All these movements look just like what you do when using kettlebells, but without the weights

Thanks. Should I add this or switch to this or is my regimen ok as is? Formerly diagnosed with very high BP but in the past year have dropped it significantly to where my physician says if his diagnosis was based on my current pressure he would debate as to prescribing medication for me. It’s borderline and he said next checkup there is a real possibility of discontinuing meds. This has been achieved by a combination of medication, switching to a more healthful diet and my exercise program that is brief but seemingly effective. Squats, then press ups . I do the squats and press ups alternately 3-4 times through out the day. Takes about 2-4 minutes per session depending on number of repetitions. I end up breathless by sessions end. I feel like this gives me a little more in the way of upper body strength as well. Sometimes I add or switch to dips instead of press ups. I do this pretty much every day, once in awhile taking a day or two off. Advice would be most appreciated. This regimen has allowed me to drop significant body weight, thus improving my health markers across the board.

Hey Joe thats great! Great work so far, most of the time the hardest part is building the habit but it sounds like you're doing fantastic. There's an old saying, don't fix what ain't broke, so if it's working for you then keep going. If you want to mix up your routine because you feel its becoming too repetitive or you feel like your plateauing then it would be worth incorporating this into your routine to see how you feel. If you don't think this gives you a good enough burn, try something else. As long as you have your base of exercises down, which you have, then you can continue to build on that. Hope that helps 🙌

@@TheHelsiShow Yes, your input really helps! Thanks fir your reply! Have tried this now and it is a very good workout. Squats are same as my current routine though not as many reps in a row but adding the arm movements gives my upper body muscles a different kind of feel than the press ups. More of an endurance feel other than strength. Feels like the shoulders, back and arms are challenged more for endurance...despite not being weight bearing those muscles are feeling quite exhausted and fatigued. It’s working them in a different way. I will definitely incorporate the NOD into my routine as a way of benefiting my fitness in a different way as well as changing things up a bit to avoid getting in a rut! Thanks again. Cheers!

Is this good only for the elderly?

No it's good for everyone. If you're young, fit and healthy then this won't be a 'workout' but if you work in a sedentary state then doing this every hour or so will be of benefit
