I cannot wait to delve into Saul's past as a naval officer
The guy's definitely lived a very interesting life
The cursed one piece video, the wano analysis
I am too loyal for this to get 0 views Sword Piece😁
Fr lol😂
Saul is a fine character but he returned during a lull in the fanbase due to all the multi week chapter breaks and anime break that’s going on. That on top of the “topic of Saul” being a bit sour in some peoples mouths due to him surviving (which I personally think was poetic but not everyone does) so they just avoid videos about him because they don’t want to think about aspects of the series they “dislike”.
I thinks saul's biggest problem is not about him but about oda's problem with fake out deaths. The problem is that saul's death is a great fake out it is logical and possible but the fake out was initially ruined with pell and higaram in alabasta after that anyone could survive. Well not initially because the fake out of nami killing usop was a great one too so he knew how to do it he just didn't want to kill pell I guess
Yeah, I feel like some people overreach themselves by saying that fake-out deaths are always bad. They're something that literally happen in real life, and whether they'll make for a good story or not is just entirely up to the execution, like everything else in storytelling.
I agree that Saul's fakeout death was justified, but there's still a nugget of truth there. I felt literally nothing when Pedro died because there had already been so many fakeout deaths. I was genuinely surprised when we reached the end of the arc and Pedro never reappeared. I said this before on another channel. It's not about "well now anyone could come back to life." It's more about "how can I trust any death from here on out?"
5:05 lmaoo
1:38 they got 2 big reason to be up there
robins backstory was at least 22 years ag. we had a 2 year time skip. i won't get into the months.
Saul fulfilled his role in robins flashback. he was suppose to be dead. and oda decided he wasn't which was a mistake.
one piece already has a severe issue with characters not dying. bringing those we thought dead back isn't acceptable.
while on this note sabo is not included in that. since he obviously never died.
with the thumbnail makes you curious it is a good observation on how saul isn't that popular of a topic even with robins reunion
I think some people are just still butt hurt about the conflicted admiral, who didnt kill his mentor, also didnt kill his friend.
Crazy i know. It's not like Buggy during MF got unthawed from Aokiji's ice the same way Saul did
If Robin saw this she'd make her infamous death glare at the idea of people thinking Saul's not important, or interesting. Sanji and the rest of the crew (minus Zoro) would be livid and ready to go to war for anyone upsetting her. Saul's feelings would be hurt but he'd hide it behind his bittersweet smile and laugh. 'Dereshishishishi!'
As someone living in Australia there were definitely ulterior motives for that top 4.
I know it's dry down there, but jeez you guys are thirsty
@@swordpiece it’s so dry in my city that most of our water comes from desalination 👍
Imo it's very simple why Saul isn't that interesting of a character: he was made to only be in the flashback and his return is a retcon so he simply doesn't fit into the story that well
We can't let da goat have zero views🐐
This is more unrelated to just Saul but I personally believe channels like Ohara, GrandlineReview and B.D.A Law have content and thumbnails that have started to become saturated. They always have relatively cringe low quality artwork, followed by titles such as "XX BROKE ME"/"XX CHANGED ONE PIECE FOREVER!!!". It's getting tiring.
Yeah, I somewhat touched on it in this video, but audiences are becoming more educated and it's harder to sell your videos through clickbait unless your topic is genuinely interesting.
I think its due to there being no build up, if it was halfway
Through the arc then it might have gotten more notice but i think they rushed in order to get to the holy knights
No way he has THAT man in the thumbnail.
Clickbait title I'm actually here for
GoodMornin too you too sir but your right Saul did not buss
Imo I find Saul boring simply because there's nothing 'cool' or striking about him, he's just a normal-ish looking giant who was in the navy and has D in name lol. Normally I wouldn't enjoy a Saul video but I actually enjoy your takes and opinions on subjects
I really think Saul was a straw that broke the camel's back on the fake out deaths
I dont watch saul related videos cuz of the controversy, not cuz he isn't interesting. UA-camrs, even the ones I used to like nowadays tend to blow shit out of proportion just too trend. Morj for example used to be a really smart and analytical dude, which he still is but recently ive found his takes to be sometime too short sighted. Channels become less interesting when it becomes about money and hype rather than the love that the person has for the material they're covering.
I wonder if that's the natural end point for our ilk. It's kind of a natural pathway to follow where you start with things like doing more clickbait or choosing topics that interests viewers over what interests you personally
No views huh? Not on my watch
i indeed clicked off when i foud out the video was about saul
I’m a new person who has never seen you before.
Great observation
17 likes in 17 mins from my perspective so going strong so far
i find Saul being cringe.
that's why i don´t care for him.
Lol no. The cursed character is Usopp. He single handedly destroyed the interest for One Piece for over a decade. Even when the Live Action got popular with normies, Usopp was the constant complaint. That's why Usopp is not really that important, nowhere near as important as Oda had started him out at.
