since episode one, so have I, he’s the best!! Sooo many good characters in this show though, can’t wait to see the other reactions!
"You can't treat me like Zuko" is an important and often overlooked line. I don't think Azula ever intended to kill Zuko. Mame? Sure, but not kill. I think she needs him around so she can have a secure place as the protege. It is part of her world structure and family dynamic. Without it everything begins to crumble. Mai and Ty Lee may have betrayed her but Zuko did so first.
Ozai's must've his marketing team working overtime since the eclipse. He's gotta look fabulous while torching the world😅
Tea Time with Toph is her VA reacting to the show, before she reacted to the LA show!! It’s super adorable and a great watch, but she does have some of the other VAs as guests on the show, and one of them is Zuko’s VA, so IMO, they finally got their field trip!! 😊
A really cool parallel is that loneliness shaped Zuko, and in that time he grew. Meanwhile loneliness broke Azula and marked the beginning of the end for her.
I always took the fact that Toph and Zuko already had a strong bond wen she fought for him to be apart of team avatar, even after he burnt her, I can’t really see an episode better then that connection between them.
Love the. Melon Lord. It’s nice to see toph play like a kid even if it’s training.
The look zuko gave wen toph though katara had a … thing with Haru
"Rizz is in the eye of the beholder" 😂
This may be a strech but the reason Aang was drawn to the lion turtle 🐢 is because he lived there in his previous life. Its, like when he noticed roku's statue in the air temple without every meeting him.
You realize this is a spoiler right?
@@guilhermefernandesdomingue2651They’ve already finished the show on patreon. So no, it isn’t.
Jeez the line delivery from Zuko is so damn funny to me lmao 11:07
7:33 - if the other Avatars take over and kill Ozai, it wouldn’t be Roku. It would 1000% be Yangchen and Kyoshi. 😂
facts 😭😭 and go about their business without a 2nd thought
Yangchen getting the kill would be ironic considering her people were almost wiped out by Ozai's ancestors.
Roku was about to end his best friend but only gave him grace and one warning cuz of their friendship, yeah Roku as well was a no nonsense avatar
On Ange's theory of other avatars doing what needed to be done for ang, I believe Kyoshi would be the best for the task as she seems least likely to think twice of snuffing out problematic people😂😂
No she doesn't
20:47 You remember the Avatar day episode where Avatar Kyoshi temporarily took over Aang to clear her name(even though she just nade things worse). Could've been foreshadowing 🤔
Oh I'm so excited to see your reaction to the finale now!
13:03 - What? How could new character could be random? She is a part of this world, and a great character in her episode.
"older characters returning as well" - yeah, that's how they end up putting it too.
As for Aang's dilemna, it comes down to a reversal of the title "Avatar: The Last Airbender" - Aang is an airbender first and the Avatar second.
Korra is the Avatar first, second, and many more with being a waterbender just being part of that.
So, it begins...
Man, first time I saw this episode I really thought Katara was gonna make good on her promise to kill Zuko if he ever did anything sus. Glad she didn't 😅
The Phoenix King sounding like Ocean Master...
Ange S1: One of the animals is dying
Ange this ep: omg if Appa… that’s gonna destroy me 😢
lol love these reactions
You don't even know how excited I am to see you guys react to the last few episodes, you guys have definitely been my favorite channel to watch reacting to ATLA
Greatest finale in cartoon history 🔥
I agree with you here is amzing show❤
💯💯💯
TV history, I'd even say!
This 4 part finale is the GOAT I am fully expecting you guys to be really hyped and most of the main cast have a perfect story wrap-up (except Zuko, who learns about his mom in the comics they made after the show)
Does UA-cam membership grant you early access to the videos????
@@gerald9992 patreon does
@@gerald9992Patreon. They get the vids early
"Rizz is in the eye of the beholder." -- Carlie, 2024.
What do you mean no loyalty? Toph wasn't tied down to anyone! She can have all the crushes she wants! Lol.
9:14 😂 Is that a Finding Nemo reference?
Some interesting theories being thrown around in the discussion. I am glad that y'all are being understanding of why Aang doesn't want to resort to killing Ozai. Most people tend to think he just needs to suck it up and do what needs to be done.
The way you guys are releasing these is terrible though. 😂 At least you said we'll be getting the final two episodes in one video. This 4 part finale is one of the best series finales, imo, so I'm looking forward to the last 3 reactions. Can't believe this reaction series is almost over though. 😢
Troph is such a goated character. But, when you really look back at the series, she was the main character that got shafted the most. It’s a shame really, but her intro episode was kinda the only one about her (maybe the episode where she trains Aang would count too).
2:35 I think Sokka has a lot of rizz cause he’s very funny. NTM that he’s taller and handsome. TBH even Katara had a harem of boys in the series. The water tribe siblings just got it like that 😂
It's just really unclear at this point how the fire lord goes down and Aang stays true to himself.
The greatest moment in the show: Melonlord's debut
UOURE POSTING THEM SEPERATELY???? How freaking DARE you!
Also I love you guys glad you’re at the finale😊
Oh to watch this peak for the very first time
i have been refreshing the page waiting for upload 🤓
Great reaction!
Im just gonna wait until the finale is posted and watch them together 😅❤
Loved your reaction as always!!!!!
Can you please do the next 3 back to back...Can't wait two days for each ep😭
It’s literally a crime to upload one part at a time 😂😂
I feel like Aang just needs some onion-banana juice.
Hey, just stopping by. I'm relatively new to your channel and am enjoying myself so far. I'll watch your reaction after you upload all three parts but keep up the good work.
oooo you guys we're really in it now!! shit is happening!!
Next episode will make us Tearbend.
Really hope the last two episodes aren't split into two different videos
Can’t believe y’all almost at the end. Get the tissues 😢
Finale woooo
You guys are overthinking things.
Finally you've met Melon Lord.
Biggest differences in Korra and Aang. Aang was a monk first and the Avatar second and Korra was the Avatar first and water tribe second.
the beginning of the end 🥺
Why you teasing me lol
wdym
It's MELONLORD!!! WA HAHAHAHA
I love you guys so much
I can't go around erasing people I don't like. One of my favorite Aang lines.👌🏿💯
Aang forgetting Monk Gyatso took out at least a dozen fire benders before clocking out
Seven deadly sins reactions, when?!
They could have brought the last 4 episodes in a single video
6th
where rest
Pls pls pls watch cobra Kai if you guys agree like
"This goes against everything I learned from the monks." Bro no it doesn't. You literally saw proof that Gyatsu killed a contingent of firebenders when they attacked during the last comet lol. Killing in defense of yourself and others is not, nor has it ever been, a violation of the air nomad teachings. I love this show, but I will always hate the "Aang is suddenly against killing on grounds that don't make sense" thing at the end.
Bro what it has always been a thing with aang idk why you suddenly think it was random
2:32 It's Schrodinger's rizz
First
