Hello, my friends! Thank you for coming back to my channel! This tutorial is near and dear to my heart. I created this tumbler almost a year ago and it has been one of my best sellers along with my Fall tumbler which you need to be on the lookout for a 2.0 of that one later this year. This tutorial is a bit longer than I would have liked but there is a lot to cover, and I felt like I needed to be thorough... not as thorough as the first tutorial that was over an hour-long SMH! LOL! I wasn't sure what I was doing then... not that I have it all figured out now BUT I feel I am doing somewhat better now. HA! @@paxtonprojects not far at all! I’ve lived in this area since ‘91. I still miss my hometown and get giddy anytime I get to go. I needed by birth certificate in February of 2020 for the trip to France we were SUPPOSED to take that summer, but that was postponed later that spring! 🙄 Anyway, I went to Corpus to get my birth certificate and wouldn’t leave until I put my feet in the gulf! I didn’t care that it was February. My daughter rode with me and did the same. I had a blast! Three hours there, then 3 hours home was all worth it just for that alone. ♥️

So pretty! I live on the southeastern coast of NC and our beaches are called the Crystal Coast. They get the most beautiful green blue color in the summer on a clear day. But I spent my summers growing up in Pensacola Beach and I absolutely fell in love with that part of the Gulf Coast. The pure white sand that squeaks when you walk, and the color of the water.... Absolutely stunning. New sub after seeing this video. 🥰

I love this cup! The color combinations along with the inks takes it to another level of, "oh my glitter goodness!" I have added glitter on top of my mica swirls and had the same effect as your waves! So cool! Thank you for sharing 😁 always enjoy your videos. Can you do a sunset cup?

Can I ask a question? If I wanted to add mini seashells, how long do I wait for the cup to turn before putting them on so they don’t move. My beach scene tumbler has regular epoxy, not fast set. Thanks
@@NinaCristina12a absolutely!! I would wait for about 45 mins or so if they are heavier. And they should stay pretty much in place! 🥰

Beautiful! I’m in Port Isabel, TX, right before south padre island and the water is beautiful here! I live in Freeport, TX right before Surfside beach. The water in south padre is wayyyy better lol.

My parents grew up in Angleton and Lake Jackson and I visited my grandparents a lot growing up and the water was always so gross 😑 It wasn't until high school when I went to Florida and saw what an ocean and beach was SUPPOSED to look like 🤦🥴🤣 it actually is not THAT bad anymore down in Galveston 🤷 not sure what they did to clean it up but its way better and the water looks much clearer now.

This is stunning 😍 I'm in luv with this design I have to order all these supplies and a cup turner and so try to recreate this and it will be just my cup. Lol do you sell these? If so where I might just order 1 before I get to try resin and try a cup I'm making that my new year resolution try learning resin omg I have tons of real mini sea shells I sat and picked this past summer for jewelry I found some unique ones I would luv in my cup and a tiny starfish would be a great accent too 😊 great video and beautiful job well done I'm gonna have to buy all the paints glitter etc lol gonna $$$$ that's why I asked if you sell them I see gonna be a while before I can get all the supplies I'm starting as a newbie

This is gorgeous! Most realistic that I have seen. When you use the blowdryer, is it on cool or do you use heat?
Thank you! It is hot mostly sometimes after I have heated it up too much I turn it to cool but you don't get the movement you do when its hot

I noticed you applied mod podge on the decal, is that a specific reason? I haven't seen that done before. I have some vinyl that will kinda bubble under epoxy and wondering if this technique helps?
Yes I apply Mod Podge after I apply vinyl. I cover the whole cup except for the rim that I exposed so the epoxy has a place to cling to. It hardly ever have a problem with my vinyl because of this step. Thanks for watching!
Love this video so much!!! I didn’t have the same glitters so I used something similar…question..did I add the white resin alcohol ink with the white acrylic paint into epoxy and then mixed?

I used a chalk paint of sort but unfortunately the lady that made them passed away and they are not available anymore. But you can use paint or spray paint doesn't really matter! Hope that helps!
When you are pouring the glitter on the cup, what adhesive are you using to make it stick? Mod podge?
Epoxy method. That gives me plenty of time to work. Mod podge would dry way too quick for me to do all those colors and layering
Love the colors except the dark top. I will try this with lighter sky color.

Question- why use modge podge instead of another layer of resin? Just curious, i always thought the resin would be longer lasting than the modge podge. Thanks
Mod podge is just to seal in the vinyl and the bottom sticker. I finish it off with at least one layer of epoxy. 😍

So does the epoxy get on the inside of the cup? Or do u protect the inside top with tape or something? I'm going to start making cups and I want all the bases covered lol
It will get in the inside. But I clean it out frequently. I mostly use tape in the beginning with I paint. Paint is a lot hard to get out of the inside of the cup than epoxy. You can just scrap it off with a razor blade or exacto knife
I love this tumbler...i am also in texas..no longer living by the gulf (CC)...now in the Austin area...but my heart is at the beach....i want one like this., I was very surprised by the green glitter but i LOVE how it looks there...so...i am looking for these products.. i googled the paints you are using and the website is still up...do you think someone is taking care of the site now?? and what size is your sampler pack? Love this! How do you keep your whites so vibrant? I had an issue with mine sinking into the color.
Thank you! I use white acrylic paint and white epoxy dye. Mix it well!

@Sarah Truell you are welcome!! Be sure to string it into the epoxy and use some heat to get the lacing like the waves have. That will help too!
It's ok to use poly? I didn't think it was fda approved for something you drink from. If so that would be nice because it's cheaper than epoxy and you don't have to wait as long. I really enjoyed watching your video you are a very good teacher. Thank you.
The polycrylic is just to seal the glitter to keep it in place. The rest of the layers are epoxy. Thank you!

@@vickigarvey196 OK! So there is a reason I didn't link those... The vinyl is only available at a store by my house. It is a frosted glitter vinyl if you want to look for something similar. And the transfer tape I use... I do not recommend because I really don't like it all that much... So sorry!

I had to take 2 Xanax, a shot of liquor to get through that crap. It's a beautiful cup ! I hope I can find it somewhere else. This is way to extra of directions. Can't anyone keep it simple anymore !
What's funny is that I make cups to relax and relieve my anxiety 🙃. Be careful mixing pills with liquor that could be dangerous 🥴😅
