By 2050, Phoenix, Arizona is projected to reach 130 degrees Fahrenheit every summer. That is as hot as it gets in a car that's left outside in the summer. You know, what's now illegal to leave kids in there because it's fatal. Imagine that outside.
@Mike B "cleanest air"? You are generating the 2nd as country and 18th per person world CO2 emissions. You are like Earth's ashtray. "strictest policies" -- that is funny.
@Mike B please realise how disturbing what you’re parrotting is. You’ve been speaking about statistics from biased sources about something that should be the most basic thing to understand. You, your family and everyone you care about (including your fuhrer Trump) will die if measures aren’t put in place to delay the effects of climate change. That’s not an opinion, it’s fact. Even North Korea is in! Will the US be the 3rd country? Well, they have officially asked to leave not long before this episode of Last Week Tonight but they cannot actually leave the agreement before 2020 so we'll see.

Also a fun Fact: China and India, the largest emerging economies of the world and biggest producers of CO2 by about a hundred country miles, have signed, but do not need to actually MEET the terms of the agreement. Or to put it another way, the Paris agreement was completely worthless in terms of its stated goals anyways.

@Mike B Yes, low wage shitjobs that robots ought to do! Let me ask you this; How come the EU is being flooded by US investment if the economy is STEADY in the US? Because creating shitty low wage jobs based on socialist policies from ARGENTINA of all places, is a really short term way of creating jobs! It does not "create" jobs, it simply makes an american able to work a shit job that a chinaman could and will do at 20% of the cost, then the dude from vietnam shows up and laughs his ass off, yes more people have jobs but even more people have LESS to go around in the long term! because, guess what? Vietnam is not under Embargo. And guess what? the EU exists and is a bigger economic powerbroker, even without the UK, compared to the US. And we dont embargo china. so they sell us things cheaper because you guys stopped buying their stuff, remember, basic supply and demand here. However, this means you got 1.6 million shitty jobs, worked by, americans, selling goods in the US only, because everyone else gets their stuff from china....because its cheaper and quality is about the same, fuck the chinaguys even do cheaper deliveries! Fucksake the economic policies Trump is pursuing are literally from the fucking 1700s and endorsed by KARL FUCKING MARX!!! Fun fact: I learned about global warming in my 8th grade science class. Thanks Mr.B! Seriously how do these guys not know how global warming works? I understood it at 13 years old
They're just skeptical because of scientists being wrong on several occasions, can be ignorant of what climate actually entails, and generally don't care because we'll be dead before the world ends
I don't know exactly who, but when scientists began to claim that many cities would end up underwater by now due to melting polar ice caps years ago and it didn't happen like that, lots of people seem to have lost faith in global warming. It's just from what I've gathered from comment sections, whether their sources are true or not I tend to take their comments with a grain of salt
afcforever Seriously bro??? I lived in an Archipelago country and lots of our smaller islands are gone from the raising sea level, and our shore keep diminishing, sea level keep raising up by some centimeters each year. Do note that the island used to keep increasing due to coral growth and volcanic activities.
As a German it makes me angry that he pulled out of the Paris Deal. Europe and Germany are independently getting greener - Germany uses currently 36% renewable energy (which is still too low for my liking) - but that the USA pulled out doesn't endanger only the USA itself, but the whole world. The USA is on second place of highest CO2 emissions of the world, but largest by CO2 emissions per person. (16 tons per person) It has a _responsibility_ to reduce its emissions and to get cleaner. Because Europe and Germany can become as green as we like, when the USA emits even more greenhouse gas than they do now all that doesn't help. But if we're lucky Trump won't be reelected again and the next president stays in the Deal.
This doesnt change anything. The paris climate agreement is the shittiest agreement ever. Every country that signed it say they will reduce carbon emissions. But if they dont there is no consequences. Its empty promises.
@@CryotoWolf Well, I agree with you that not much happened so far (which is very disappointing), but at least there was an effort to reduce emissions and to do so globally. Trump wants to increase coal mining (also bad for environment), the government has now given the ok to search for oil in the sea with seismis waves (which will harm marine species), he doesn't believe in climate change. Maybe the Paris Agreement weren't so far successful, but with his climate policies he goes backwards and successfully prevents the US from fullfilling their share of the deal.
Believe me I'd love to have a government easier like Europe's. But the issue is that my senator is like your chancellor. And I don't even know who that is or really what he does. We don't have the same relationship with our states as you do your nations even though many of our states are LARGER than your nations. In our minds the president is the equivalent to the chancellor but in reality he's more like Julius Caesar. He's the elected head of an empire basically that thinks like a nation. Politics are so Goddamn messy here, mostly because NOBODY realizes those facts. The United States is basically an empire, and yet I have NEVER met another person American or otherwise whose ever just came to that realization. To everybody it's a giant nation like France or a compounded nation U.K. with multiple large chunks of varying independence. And because we view it so, we don't really behave politically like we should. My state is a fucking nation basically, but until like 2 years ago the only election I really knew anything about was the presidential because it's so controversial. Same with most people. It's its not our perceived nation leader then we couldn't give two fucks half the time. It's honestly not comparable to Europe like that. Even though it SHOULD.

*actually, "climate change" aswell as "climate crisis" are _unwords._ there is no such scientific term as "global climate", because that would paradoxize the existence of "climate zones". what we do have, is "global temperature" and "global temperature change". if you keep using the wrong terms, all you do is cheerleading the doubters & disbelievers.* yes, it's getting warmer, ofc it is, we're at the end of an ice age and spring is warmer then winter. the problem is that we dig out- and bring co² back into the cycle, that has been kicked out of the cycle millions of years ago, which was the basic reason for all of us humans & plants & animals that we know nowadays to thrive into prospering existence. we're manipulating the cold-warm-cold-warm cycle in everything else then a smart and/or healthy way. our global main goal hast to be, to put as much co² back underground as we can. some ~20 year old german students actually invented a selfpowering machine that does exactly that, tho alot more efficient then burying trees.

It used to be a conservative thought: saving the environment, the value we've inherited from our forfathers and God, what's more conservative than that? The first law about nature protection was pushed by Teddy Roosevelt, EPA was started by fuckin' Nixon of all, the first carbon emissions cutting program was made by the Bush administration. This SHOULD NOT be a partisan topic, the only thing partisan here should be the way HOW TO DO IT. The choice between the market-oriented solutions or more centralistic approach.
If it costs too much in the short term, Republicans cannot agree to that. Short term financial gain must be had at all costs for Republicans. That's all this comes down to. Republicans are immoral scum. This could not be more obvious.

The difference between the global average temperature now and the last ice age is only about 5°C so I'm sure you can imagine how disastrous a 2°C increase in our global average temperature would be.
The world's scientists get it, but Trump doesn't get any money in his pockets by paying attention to real facts. He's greedy, ignorant narcissism at it's worst and the U.S. is paying dearly. I never thought I would live in a world where not only would a French president welcome American immigrants, but encourage them to consider France as a new homeland. This is a situation so dire, not even the FRENCH will waste time with posturing.
Oh I'm aware of the perks, meant it more as a cultural matter. For instance: I'm Swiss by descent, and even if I were to move there, be fluent in the languages, be a functioning member of society and marry a local, in their eyes I would never really BE Swiss and it certainly wouldn't be my homeland. It's that distinction in Macron's invitation that caught me off guard.
Good thing, that some of you guys in America are still willing to fight against climate change. Shows, that even the president can't do whatever he wants. Thumbs up for that. :)
Trump may have pulled out of the Paris Climate Agreement but the big question remains why did Fred Trump not pull out of his wife sometime in September or October 1945. This all could have been avoided
KingDT2007 pulling out has shown to be about as effective as... well, as effective as Trump has proven to be at draining swamps or making America great again or at really ANYTHING other than destroying everything he touches. Now, had Fred strangled infant Donald with his still pulsing umbilical cord at the moment of birth he could've saved the world a lot of grief.
we just would have had another idiotic talking piece in charge. His supporter don't love him they love how stupid he is. They feel like they can relate.
Well considering all the Russia business behind the scenes and Trump puffing out his chest at North Korea, I can almost guarantee that we're not going anywhere good. Because when nukes are involved, literally no one wins.
Actually, the topics are sad, but Oliver presents them in a too goofy way if you ask me. Every sad fact is countered by stupid joke. But this climate change topic deserves no jokes.
xCactusWingsx I think you misunderstood my analogy. As someone who wants to be a ecologist (scientists) for a living, I feel like Trump is telling us it's not worth it to do what I'm doing. like he's giving us all a metopholical middle finger.
I live in Florida, where it is illegal to use renewable energies to solely power our homes. We MUST be tied to the power grid, and we MUST be paying for their electricity, no matter if we're powering our homes with solar, the SUNSHINE STATE. We can't disconnect from the power grid without being charged and fined, or arrested.

All this shit with the paris agreement and global climate change is starting to make me self-conscious about the stuff I do. We as individuals need to start taking steps to reduce global warming.
TheFirstNoel I agree with you. Just as simple as recycling or conserving water helps our planet. There is a manager at my job who doesn't recycle because the utility service company that picks up the garbage doesn't offer a discount. Well he wants an incentive to recycle. I don't need an incentive I do it because I actually care about our planet. Also I live in a desert and conserving water is a high priority
Calle Q omg that makes me so mad... about your manager. My business doesn't recycle right now, but me and a co worker have our own recying bin that we take turns taking home... and I've tried to approach some managers about a recycle program, and the response I'm getting is: costs more, more work involved, people won't actually follow through and use it correctly... a lot of these are misconceptions... So it just sucks :(
I don't usually leave comments at all let alone comments like this but I actually cried watching this video, I mean I literally shed a tear. I am so pissed that this is the state of our country. I'm so pissed that 70 year old climate change denying fuckheads that will be dead in 20 years are shaping my future and how the world will be after those years. I'm so pissed that they are regressing possible advances in technology, industry, new jobs, and the global economy as a whole. I'm so pissed that it feels like people want to make this earth a fiery hellhole.

Absalon Records Is knowing French a requirement, or can we learn while we’re there? Do people speak good enough English that I could reasonably have a conversation with someone? If not, is it possible to get a translator? I’m asking these questions because I may need to leave the USA for France if the current trend over here continues. I’m not likely going to go for a doctorate, or even a Master’s, but undergrad is from (potentially) one of the top Universities for Sustainable Development right now. YES, this exactly. Now that we are transcending into space technology and advanced science, no president should be allowed to be elected unless they have an understanding of science, technology, as well as health.
How would requiring a degree help? Trumps daddy bought him an economics degree, and Trump has proved repeatedly, that he doesnt understand even the most simple, most fundamental facts about economics.

Apparently, being above the age of 35 is more important than an education in law, American history, or anything else relevant. The presidency has some of the most lenient eligibility requirements ever. The idea that "anybody can be president" is both a wonderful promise and a terrible threat.

After the sun goes nova we really will have a relocation problem. Much of the rest of the galaxy's stars will be dying around the same time. Hopping from star to star won't cut it for long, we'll have to find some way to farm them. Our best bet will probably be to upload our minds onto some highly efficient computational substrate, so that we can experience subjective years in a second while requiring very little energy.

This is also why we should be adding more funds to important programs like the space program which the US is not doing. We used to be leaders. We used to be at the fore front of discovery. Eh, it's an often repeated mistake. Also, fun fact for anyone who didn't know; his name isn't Mahatma Gandhi; "Mahatma" is not a name, but essentially a title. I'm from this mythical place called Denmark; we're a small country and are all-in-all pretty damn insignificant on a global scale (despite our politicians believing otherwise) but we do pull our weight. I don't care about the US making more money than us... I simply want the United States of America to pull their weight in this climate debacle. It isn't about money - nor should it be about money. It is about ensuring a future for our planet and the generations to come. It is a far bigger hubris to believe you, the politicians of the US, have the right to doom the world by not participating in the fight to save it.
Sanjog Wayne thanks! I always get excited when I encounter people who've been here since most people only know Denmark through conversation. But I'm happy that we made a good impression :)
There has been an intense focus on reducing our national carbon emissions and creating sustainable renewable energy opportunities. Despite being a small country, politicians, companies and households alike have all been willing participants in trying to reduce our carbon footprint; many private homes and institutions have solar cells installed, along with a growing number of "solar-farms" popping up throughout our countryside, and energy companies are making the gradual shift to exclusively using/selling renewable energy produced by windmills.... And so much more! We are making an effort: despite our small size, we realise the importance of making such changes and even though we are less than 6 millions people, *we pull our weight and we are proud to do do*
As a german i can say Donald Trump acted like a giant baby on his europe tour, everyone here doesnt kow if we should laugh about him or be afraid of him If that wasn't a total embarassment to every american i would be worrying about americans
That is how we feel all of the time and I think it's a natural response to trump's incompetence. He is so inept, you have to laugh to keep from crying.
*Per usual, Trump did the exact opposite of what he should’ve done.* He pulled out of something that could actually save the planet, but 34 years earlier he *_didn’t_* pull out and we got Eric.
Since the Paris accord, China has become the number 1 producer of solar electricity and India has cancelled coal plants in favor of solar power plants. As usual Trump has absolutely no idea what that agreement involves.
As long as no one is talking about nuclear power to replace the mainstay power producer, wich solar and wind can never bee, theres no point in any accord as it will result in nothing regardless.
Thor M Actually, wind, solar, water and other renewable energies could be the mainstay power producer, it just needs further development in power storage and management
"The commitment is not legally binding and there are no consequences." Just tell Trump the agreement is like marriage vows: utterly meaningless and no sense of commitment. Maybe he'll get it.
I feel bad for John Oliver and the Last Week Tonight crew. I'm sure they had all sorts of ideas for shows this season but instead they are stuck covering Trump every week because he pulls some ridiculous shit on a near daily basis now.
Guys, I was a staunch Trump supporter, until John Oliver called him, "Drumpf," and I thought that was a really compelling point. How could I support a man who could so easily be called something that isn't actually his name??
He's way better than Colbert. I like Colbert because he's on more often, but he's really distasteful with his anti trump stuff. Like, John Oliver will set up a banquet of facts and take us through course after course of analysis, where as Colbert will pile one plate high full of headlines, then garnish it with dick jokes, add a little clickbait, a pinch of outrage, and funnel it down your gullet.
The Paris accord was only going to lower global temperatures by .02 (two hundredths) of a degree by 2100, which isn't even detectable. Obamas former head of the EPA confirmed this. And the agreement was costing the US 100 million PER YEAR, which could be much better spent on infrastructure. This was a good move by trump!
Remember when Trump was elected and everyone said they have to look out for each other cause the federal government won't. This is that time. This is bigger than politics. This is Earth we're dealing with now. This isn't even much about morals. It's just about common sense. And we can't afford to mess this up.
Who else thinks politicians should keep their faith to themselves at all times? I hate hearing stuff like "and the Lord designed it that way" from an elected official. Your job exists so you can represent ALL people in your district/state/country/whatever and you can't possibly do that by putting your faith above reason. Separation of church and state should be paramount!
I'm Christian and I totally agree, a politician can be religious, no problem with that, but I'm my opinion, they should separate church and state, not only that but a good Christian wouldn't even be a politician, that's the man's law that's has nothing to do with the church

I just think Trump looked at the name of the agreement, saw that it didn't say AMERICA, and decided to withdraw on those merits.
Nevermind America, he saw that it didn't say Trump and decided to withdraw on those 'merits'.
Well the reason he and his buddies want to repeal Obamacare is the name of it, yeah? It doesn't help he has nutjobs whispering in his ear.
Both of you got it wrong, he didn't see "WE'LL PAY YOU MONEY TO STAY IN THIS AGREEMENT" and he decided to withdraw on those 'merits'.
DannyBoyTrip nop he didn't see he's name
I think you're giving him too much credit. The people he listens to probably just told him to do this.
By 2050, Phoenix, Arizona is projected to reach 130 degrees Fahrenheit every summer. That is as hot as it gets in a car that's left outside in the summer. You know, what's now illegal to leave kids in there because it's fatal. Imagine that outside.
Mystery Man And the fokes on the coast better start developing gills
Mystery Man Its all good we all want to die here anyway
As a person from Arizona, I can confirm that you don't want anything to be as hot as a car left outside in the summer.
It's okay we just have everyone get A/C to keep them cool, and to power all of them we'll build some more coal plants waiiiiiiit
BUT BUT BUT WHAT ABOUT HER EMAILS?!?!?
Gotta admit, that moment when they announced the Paris Agreement and people were standing up and clapping made me a bit emotional.
@Mike B "cleanest air"? You are generating the 2nd as country and 18th per person world CO2 emissions. You are like Earth's ashtray. "strictest policies" -- that is funny.
when I saw it on TV, tear streaming out of my eyes, just looking at it now makes me cry. such a powerful moment.
Get a clue.
yes, because after 30 years of trying, all countries in the world finally agreed to do something, anything, to slow our march to extinction. "For a small and forgotten time...."
Fun fact : only 2 countries have not signed the Paris Climate Agreement.
- Syria, which is in ruins in the midst of a civil war, and
- Nicaragua, who rejected it because it DIDN'T GO FAR ENOUGH FOR THEM!!
Even North Korea is in!
Will the US be the 3rd country? Well, they have officially asked to leave not long before this episode of Last Week Tonight but they cannot actually leave the agreement before 2020 so we'll see.

But it's 2020 now..!
Then surely trump pulling out was not only completely unnecessary but also needlessly provocative?
@@laurenbastin8849 Depends what you mean with "needless". Trump gained political capital from it, and the majority of voters simply don't know how toothless the Paris agreement actually was.
@@Alexander_Kale fun fact: india is the FOURTH largest not seconnd. the US is the second largest.

"cum here, and work♂with us"
"Trump is creating millions of jobs..... For the wrong friking country!"
Hit it square on the nose, John.
My nation was reliant on trumps current economic model for, oh, about 1200 years!!!
So answer me this; Why did Denmark stop relying on its mercantilism economics and trade tariffs?
Dont bother I will help you; Because 1; it hurt our economy along with that of our neighbors, 2; the prussians yelled at us very loudly, 3; france threatened a fucking invasion! 4; britain destroyed our navy and we ran outta wood basically!
If you want your future to be that of Social Democratic Denmark, do vote for Trump next time, because his policies are so fucking socialist that social democrats across the world go "yikes, thats a step too far pappa stalin!"
Yeah, with a chair!
It's very nice here in France. Howdy to ya'll back in the USA.
I just think Trump looked at the name of the agreement, saw that it didn't say AMERICA, and decided to withdraw on those merits.
Wrong FUCKING country!
Climate change doesn't end the world the world will be fine the problem of climate change is that it makes the world unsuitable for humans to live on.

We don’t want him! Take him
As a German it makes me angry that he pulled out of the Paris Deal.
(16 tons per person)
It has a _responsibility_ to reduce its emissions and to get cleaner.
Do you even know what clean energy is. What's being claimed as free energy is the biggest scam I in history oh wait that's the pandemic of 2020.
@@Magrat_Knoblauch I agree with you but wanted to point out small, oil producing nations like Qatar have higher emissions per person

That fact that someone who is a compulsive liar is even allowed to remain in office, should really tell us all we need to know about this...
Um all presidents lie...at least it obvious with trump. Obama's ability to lie was horrifying by comparison.
Marlide Leblon ? Is this an ad?
Murderous Johnny that isnt a defense of Trump. And he provably lies or at least says things he is misinformed on statistically more often than any other major American politician....
Rennis Tora blame it on the ignorant American who listen to every words of he said without asking questions cuz they too busy cheering for him
Does it really matter? You guys are just arguing with each other on which crook you think is worse, in the end they are essentially all the same and the course is not going to change. This also applies for john oliver, praised for not being afraid of speaking against multi billion dollar corporations while working... for a multi billion dollar corporation.
John, please more episodes on the climate crisis. It's dire.
*actually, "climate change" aswell as "climate crisis" are _unwords._ there is no such scientific term as "global climate", because that would paradoxize the existence of "climate zones".
what we do have, is "global temperature" and "global temperature change". if you keep using the wrong terms, all you do is cheerleading the doubters & disbelievers.*
yes, it's getting warmer, ofc it is, we're at the end of an ice age and spring is warmer then winter.
the problem is that we dig out- and bring co² back into the cycle, that has been kicked out of the cycle millions of years ago, which was the basic reason for all of us humans & plants & animals that we know nowadays to thrive into prospering existence. we're manipulating the cold-warm-cold-warm cycle in everything else then a smart and/or healthy way.
our global main goal hast to be, to put as much co² back underground as we can.
some ~20 year old german students actually invented a selfpowering machine that does exactly that, tho alot more efficient then burying trees.

Daario Naharis: Well, how many US cities are there that stand for old-timey industry and also start with a P? Was probably a stylistic choice.
I thought Trump won there, but maybe I'm wrong. If he lost that would be even more funny XD
It was a style choice that happened to coincide with Pitsburgh's reputation as a steel town, blue collar, hard hats, smoggy skies, high unemployment as the steel mills close. But like much of the rest of the world, it has moved on beyond Trump's vision.
I used to find these hilarious but now it just depresses the hell out of me.

I live in San Diego! Agreed! #California
yes, Unfortunately I do not think Texas will be hopping on that bus.
Your Governor isn't good, in my opinion, but I have read where some parts of Texas has embraced renewable energy, and is using solar power. That's a start in the right direction.
Greetings from Hawaii! We're with you on staying true to the Paris Agreement.
Ahh this sucks :( I live in Nebraska😞
Paris isn't in Pittsburgh? Damn you, DeVos' geography curriculum!
Hey, don't criticize her master education plan, I haven't been mauled by a bear yet.
You lie! Paris is a country!
wait, I thought Paris was a country
I CANT XD
ChasdielOfTheEnd j
Lol it’s the future now, and we back in babyyy
At least from the bright side, Trump learned how to pull out.
Can I hug you? Or like give you a medal?
Max Maskari damn!
OHHHHH! SAVAGE!
Max Maskari I guess that IS a plus.
Would have been better if his father did.
trump is a real life villain.
I have never gotten physically angry at a Presidents speech. Dubya had his moments but with Trump....... Every time he opens his mouth I make a fist
So put it up your Ass Comrade
you should seek some treatment
Sooooo is Macron’s offer still on the table?
Yep. Since he's been elected he kept asking pissed of american and british citizens to come work here with videos like that. Some actually did. He is mostly talking about highly qualified people, but still... I'm french, voted for that guy, didn't regret it
Absalon, you dont regret it for actual policy or for all the fanfiction of him and governor trudeau? 😂😂😂
@@tieyourmotherdown90s80 haha I mean.... BOTH ! such a love story
Macron and Trudeau are actually the same person
Absalon Records Is knowing French a requirement, or can we learn while we’re there? Do people speak good enough English that I could reasonably have a conversation with someone? If not, is it possible to get a translator? I’m asking these questions because I may need to leave the USA for France if the current trend over here continues. I’m not likely going to go for a doctorate, or even a Master’s, but undergrad is from (potentially) one of the top Universities for Sustainable Development right now.
I took Spanish rather than French in high school, so...
Am i the only person who got so depressed i cried halfway through this?
only the smowflakes
No not at all. None of this is okay
@하하하대다수가 I'm sitting in my car with the engine running. Not because I need to but because I can.
I was hit with a wave of depression this morning. And then I came across this video, and yeah, it made me cry too!
The US should require their politicians to get a science degree aside from their law degree.
Researcher Researching Research trump has no law degree to my understanding
YES, this exactly. Now that we are transcending into space technology and advanced science, no president should be allowed to be elected unless they have an understanding of science, technology, as well as health.
How would requiring a degree help? Trumps daddy bought him an economics degree, and Trump has proved repeatedly, that he doesnt understand even the most simple, most fundamental facts about economics.
@@dfuher968 No one's talking about an economics degree Sherlock. Are you fucking blind or just ignorant? re-read the OP's comment. "Science degree" he said. And simple because we are advancing towards renewable energy, clean resources, planet maintenance, and planetary multi-habitat. Yes it should be required for the person not to be a dumb fuck like trump.
Apparently, being above the age of 35 is more important than an education in law, American history, or anything else relevant. The presidency has some of the most lenient eligibility requirements ever. The idea that "anybody can be president" is both a wonderful promise and a terrible threat.
As a Parisian, I am so much happy to learn that I am not represented by Donal Trump.
I am going to open a bottle of Champagne to celebrate this
I am sorry gor citizens of Pittsburgh . They are unlucky
I'm jealous... but hey can you teach me French? It seems I was invited over 15:25
You should also toast to Macron's presidential handshake. I chuckled over DJT's truce signal double-release attempt, while Emmanuel held on, asserting dominance. Outstanding. imgur.com/gallery/Niu8xBd
Pour me a glass because I need something to get over the fact that he represents me. :/
C'est amusat de voir ce trou de cul trump détruit l'amerique.
15:36 Some Disney exec saw this and immediately yelled "Cast this guy in the next one!"
This goes beyond political ideology and party politics. This is just bad governance.
you mean dumbness
It's a more or less equal assortment of dumbness, evil and insanity.
2 planets talking...
planet 1: hey, what's up? You look kinda sick.
planet 2: yeah, I'm not doing well. I have a severe case of Homo Sapiens.
planet 1: Don't worry! That doesn't last long...
Mars will always be there for us.
Until of course the sun goes nova on our asses but 'till then we're pals.
Sounds like a thought from George Carlin!
"Pack your shit folks! We're going away!"
"Earth is fine, it's the people who are fucked!"
RIP George, you are missed.
This is also why we should be adding more funds to important programs like the space program which the US is not doing. We used to be leaders. We used to be at the fore front of discovery. Now thanks to the idiot in chief we are no longer the leaders and we aren't even smart enough to be followers. We are just standing still with our heads in the sand. Truly, the worst President in history and an embarrassment. Vote Out Republicans 2018/2020!!
Lol - nice one. Unfortunately..
Dali Lama is like Gandhi in Civ You might not piss him off easy, but when you do? Nuked ya.
Insane Sanity Gaming ....fyi, it's Gandhi not Ghandi, if you are talking about the Indian civil rights leader.
Whoops!
lol, i would have made the same mistake^^
Eh, it's an often repeated mistake. Also, fun fact for anyone who didn't know; his name isn't Mahatma Gandhi; "Mahatma" is not a name, but essentially a title. It's roughly translated to something along the lines of "Great Spirit" or "Great Soul" - it can be compared to the modern English term "saint."
zach m sources?
here rewatching in 2020 while my country is burning to the ground ✌️
Atia Herriman 😭😭
John Oliver: The height of hubris is 6' 2" and he just pulled us out of the Paris Agreement.
*SHOTS FIRED*
thanks John. you take political satire to new levels, but it's worth it.
Last time I was this early, the Earth had a chance.
Molten salt reactors can give it one
the Colossal Titan turn to KEK for your answers.
Pls titan spare us 😭
the Colossal Titan last time you were this early, Eren's mom is still alive
At least I can kick down that wall if it ever comes up.
Ignorance is the curse of humanity
"We don't want other countries to laugh at us"
Mr. President, they're not laughing at the US. They're laughing at YOU
We're also laughing at his voters.
Well... We may actually be laughing at you a tiny bit, for having elected such an idiot to represent you as a country
I'd say we laugh 80% at Trump and 20% at the US for electing him.
maybe 70-30
Lamb Sauceror remember he didn't win the popular vote
Captain Philosophical still
Did you guys know that the word "Trump" is used to say "passed gas" in the U.K.?
@Zoë Rae Nomen omen ahahah
Zoë Rae As a matter of fact I did.
Pip pip. And goodnight to our majesties subjects in: The UK, Australia, Canada, Barbados, St Vincent, New Zealand and Jamaica.
Zoë Rae i still say that lmao
I have a feeling that by the end of his presidency it will mean the same thing in the US
Trump didnt want other countries to hate America and laugh at it.
well I guess you know how that changed
Official ManGo to late they never did if anything thought it was money hungry
Isn’t this the birth of the Olsen Twins bit? Always a classic.
Louise James I studied in Denmark. I have to say it is the most eco friendly country I have ever visited. Kudos to you guys and your government.
We are making an effort: despite our small size, we realise the importance of making such changes and even though we are less than 6 millions people, *we pull our weight and we are proud to do do*
Danes are really lazy in my experience, but good, nice people all in all.
Louise James , no country is insignificant, we all share the same planet. I learned about your beautiful country at school.
The fact that Donald Trump makes George Bush Jr. look like fucking Stephen Hawking by comparison is so god damn depressing.
Can you quickly build a series of walls: 1. Mar o Lago, 2. White House and 3. Trump Tower.....
Hell he makes W. looks like effing Pericles compared to Carrot Caligula
God, I know... Bring Bush Jr. Back LOL
why are these russian spam comments EVERYWERE
Gustaf Larsson I legitimately miss Bush
John Oliver, you are hilarious. Thanks for the laughs.
Sunny *laughs as the world goes down in flames*
Good luck to the people who survive COVID just to have to try and survive the droughts and wars that will inevitably come.
As a german i can say Donald Trump acted like a giant baby on his europe tour, everyone here doesnt kow if we should laugh about him or be afraid of him
If that wasn't a total embarassment to every american i would be worrying about americans
Whothe fck I'm American and I understand. He's a fucking nightmare.
That is how we feel all of the time and I think it's a natural response to trump's incompetence. He is so inept, you have to laugh to keep from crying.
This just in: Germany bans history according to internet nobody.
Unga Bunga Sadly, americas situlation is even more emberrassing. How did the americans even let that sad little fuck in to the white house?
It is scary.
*Per usual, Trump did the exact opposite of what he should’ve done.*
He pulled out of something that could actually save the planet,
but 34 years earlier he *_didn’t_* pull out and we got Eric.
LMAO
LOL
Roflcopter
His Father should've pulled out of the thing Donny grabs women by.
hahaha LOL
Eric the american psycho :p
"I don't wanna live on this planet any more" (Me in 20 Years)
Tilmann Müller more like "I CAN'T live on this planet anymore" lol
You can do it. You just have to believe.
Believing in things does not make them true. c:
Speaking about a goldfish, imagine if it was Klaus watching Trump. 😂
That moment when all the jokes about Trump destroying the world are no longer jokes...
I mean to be fair this was pretty much a given since he got elected. So to my mind they were never really jokes.
THE END IS NEAR!!!
they never were. people just have a shitty sense of humour.
background laugh track should be replaced by crying track.
Forget that..remember when we used to joke about his election?
watching this show as a french is delightful
Huh, I always thought the denonym was " a franc"...
I agree
Since the Paris accord, China has become the number 1 producer of solar electricity and India has cancelled coal plants in favor of solar power plants. As usual Trump has absolutely no idea what that agreement involves.
As long as no one is talking about nuclear power to replace the mainstay power producer, wich solar and wind can never bee, theres no point in any accord as it will result in nothing regardless.
Thor M Actually, wind, solar, water and other renewable energies could be the mainstay power producer, it just needs further development in power storage and management
In other words. The climate change is not particularly dangerous or urgent.
Yes, it actually is dangerous and urgent, or have you not watched the same video?
Maybe. But it still isnt. Because the solution we already have is not used. One we know will work, and we can do now. So its certainly not urgent.
"The commitment is not legally binding and there are no consequences." Just tell Trump the agreement is like marriage vows: utterly meaningless and no sense of commitment. Maybe he'll get it.
I feel bad for John Oliver and the Last Week Tonight crew. I'm sure they had all sorts of ideas for shows this season but instead they are stuck covering Trump every week because he pulls some ridiculous shit on a near daily basis now.
ooktar you just described every talk show host this year and possibly for the next 3 years.
Guys, I was a staunch Trump supporter, until John Oliver called him, "Drumpf," and I thought that was a really compelling point. How could I support a man who could so easily be called something that isn't actually his name??
I have the Chrome add on that changes "Trump" to "Drumpf" so it's all Drumpf to me.
+ooktar Wow that's pretty funny
ooktar Like droppin the unemployment rate to 4% ?
"i don't even know that bear , he could be a dick " john Oliver - 2017
John Oliver is the absolute best.
Austin Bryan Not what he used to be imo. Stephen Colbert has taken over.
Aldo Fan Colbert is dead to me now that he's best friends Russia Maddow
He's way better than Colbert. I like Colbert because he's on more often, but he's really distasteful with his anti trump stuff. Like, John Oliver will set up a banquet of facts and take us through course after course of analysis, where as Colbert will pile one plate high full of headlines, then garnish it with dick jokes, add a little clickbait, a pinch of outrage, and funnel it down your gullet.
LOL Sirake, love how you expressed that.
There's no feud to who's best. Then enemy is Trump. Don't forget.
"it's a little gavel, but it'll do great things."
but it's cute tho!!!! 😂 but you right
I'm sorry
WHAT THE F*!?
Make our planet great again
Anna Bons lmao "na me n earth don't talk no more"
Anna Bons gotta get rid of the humans first lmao
Anna Bons A.
Truuuuuue
Amen
...i felt my brain cells dying as he said that
I'm Christian and I totally agree, a politician can be religious, no problem with that, but I'm my opinion, they should separate church and state, not only that but a good Christian wouldn't even be a politician, that's the man's law that's has nothing to do with the church
That "I know, but still" fucking killed me omg
