Opposite sides of the same coin really. One was a "normal family" that every one reacted to how weird they looked. The other was a weird family that didn't care what any one else thought.
Of all the Hollywood hot rods built by George Barris, the Munster Koach is the one I would want to own. That one is my most favourite of all his custom cars, even more than the Batmobile.
I didn't know who was behind building all of those amazing hot rods. Great to know! The rumble of a real hot rod is something to behold. Can you imagine driving this car through the streets? If it really sounds that tough, and I don't doubt that it does. I wish they still made glass paks.

The family also have Creature from the Black Lagoon relatives. And Butch said something abt Marilyn is Lily’s sisters child and her sister was Vampire too but married an eccentric human and Marilyn took after her father so she appears human. But accepts that she didn’t get the “ good” genes.
I like how in this episode, the kid Elmer, did not judge the Musters for being different, and actually appreciated them at the end of this episode. Where as in most other episodes they are judged rather harshly for their differences.
There's another episode where another kid, named Galen, meets Herman and eventually the rest of the family and doesn't t judge them. Galen tells his parents about the Munsters and they don't believe him. So they have a doctor, the great Harvey Korman, talk to Galen. Then he and Galen visit the Munsters and that's when it gets hilarious.

I just watched The Munsters marathon this Halloween on COZY, this really was a great show and it's too bad they cancelled it. The last episode aired May 12, 1966, just seven days before I was born.
The coolest car on the show as well as Grandpas Dragula I have a picture of grandpa’s car when it was on display at a car museum that went out of business back in the mid eighties
I saw Drag-U-La at the Volo museum. Not sure if it was the original or a copy, but they had the original car from Corvette Summer and one of the Herbie Fully Loaded stunt cars.
@@AcmeRacing Its a copy. Butch Patrick said the original one was destroyed by not being taken care of after the show and was basically not restorable so it was scrapped.

I saw the Munsters coach at the Cars the Stars museum in Keswick, England. It was full of auto film stars. Sadly the museum is no longer there. The coach I believe is back in the USA
