They said the same thing about the OC search last year and it ended with one of the worst hires in Bears history. I have zero faith in them to get this right.
Bears ownership is the problem and has been for far too long long. Poles would have replaced this sorry head coach last off season if not for owner intervention. I have no faith because the McCaskeys are involved.
Missed the game had to go back and watch the end of it. There must have been trouble going on before that because the poor time management was on the QB, a FG from there would have been probably out of Santos's range, the fault was waiting so long to snap it. THey lined up at 25 seconds, plenty of time to run an 8-10 yard play and use the time out. That was not on the HC so I don't know what they mean by "losing the locker room" but it must have been long before that.
How is the late game mismanagement not on the head coach… you mean the rookie Qb who didn’t have autonomy to call time out in that situation is more at fault than the person leading the entire team? Who watched as his team looked for answers and did nothing for a full 30 seconds? The way the game ended is 100% on the head coach, with 20 seconds left you see your qb looking for answers after getting sacked and the team not sure what to do, you don’t call time out and get everyone on the same page??? Mismanagement of situational football is why a talented team can’t get over the hump in these close contests and that falls squarely on coaching.
Okay…didn’t he still almost win the game with this offense that came back into the game? Damn, it’s like a game is 4 quarters…crazy. Not every game you’re gonna score right away.
I heard the same stuff about an exhaustive search casting a wide net during there last head coach hiring process.
The problem was the owners did the search and let the GM choose from three finalist. Letting the GM conduct the search himself is the difference.
The search consisted of coaches represented by Trace Armstrong

@@darrellhenry9152yet Eberflus should have been fired after last year, and Poles failed

I feel like what isn't being talked about is the possibility of Eberflus' handling of his final press conference being the last straw...
Is someone building a house? What the hell is all the banging? It is annoying.
Why, only in Chicago, is NOT winning showing progress?
As long as poles is here, this team will suck.

They’re taking the fall for McCaskey having the final say. McCaskey needs to stay out of decision making process.
I will forever hate the McCaskeys for what they've done to my beloved Bears & my sanity!
Hey Hogue didn't Brown get less than 50 yards in the 1st half. Now you think he'll be a great coach.

yeah, hasn't even coached a game for the Bears and people are crowning him HC from a press conference...
