i love strangerville so much but i think it’s somewhat due to the fact that on my first gameplay my sim actively seduced the evil mayor’s wife, homewrecked that relationship to smithereens, then like became friends w the Mother, all culminating in him becoming a dastardly botanist. he was the most vanilla-looking mf but he served chaotic evil realness
I have been waiting for this day, I have devoted my entire life to this moment... Finally the ultimate conclusion! Also there is an "evil" option, it takes a while to do it but you can befriend The Mother if you keep choosing "try to communicate" in succession if your Sim has eaten the bizarre fruit, until the relationship bar with her is filled green, she then grants you wishes like wealth, an infinite supply of bizarre fruits you can plant everywhere and spread her influence and one powerful wish to reset your Sims current age, making them immortal since you can make a wish every 24 hours with no chance for fail
I knew you could befriend the Mother, but didn't know about the rest. OMG, I feel the need to play the Plant Sim scenario as a minion of the Mother ^0^
I actually really like strangerville! It gets a bad rep for being repetitive, but that’s only if you decide to treat the infection. The more creative you are, the more ways there is to play this pack. Plus, the world I stunning and the build-buy is honestly very nice too. Some cas things are cool. And the vibes are immaculate. I love myself a good scifi esc small town mystery. In my main savefile, which is a supernatural focused one I started when werewolves came out, I have this vampire x werewolf couple that lives in strangerville. The werewolf is an astronaut who is really into space while the vampire’s entire thing is that she’s a good vampire. She wants to be helpful, creative a more positive reputation for vampires and take care of newly turned vampires to make sure they don’t go down the wrong path. I had her defeat the motherplant as her way of winning the people of strangerville over, as her way of doing a great good deed that could convince the people she wasn’t too bad after all. It made for some really fun storytelling. I will also at a later date have someone go in and revive the motherplant and start spreading the infection around again. Perhaps a child of hers, for extra angst. Who knows. Either way, I’m having a lot of fun :D
I play in this world all the time! Sometimes I play out the storyline, other times I’m just like… yeah, it’s not a great neighborhood. There’s people out acting oddly at night and occasional mold in the plumbing… so it goes. 🤣 It’s a great place to start rags to riches and teen runaways. But I also really do enjoy playing out the storyline in a variety of different ways.
omg this reminded me of my playthrough where my evil alien girlie decided to infect the entire world by selling bizarre fruit fizzy drinks. Good times😆
@Zand it was very fun! I just wish there were more bizarre fruit recipes that actually possessed people since I ended up making a cafe for my base of operations lol
I’ve only played through the storyline once but I do love the world so I just ignore the plot every other time. Although, on a recent game I was doing the Villainous Valentine aspiration and decided to break up the Roswell’s. Went on a date with Ted and halfway through he suddenly went “strange” and I had to end the date early because I could only interact with him by trying to slap him out of it or talk to him and get the one sentence response. They were in the city living lounge and everyone else there was just acting like they couldn’t see this man acting so weird.
Strangerville is still one of my favorite worlds and packs even though I rarely actually live in the world, have only played the quest once and don't use the items all that often. I think they did a really good job because I have the quintessential Sims feeling towards the pack: I forget about her for a year and then I remember her and I'm obsessed for a few days.
I love Strangerville. Fun little adventure, lovely atmospheric town for my scientists and aliens, nice CAS items. Also some of the prettiest townies ever - Mark, Alice and Jess are all stunning!
there's also a mod that allows you to toggle the story off ❤ you need to do it before you visited strangerville for the first time though. you only need to do it once per save
The first (and so far, only) time I played Strangerville, I set up a storyline in which my favorite Sim and five of her friends were asked to house/dog-sit for her GF's high-ranking military uncle between high school and college. Playing the storyline with that crew was *so* much fun. To complete the Stranger Things vibe, I recreated the Creel house as the uncle's Victorian home. There was so much drama with the six new young adults!
I always live in StrangerVille when I play through Not So Berry's Mint generation, and I just ignore the plot every single time, but it is always funny when my possessed neighbors greet me, a Scientist (that I pretend works for the [Redacted] Lab), who can easily cure them but chooses not to, lmao this pack is great and heavily underrated!
I never finished the strangerville storyline .. I started a playthrough but then my game got corrupted or something and I never bothered to try again. This video inspired me to maybe try again I remembered my backstory though and I loved it. I gave George Cahill (guy who lives in the place crash) a backstory - he had a wife and a daughter, but then the plane crashed while he was taking them for a flight. It crashed because of some sort of electro field near strangerville. His wife died in the crash. He raised his daughter on his own, living on the outskirts of strangerville trying to solve the town’s secret. Now, his daughter Charlotte is a young adult. She’s also become interested in the mystery of strangerville. But one day her dad goes missing … then she sees him walking around town possessed. He’s become one of them. Then she meets a woman wandering around the desert confused. She doesn’t know who she is, or how she got here. All she has is a photo of two kids, who she believes are her children. (It’s Bella Goth) and Charlotte tells her that she can stay with her, while they try to solve the mystery of who she is, and also the mystery of Strangerville. Aaand Bella is also pregnant, but not showing, with an alien baby ☺️ and that’s where my playthrough started off.
Strangerville is my favorite world in TS4!!! It really incapsulates what the sims was always supposed to be! Strange and wacky! I love my possessed neighbors 😭 This is also my neighborhood for the Strangetown sims, Nervous Subject flourishes here 💕
Strangerville is the best world to play zombie apocalypse. Just cheat the world in stage 3 and let everyone get infected. Combine it with simple living and off-the-grid and you're golden!
I love this pack with my whole heart. Spooky desert areas are where I THRIVE in the sims. Other good examples are the sims 2 GBA and everything the sims 2 has to offer in terms of lore in strange town. EA needs more spooky deserts
I got Strangerville in a Sims bundle, that 1st month of the OG lockdown and loved it! The Build mode is my favourite (just the classic sims problem of not getting all heights on doors/windows), CAS was great, Buy mode was a little lacking (too many styles and not enough stuff of each style) but some gems hidden in the swatches. Love the gameplay and the world has lovely lots (lots...not builds 👀)
Fr, even if they just added in some sims 3 kind of rabbit holes or SOMETHING it wouldve made it more interesting to play in. The world is beautiful though, I love it regardless ❤
Plumbella, I just have to say that this video made my decision to buy strangerville today. And I am so happy, I've been on the fence for 3 years haha. But I built up an entire story for it. Bella's long lost daughter Genevieve is trying to figure out how Mortimer ended up married to Dina and why Don is married to Nina, desperately sending her messages to investigate Strangerville. Where Senior Pollination Technician 9 resides with a slight weird house...and even Stranger basement.
Idk if I'm just weird but I always have a possessed scientist sim in my save. Which lets be honest makes the interactive career much more difficult lmao
Crap, I am currently in the middle of my own 1st time strangerville playthrough I started last week, so I will have to wait until afterwards to watch your video. Sorry, hen! Just don't want to spoil what the consensus says is the best gameplay the sims 4 has to offer at the moment. I hope it's true. I look forward to comparing notes with your vid after I am done with my own attempt.
strangerville is my fav game pack tbh. i do think it could use a refresh (more western-style cas, more western-style BB, a longer play-through, split endings (to save strangerville with the original aspiration, or destroy it with a new aspiration), lore!!! and revamped lots by game-changers).
I played this the moment it launched. I was sooo excited. My first and favorire play through of it had a male sim named Orion who was paranoid and a loner genius. Since the storyline involves you befriending a lot of people, it was really sweet and inspiring to see him getting better at socializing and he even found love with one of the military women 🥺 He got infected because I was an idiot who walked into the pore filled halway without thinking kfkdkff but it just added to the absolute DRAMA. He worked his ass off to get the cure and then fought the mother with his lover, old man George, and that other townie Dylan whose wife is military. Dylan was his best friend and I LOVED watching them interact. When everything was done and over with he had enough money to marry his lover and move out of the trailer into a nice house and they had twins. I always remember when he was at 8 Bells bar with his friends and it was happy hour and they were all drinking and laughing and chatting and I got so wrapped up in it and then I looked at the sims clock and it was THREE AM the man had work at SIX 🤣 He took a vacation day but that's when I realized I was actually having SO MUCH fun with the sims again! Ahh, I miss that save. I lost it when my computer fried. Maybe I should try playing it again. I bet I could make it ten times more fun with my mods and even more juicy and dramatic.
i wish u put up reactions to shows and stuff obviously i found your channel cuz i love the sims, but hen i would watch content of you making a cup of tea i find you so entertaining
Doing the stranger I’ll mystery was one of my favorite sim moments, I did it for hours one night. I wish they’d do more mysteries in the sims just to mix it up!
So, I think the little notification that pops up that says “Bella feels like someone is controlling her life” or some such, is actually referring to you! Because, well, that’s the truth. I think it does pop out outside of Strangerville and if you don’t have the pack, but I could be totally wrong!
I played Strangerville story once and I liked it, but I wouldn't play it again, simply because I know what happens. Regardless, it was fun and I like things that came with this pack, it's quite underrated.
I got Strangerville as my first game pack when I got into the Sims 4 a few years ago. I picked it purely for nostalgic reasons as I loved the Strangetown pack in the Sims 2. I actually enjoyed the story but it is definitely a one and done experience. I was also so disappointed that Aliens weren't part of this pack but I know that they came with GTW. Miss the Curious family I always played with them and their adorable alien/sim baby 👽
I like Strangerville, I just wish the story wasn't so linear and that the only aspiration wasn't a walkthrough. There should also be a way to toggle the phase of the infection from the get-go. Jungle Adventure doesn't have much to do, but feels so much more open in that regard. The concept was so good, the execution lacking, as it tends to be with early TS4. It should've picked a direction imho, either give us Strangetown vibes or Stranger Things vibes.
I remember playing it and having a lot of fun. Especially discovering the mother, I was so surprised. I haven't played it since but I keep good memories of it.
0:15 TIL that sims 4 worlds have descriptions of you keep your mouse hovered over the world long enough, I normally get bored after the CAS is complete so this TIL isn’t too shocking
I like this pack, honestly just keep the Mother alive haha, get the wishes, plus your sim gets possessed at 2am for about 2 hours, and all their needs is fulfilled, so if helps if you have a full house or something. And if another sim snaps them out of it, then it helps!
I played the story through last year for the first time, it is definitely harder when u actually take care of a sim. It took my sim her entire young adulthood and part of her adult stage. I just wish I knew how to cheat away the infection, I only bought the pack for the world and its pretty annoying when everyones infected
I ^love^ the quest-type/adventure packs. Strangerville and to a lesser degree, Paranormal. Having a storyline to explore is fun. It harkens back to Sims 2 o_o
I don’t have the strangerville pack but I remember as a kid I played sims 2 on the DS and strangetown was so interesting to me. I never really figured out what was happening because I was young and didn’t understand how to play but it’s definitely a childhood memory. It’s one of the first times I felt frustrated trying to play a game because I couldn’t figure it out. Ahhh memories.
Loved this video. I play this with every new save with my "legacy" sim first so that they defeat the Mother and have stories to pass down. I just started a new legacy and they just defeated her. I have never revived the "mother" before, looks kind cool. Fun video 😜
The only bad thing about Strangerville is the lack of replay value. Otherwise I loved this and would love more stuff like it. For those of us who don't love the "building/CAS" sim aspect, this is for sure welcome.
I was late in becoming a "Sim-mer" and this was the first pack I bought because it sounded fun...kind of a let down when other packs didn't have a story to them.
I only played it once but this is the only pack that had any genuine emotional impact on me- I went in blind and when those goofy walking sims came up to me with their glitched out CoMe To MoThEr nonsense it was the first time Sims 4 made me feel things
but being fr, the strangerville world is really beautiful and unique, and the build and buy stuff is really cool and so is the cast stuff, i really dont think its a bad pack to have
I really like Strangerville as a pack. Love the build/buy, the world is really cool, and I had fun playing through the story and seeing borderline-creepy infected Sims running around (although replaying it in every new save isn’t super appealing). The builds were bad, but I kinda expected that. But yea, overall one of my favorite packs.
I think I speak for everyone when I ask "Who are the villagers on your new island?" :) edit: Strangerville might be neat to play through once, but does it have anything worthwhile beyond that?
If you’re into building the windows and doors are amazing, you can also blackmail sims which I find fun, and if you like building creepy/cursed things the items are amazing for that!! If you play with mods it’s the perfect zombie apocalypse world, and also if you befriend the mother plant you can get stuff like good luck, wealth, and stuff like that. The pack isn’t everyone’s vibe, but I personally love it for the build items and also the creepy lab gameplay :)
I adore this pack! The cas and BB is sooo good. And honestly the town is beautiful and the storyline is fun🤷🏻♀️ this pack got so much hate and it did not deserve itS
beat stranger like in an afternoon but spent alllll afternoon playing it and had a BLAST. got really emotionally invested in my sim i remember she had dreads and when i beat it i went to the town bar and like had her get drunk to celebrate at the bar with the military ppl and stuff
I use strangerville for my recently young adult sim whose moved out of home and wants a normal life but then is forced to solve the mystery after a random townie begged for help.
I love Strangerville! It's my favourite world! I do wish there was an option to turn off the storyline officially in the game, but luckily TwistedMexi has me covered. ❤ I often play in Strangerville, it's beautiful.
I liked doing the savior of stranger vile paths but also liked seeing how the other residents in strangerville could all be infected and sometimes with the freegan trait I would get the strange fruit from dumpsters
i love strangerville so much but i think it’s somewhat due to the fact that on my first gameplay my sim actively seduced the evil mayor’s wife, homewrecked that relationship to smithereens, then like became friends w the Mother, all culminating in him becoming a dastardly botanist. he was the most vanilla-looking mf but he served chaotic evil realness
this has singlehandedly convinced me to get strangerville, thank you for your service
That's iconic, love it haha
This has convinced me to get Strangerville. Absolute chaos
Love cucking the mayor and then taking Meredith for myself
I have been waiting for this day, I have devoted my entire life to this moment... Finally the ultimate conclusion!

I'd love to see jesse play through this route!
I literally looooove this pack so I am happy you said something so other people can try it :)
WHAT I DIDNT KNOW THIS- COOL
I knew you could befriend the Mother, but didn't know about the rest. OMG, I feel the need to play the Plant Sim scenario as a minion of the Mother ^0^

I used strangerville in my not so berry peach gen to add some spice! it made things super fun esp without the asperation guiding me though it.
I don’t know you but this is incredible
i honestly forgot this pack had a plot i just liked the western style 😭
SAME LMFAO the first time i played it the cryptic messages scared the shit out of me
No fr like I just bought it for all the apocalypse looking shit stay over there u possessed mofo
i don’t think i’ve played this world outside of its release date lmfao
i never play in this world even though it’s so pretty bc i would just feel obligated to play the story and i really don’t want to :\
I'm the complete opposite. Strangerville became my default world ever since release XD
I freaking love the world but every time i start a new save, i do NOT want to play through the story just to live there so i never do 🤕
I play in this world all the time! Sometimes I play out the storyline, other times I’m just like… yeah, it’s not a great neighborhood. There’s people out acting oddly at night and occasional mold in the plumbing… so it goes. 🤣

I love Strangerville. Fun little adventure, lovely atmospheric town for my scientists and aliens, nice CAS items. Also some of the prettiest townies ever - Mark, Alice and Jess are all stunning!
I made myself a template save to use for new games so I always start with the mother defeated. Strangerville is a gorgeous world.
I'm pretty sure you can cheat through the storyline using "narrative.start_narrative narrative_strangetown_act4"
That’s a great idea!
there's also a mod that allows you to toggle the story off ❤ you need to do it before you visited strangerville for the first time though. you only need to do it once per save
Literally obsessed with Strangerville. The secret agents came into my home, confiscated my furniture, then my sim died fighting The Mother.

I died laughing during the battle where Mortimer was down, and then came back up because of the comments being made, "he's down! *gasp* he's up!" 😂
I can't wait for you to enter your witcher era!!
glad bella's finally home
0:15 TIL that sims 4 worlds have descriptions of you keep your mouse hovered over the world long enough, I normally get bored after the CAS is complete so this TIL isn’t too shocking
i have never seen this gameplay before!! thank you so much and you did it in the best way! thank you thank you thank you
omg I've been going back and forth in resetting my animal crossing island and I think you've convinced me it's time
I like this pack, honestly just keep the Mother alive haha, get the wishes, plus your sim gets possessed at 2am for about 2 hours, and all their needs is fulfilled, so if helps if you have a full house or something.
Omi God, look at the gnome riding the flamingos, how've I've never seen that 😂😂😂
Dossier=dossi-yay, hope that helps
I've been waiting and hoping for 1443 days for this moment
i played through this pack with a member of my werewolf family and now he's a scientist who fuckin hates plants lmao
I have never seen anyone do a speed run of this pack. GG!
I ^love^ the quest-type/adventure packs. Strangerville and to a lesser degree, Paranormal. Having a storyline to explore is fun. It harkens back to Sims 2 o_o
I love Strangerville. Was excited for it in the beginning and still love it! Even the B/B and CAS are pretty good!
I just finished Strangerville for the first time yesterday! 🤣
I only upgraded to sims 4 a year ago though.
Haven’t been here for awhile and I honestly am a little shocked over the fact that there was no “heeeeyy hensssss”
You got to admit, it has cool furniture and careers
i loved the bugs feature from this pack! you can use to eavesdrop on sim's drama and then blackmail them 🤣
i really do love this pack, there’s nice gameplay and i love the furniture, the only bad thing is that it ends so fast
but being fr, the strangerville world is really beautiful and unique, and the build and buy stuff is really cool and so is the cast stuff, i really dont think its a bad pack to have
Oooo can't wait to hear what you think of the witcher! It's my favourite!! After THAT try medieval dynasty! Great city builder!! X
I really like Strangerville as a pack. Love the build/buy, the world is really cool, and I had fun playing through the story and seeing borderline-creepy infected Sims running around (although replaying it in every new save isn’t super appealing).
The builds were bad, but I kinda expected that. But yea, overall one of my favorite packs.
so proud of ur snape evolution bestie xo
YES yorkshire puddings are finger food, how tf else am i gonna clean up the gravy off the rim of the plate?
Seeing you try and complete this was amazing
The Mother scene was really missing nickiminaj dundudundun
this is actually one of my favourite packs with one of my favourite worlds and i’ll die on that hill 😌
I played this world once, and to me it is a one time thing but fair play to people who enjoy it over and over!
I think I speak for everyone when I ask "Who are the villagers on your new island?" :)
edit: Strangerville might be neat to play through once, but does it have anything worthwhile beyond that?
I personally do have my sims live there, but I use cheats to just conclude the story by default. It's a nicer Oasis Springs imo.
Honestly hilarious. Love your videos
I think the Mother is Bella Goth, after whatever was done to her when she disappeared in TS2.
So jelly you get to experience the Witcher for the first time it’s my fav game everrrrrr
You only use a knife and fork to fill a yorkie with food, then the hand grabs it and you eat like that.
This was just so much fun to watch 😂😂😂 I have yet to play it all the way through
The title is so specific lol Luv ya bbe 💜
I use strangerville for my recently young adult sim whose moved out of home and wants a normal life but then is forced to solve the mystery after a random townie begged for help.
i did the main quest once and that was it, anytime i play in the world now (i like the world sm) i just ignore the quest LMAO
I actually like Strangerville story and world 😅
I love Strangerville! It's my favourite world! I do wish there was an option to turn off the storyline officially in the game, but luckily TwistedMexi has me covered. ❤ I often play in Strangerville, it's beautiful.
Not me watching lilsimsie accidentally speed running this a few days ago… and now this happens to just randomly become a video idea 😱
I liked doing the savior of stranger vile paths but also liked seeing how the other residents in strangerville could all be infected and sometimes with the freegan trait I would get the strange fruit from dumpsters
