Someone call the WWE they are missing a carpenter.
"In the blue trunks, we have the Kanye Of Carpentry, ..."
Lmao was just thinking the same about how he spoke
haha, right on dude! this guy is high octane!
"THE CARPENTER "
The number one selling single use diy circular saw of all time is:
The Pizza cutter.
Juan C 🤣🤣
😂😭🤣💯☠️☠️☠️
My pizza cutter still going strong. Multiple use.
😂😂😂
I just 💯 ☠️☠️😂😂🤣🤣
The reason for two 18v batts for the Makita is that you can charge both batts at the same time in 45 mins or less, whereas those bigger "red" an "yellow" batts take almost two hrs to charge. Time is money!
Quick charge units shorten that time on those bigger batteries
Time is money. Buy 2 Dewalt 9amps and have one charged while one is working. By the time one dies you'll have another one in the tool. Makita requires you to have 4 whole batteries going
@@JohnDoe-hn5nl quick charge shortens the life of the battery.
@@sessionbox4256 a single dewalt 20v doesn't have as much cutting power, or make as many cuts as a makita double battery. You may have half as many batteries, but you'll make twice as many trips to the battery charger, and it is a nuissance to have a battery die when you're up on a roof, or a ladder, or scaffold. When a person uses cordless circular saws every day, those walks to the charger add up quick, and the batteries can even pay for themselves. Plus, the makita cuts deeper, it's the only saw I know that cuts 2 5/8" depth, which is what's required to cut completely through LVL floor joists (not even corded skillsaw does that, nor dewalt).
@@user-os7qp3ny3k then get a flexvolt battery.
There's a reason that many tradesmen refer to circular saws as "skillsaws". I've actually met quite a few that didn't even know they were actually called circular saws. Skilsaw has been around forever, they made them first and they made them right. Skilsaw is to the circular saw what advil is to ibuprofen.
Agree, Skillsaw wormdrive corded are the best and most durable
I am invested in the M18 Fuel line, and I love my circular saw. Built barns, houses, additions, and I've never had an issue with it. Lasts almost all day with a 12 AH battery.
And believe it or not, I still use my dad's old corded Craftsman once in a while that he got back in... I think the 70's. No bells or whistles like newer saws, but it's all metal, no plastic and just... solid. It still runs like a champ.
"Invested" hmmm interesting
@@adnan9520 yup he never said his circular saw was a m fuel saw !!!
I would personally put makita above anything else. That’s not to say they’re actual individual tools are better than all. No company owns that. Skilsaw invented the circular saw, they make that the best. Milwaukee invented the sawzall, they make that the best. But everything makita makes it so perfectly well rounded, and they’re innovating more than any other company out there. They have more options and choices than anyone else and not to mention, they’re still they’re own individually owned company. No other brand can say that
Damn, did I graduate? Spelling mistakes up the ass
Being right handed I just can't get on with circular saws with the motor on the right, I've tried a few and they just don't feel right.(pun intended).
The serious dedication to tool education= rapid hand movement and minimal blinking =loved this video, he kept my attention, so this gal appreciates your hard work!!! off to home depot I go lol
Thank you!
You are awesome! I am a Ryobi fan and I know they do better in certain areas than others when it comes to their tools but when you started with the Mr. Sister hahah I rewatched that part like 10 times. Great job!
I like these kind of vids. Nick's hand movements made me think he was conducting the orchestra.
lol i was thinking same thing.. thought i said it first.
it's a philly thing. everyone is fluent in sign language
This guy would sell me every circular saw available !! I just want to listen to him all day!!! I think I will replay the video a few times!!!
Well, I use that 36volt Makita saw...It has a magnesium base, rafter hook, Yes its heavy, but I've also used the Milwaukee Saw too and it's no lighter. With all the same features. The single battery shown was the 12 amp hour battery that is just as heavy as 2 Makita batteries. I've also used the Dewalt saw with the Flexvolt battery. Great saw but not any better than the Makita or Milwaukee. Also you might talk about the prices of these options. That 12.0 High output battery Milwaukee makes is over 250 bucks. 2) pack Makita 6 amp batteries cost 180. So these 3 saws are equal in every way in my opinion. I am not a fan of Metabo at all. My business partner bought some new tools from Metabo, he sold them after a week. Went back to his Ridged. Hilti tools are great tools, but if you can afford them, you don't need to work for a living. I've never used the Skill Saw battery saw. I have an old worm drive Skill Saw that you have to put oil in and change it sometimes. It is a beast!!! I bring it out to rip hardwoods and yellow pine posts and beams. I totally agree with that old saw being the best ever made!
I’m a fan of my Milwaukee and DeWalt tools. However, my father in law uses Ryobi and I used them for the first time this weekend and they are pretty good. Nice work Nick.
I appreciate the whole spectrum being exercised. Anybody can test drive a bunch of Ferraris and give an opinion. I wouldn't even have the patience to test the first two classes. You guys actually worked and dealt with honest unpleasantness. Thanks fellas.
My favorite saw will ALWAYS be the Dewalt 378G. That saw looked funky as hell - look it up. But I never used a saw that lent itself to working on the ground, one hand use ripping plywood, or cutting tops off vertical beams in the air so effortlessly. It was the perfect combination of a Skilsaw and a sidewinder. They discontinued it, I patched the cord 5 times, replaced a plug, and cracked the handle and re-stuck it on with gorilla glue. Somehow between my dad and I, it's still alive 20something years later.
I got a Cordless Ryobi and it works and cuts great...The Mean Green Machine...🤙
If you watch this video muted, Nick is leading the band! Jus kiddin good job great vid!
"when the octanes octate together" dude I'm dying 🤣🤣🤣
yo i gotta give it to ya this video was epic and the zoom in on him when he is losing his mind was priceless
Have a Skilsaw mag77 and by far it’s the best saw I’ve ever used. I absolutely love the thing
OMG I replayed this 3 times. This guy needs a pay raise! So entertaining and informational.
I second that! This dude needs his own skit on SNL! He's wasting his god given talent in the construction industry! LOL
Just bought 2 Diablo blades yesterday .... made in Italy ... not Switzerland
SKILSAW blades and some Bosch.... guy. Never said Diablo.
Yeah he did. Listen at 32:10 forward...
My first VCG video and hooked. Entertaining and informative.
I've moved to Taiwan so need to purchase new hardware, over here is 120V and as I'm from the UK, it's 240 over there.
Any reviews on jigsaws?
Again, great video and well worth watching.
Framer experience Yeah skill saw the best of all time I use deWalt flex volt it’s a beast and makita has an awesome balance
Thank you for this. I'm in the market for a circular saw. My ragged out 12 amp B&D has a date with destiny--and the Grim Reaper
I really like his reviews also. He has jazz hands! All the best Nick!
🙌🙌🙌😂👍
@@VCGConstruction you guys the best. I love your videos. As soon as my divorce is finalized I'm going to sign up for your patreon.
Hey Nick has some class! He’s directing a symphony orchestra with his hands 👍🏻
Wow! Great job on this one. Great energy. I got into this channel because of Vince and his reviews. Entertained and educated by Nick... My gf even checked out the video.
very informative, and very entertaining this guy is cool, keep them videos coming...
What's up guys just picked up the KOBALT xtr saw me and my son are tool junkys he has the craftsman saw. Got to build a subwoofer box for4x15 inch subwoofers and the cobalt will be the star of the show.loved this video.
Weird, must be something missing in 'world wide renown' here in Europe, more than half of the brands you named I have never heard of. Also, Skil is about 20 to 40% cheaper than B&D here, and it shows. Skil is just above brands like Einhell, Ferm, Kinzo, Meister Craft, etc. Higher up we rank B&D, DeWalt (along with Milwaukee and Festool), Bosch, Metabo, Hikoki and Makita (in this order of ranking) and Hilti is indeed considered the top of the line here.
hilti FTW ALWAYS 🙌🏻
OTAAAY I watched the whole video and I am blown away - want to purchase a circular saw as a gift to my husband as we just purchased land - so many great choices I’m going check the #1 choice on your top list Skill Saw - he WILL be surprised and to think I was going to buy WORX you didn’t even mention it 😂 THANK YOU THIS WAS FUN TO WATCH
Skil saw mag 77 he'll love you forever 😄👍

Aaah ok thanks 2021 gonna start with a smile 😃
I have a RYOBI Reciprocating Saw and while it may not be the most powerful or the highest end it’s amazing for what I need it for. It’s been more helpful for cutting down branches than my chainsaw has. It’s also useful for some woodworking jobs.
Amateur saw guy here. I got a cheaper Ryobi cir. Saw from Home Depot last yr, threw box away and just discovered defective adjustment lever. Is Ryobi any good at replacements ?
WTF did i just watch?! i love this guy! i laughed the whole time.and actually took notes. in the business of buying a circular saw, and of all the videos and links ive read..this BY FAR is the most informational and engaging.
"Don't be biased"?! We call came here to inform a bias. I want to know what's good and then be biased towards good. Having said that, I've tried Ryobi tools many, many times and they have always disappointed me.
Black & Decker has a fan base?
I will say Wen does have some items worth the money for their single use, Their smallest lathe was a great entree point into the world of turning, even if I did quickly upgrade, the price point was comfortable and their customer service is spot on. I will gladly purchase from them again whenever I’m on the market for a type of tool I don’t already have and just want to test the waters.
Would love to see a ranking of leveling equipment, calipers, micrometers, squares etc.
I rode my bike to home Depot when I was 14 And picked out a bosh circular saw. I just used it last week I’m 35 now. My thinking was basically well bosh makes car parts so they must be good lol. I mostly use my Milwaukee 7-1/4 M18 now a days
My eight year old daughter liked this too. She lost It at "sparklers shooting out of my nipples". I had to have a little talk with her after that. I don't want to get in trouble with mom!
When South Park went national, people went apoplectic. I'm like "yeah, that was 3rd graders, for reals". Oh yeah, kids know but don't 'know', understand the content but, not the context.
I prefer the Hikoki/ Metabo HPT tools. Active fan cooling of battery and charger, so you can charge quick, without too much stress or wear to the battery. Brushless IP56, for outdoor use. Other than that, I agree with most of your list. Thank you for entertaining and sharing.
Just love this guy! Actually came to see circular saw reviews and now binge watching this channel!
Great video very funny too.
I got a black and decker (Betty) from 10 years ago. Works like a charm
My favorite is the Milwaukee rear handle. Haven’t tried the Dewalt but I’m sure it’s just as powerful.
@VCG CONSTRUCTION
please do a 6&1/2" cordless brushless comparison. I gotta see Milwaukee vs Dewalt!! But curious about the other competitors as well.
Thanks!
Glad to see Hilti on your list......although made in China, I'm sure to Hilti's specs.
Fun video to watch.
Iam a fan of ryobi.
But the circ saw i got was the base level black base saw.
Been trying to cut 22mm pressure treated planks.
It was really struggling!
Had to cut really slow or a shallow cut then a deep cut.
Blade still kept binding.
Bought an 18v brushless dewalt circ saw, my first dewalt tool.
And its amazing!
Only cost 163 quid!
Glides through the wood the ryobi was sticking at!
So pleased with my first dewalt saw!
this was like the WWE of circular saws.
If The Rock did tool reviews, it might look like this.
Spot on list my man. Thanks for the cool and fun commentary.
I was cutting panel backer with the hyper tough. It was company provided. Best part about it was the way it smelled...so many laughs. No it didn't have a 48 tooth.
I have experience with black and decker. We’ve been using it for five years and it’s never let me down
I'm a Makita man myself, great video y'all silly 😜😜😜
I've waited 50 years for the cordless wormdrive by skil. Finally. I'm 70 now a little late but good to see.
Two batteries is the price of the compromise so you don't have to change the whole platform from 18V. However it'd be nice if it worked still after one of the batteries drains.
Good Ranking - Agree :)
i only have 30mins lunchtime but this video is so great I stayed the whole time. first review ever that i watched more than half hour. this guy is high octane, hes flamable! Video is awesome bro, 👍👍👍
This guy cracks me up. He said he might have blown his own mind! Lol
😂👍👍
26:44 Cordless? I just went on a goose chase for it to realize there is still a cord. I still think ill get the corded one since its 3 times cheaper than the 6.5" circ saw. Thanks for the great info VCG!
I love the video guys can your next video rate the best 12 volt impact drivers
This was hilarious....SON!.....lol...great video.
Nice video I have 2 milwaukee corded tools a circular saw and drill about 25 years old. My dad gave them to me, he use to do construction with them. They work great. I use the Ryobi 18+ set cause of how many tools there are, more tools more batteries.
There i was looking for a cake mixer and spent 35minutes watching this guy teach us all the eye expressions and hand gestures you need to cut loaf of bread ... hilarious.... forget the skilsaw I’m watching this again lol...
Dude. I’m sold. I just picked up one of each! Now I know.
I am so glad you stopped the whole "yelling" act as part of the shows theme cuz that was super cliche' for a tool show. (aka "tool time"). Plus, it would get annoying after more than 1 video to have someone constantly yelling at you. But I'm going to yell my next sentence... cuz I mean it.
THE NEW HOST IS AWESOME!!! I LOVE THE SOFT-SPOKEN, DEADPAN, UNAPOLOGETIC, AND OFTEN BRUTALLY HONEST DELIVERY STYLE! IT IS SO REFRESHINGLY INTERESTING TO SEE AND HEAR, AND MOSTLY BECAUSE I KNOW HE KNOWS WHAT HE'S TALKING ABOUT FROM EXPERIENCE.
I still have the Skilsaw 5150 my dad handed down to me. This thing had gone through 40yrs of diy projects. I purchased a Makita 3yrs ago, but i find myself using the trusty Skilsaw still.
I think in price point dewalt and Milwaukee is expert
saad world 965 i would say the dewalt 18v should be in pro, and dewalt flexvolt in expert, the milwaukee is about the same as the dewalt 18v
that southern bit was definitely about scott brown😂😂
Im makita guy and i like tea, my ridgid boys hate tea
Makita 36v is the most powerful saw i have used
hilti is way to heavy
The 36v line is just mean
My skilsaw 48v brushless worm drive is mean...
This guy got crazier as the video went on. Pretty informative and entertaining to
UA-cam won’t let me like this video harder.
Agreed, Love your boisterous affirmations. Many uncommon insights given up. One of the tool brands should hire you for a commercial!
So I own a 35 year old Makita worm drive saw and a new DeWalt right blade saw. The left blade worm drive saws are actually a scam, and shouldn't be sold in 2023 anymore. The left blade configuration when used right handed, creates a huge plume of dust that covers your entire body. A right blade saw, used with the right hand, the new ones have a very clear unobstructed blade sight line, and they blow the sawdust behind and away from you and almost no dust goes towards you. They need to make a right blade worm drive saw with 5800 rpms and a dust port. Modern blades don't need to be run at low RPM anymore because they are twice as sharp as a blade from the 1970's.
second freud makes alot of good carbide cutting tools including their saw blades
Dewalt win
I had a black and decker corded sidewinder.... lasted 20 years... built houses, sheds, barns ect.... just died this year (cutting allot of cement block).... they definitely don't make them the same....
This is the most entertaining review I have seen In a long time, thanks lol
Hi From South Africa - We are Makita crazy as well! Southern Thing I guess :)
Have a Ryobi circular saw and it's a piece. Maybe we got a dud but it binds up within an inch. Useless.
13:18 I just laughed soooooo hard!!!
Buddy, my tea drinking had NOTHING to do with my ridgid 5 piece kit! 🙃
I love this channel
I use a Ryobi 18v circular saw with a steel cutting blade to cut sheets of steel and steel tubes lol and it works great
Rank roofing nails. 🤪 for an April fools video at least
🤣🤣👍🏻
😂
Wow. I'm surprised about the No. 1 spot. Hilti I can totally see, but Skillsaw was a shock. Im not even disagreeing (I've not used the worm drive, only the sidewinder), I'm just surprised. Great review though!!!
This guy is great!!!
At first I thought you were quite annoying, but by the end of the vid, I realize that you are uber cool & entertaining as well as informative. The kind of guy I would share a 30 pack with. Unfortunately, I am 70 years old & don't drink anymore. Also you drink Bud & I wouldn't even make wing breading with it!!!
I own a Hyper Tough oscillating multi-tool and sander. The sander blows and the multi-tool is good enough, as I don't use either of them hardly at all.
thanks brow... love your channel
I have a Milwaukee M18 fuel 7.25-inch sidewinder circular saw and it cuts like wood like butter, leaves smooth nice smooth edges, and it's comfortable in the hand. Also, the sound of the saw is easier on the ear. Having the cutting power of corded and the convenience of cordless which I absolutely love about my M18 fuel sidewinder.
Merci. You should think of being a Reverent.. or an actor.. What is the Watt of the motor of the saws? Some times you talk of the Amp hours. (Amp x Volt = Watt) Dankie for the video.
I have a corded drill (120v) by black and decker and its an industrial black and decker!
In my experience (still definitely a beginner) the blades are the most important thing on your saw a cheaper saw can still be very usable with a good blade (I have a Ryobi one of the 18v platform saws)
18:24 Let me tell you a secret. Like US dominantly use Milwaykee because it is made in US. Australia use Makita because it is made by Japane and it is very cheap compare to Milwaykee. Same deal we have in EU. Makita is just cheaper then DeWalt or Milwaykee.
Love my dewalt flex volt
Magnesium skill... almost never need the chorded saws with the flex volt... running battery tools almost exclusively from framing nailers to skill saw...
still chorded miter saw and table saw though
Hey!! I was actually having a nice cuppa tea and wasn't even thinking Ridgid. Howd ju doo dat???
Daaam way toooo funny and great video
Keep it down over there! Trying to drink my damn TEA 🤨
I have Rigid tools and feel personally attacked by that tea comment.....
I drink a lot of tea.
This video was so informative AND entertaining! My husband had to come see why I was laughing so hard. Off to buy my Makita-Mate! 😂🙌🏽😂 Thank you!
People call circular saws skilsaws even if they own a ryobi they say hand me the skilsaws
same thing for rotary cut-off tools. Hand me the dremel. You mean the M12 rotary?
Don’t forget about recip saws. Everyone calls them all Sawzall. I’m guilty of all three. It’s just easier to say and everyone understands.
I mean, this is not exactly uncommon, especially in tools. Right off the top of my head, i've got Sawzall, Dremmel, Crecent wrench. Channel locks, Allen wrench, Bobcat, Sharpie, Xacto knife....
Yeah man I agree, you're hilarious but true heartfelt brother. I watched all the videos, thanks.
I have a coworker is use Ryobi and all i can say is. The are getting better. They not great but getting better.
You know just because the new tool comes out doesn't mean you have to buy it right. I would if I could I just bought that new cobalt xtr 7 1/4 saw works great
