Thank you so much for this video on treating Parkinson’s … my dear wife has kept her Ketones above 1.5 + through fasting and strict diet for last 8 months and the improvements have been a true miracle…. You gave me the love of my life back. If anyone is on the fence please try it … for us it’s been life changing.

Hello. I'm from Brazil and I need some help. I'm very familiar with the low carb diet and the ketone bodies, I've treated my grandmother's Alzheimer's for years with low carb diet and coconut oil with very good results. But now my father was diagnosed with parkisons, and I'm looking for these ketone esters, but I'm only finding BHB here in Brazil and I need to know if BHB would work exactly as D-BHB. Besides that, anything you can tell me how to do it right for parkisons I would very much appreciate. Thanks

What a brave man, great interview. Thank you for bringing a voice to people like this. Fair play to him for making a change!! I have gone keto (well my own high fibre version) since may 8th 2023. I don’t have Parkinson’s but felt I was on a slippery slope to weight gain and physical break-down of “ageing” so I got going. Little did I know that it would TRANSFORM our lives, as in me, my oldest overweight son who lost all the weight and became a happy charming boy again from a moody angry boy, my second son, 14 who was transformed into non-moody happy spot and dandruff free guy, daughter who became nice! Second daughter who is more reasonable (she’s 11), and darling husband who lost all worry and work stress!!! We are a family transformed and feel armed for the white carb refined sugar future we were facing!! We do still have our food fun occasionally like xmas and birthdays etc, but honestly happiness and health are entirely possible!!! ❤🎉 we need more channels like yours, thank you!!

I know this was made long ago, but I am horrified that... I am involved as a participant of a large, long Parkinson's Study (I do not have the diagnosis). I regularly answer surveys that ask about everything from sleep to medications to exercise ... not ONE question about nutrition or diet.

I've read that deep brain stimulation helps, but that's a pretty drastic costly surgical procedure. There's a thing called intra nasal photobiomodulation that doesn't require surgery but can still stimulate a deep region of the brain. It's not a therapy yet for Parkinsons, but one can do it for just general brain wellness.

This is an awesome video and very inspiring. I also have Parkinsons due to agent orange exposure along with other medical issues. 3 years ago I had a cardiac event that put me in the hospital with a diagnosis of CAD. overweight and short of breath. At that point I decided that I had to make a change. I started walking early in the morning and eventually was up to speed walking 6 miles 5 days away. I started eating healthy and started losing weight . I decided to start zumba classes at 67 and now scheduled to become an zumba instructor. Last week I went to Costa Rica and was able to surf. Life is good. still exercising and eating right.

This UA-cam video was sent to me by a friend. I’d already subscribed to the channel but missed this one. I was diagnosed last summer with PD with just mild symptoms and entered an Drug Research program. It pushed me from Stage One into Stage Two. I withdrew from the program and decided I needed to take responsibility for myself and this disease. I stumbled upon the Gut-Brain connection, started putting 2 and 2 together and started intermittent fasting with Bulletproof coffee and C8 MCT Oil. In 8 weeks I lost 20 pounds, down from 179 to 159. (I’m 5”8” and 66 years old). My symptoms have all but disappeared. I have a slight tremor on and off in my right thumb and my signature has returned to normal after 6 years. I take high doses of Magnesium Citrate for the leg cramps which have pretty much disappeared too and takes care of the constipation. I harvested stinging nettle roots, freeze dried them (I have a HarvestRight freeze dryer) then made a tincture out of it. I use an eye dropper full twice a day which solved the BPH prostate issues causing difficulty in urination. It suppresses the estrogen that causes BPH. The Germans use that over Flomax with no adverse side effects.
Excellent video, now I need to find a Keto Dietician since this is too much for my wife to handle. This diagnosis has been harder on her than it has for me. Thanks so much!

Keto is pretty simple, it’s the old Atkins high protein , low carb way of eating. So u find the list of low carb veggies, like lettuce, celery, peppers, and many more veggies, and the protein is the primary food. Dr. Seyfried w/ Boston University is equally fascinating to listen to bc the same diet is what he and his team of scientists are using for the metabolic treatment and cure of advanced cancers. (They encourage fasting as well to starve the cancer.). He’s interviewed on many YT channels. What I wonder about re. The keto diet to heal PD is the intake of dairy. So expert advice is needed there, and I guess I better listen to this interview… got sidetracked w/ comments.

Phenomenal. Where did William Curtis get his understanding of biochemistry. As a physician who advocates for a Carnivore ketogenic diet I’ve been hoping for one either Parkinson’s disease to take the bait a get on a ketogenic diet. This does not surprise me the success you have had. Thanks Dr. Ginge

Please research Dr. Berg in you tube, google and lots of Filipino are doing keto now. I am loving this lifestyle I’ve lost my indigestion, and my husband as well and his headache. My blood pressure are normal. Health are all good report from blood test. I wished I knew this 7 years ago cos my mum passed away from Parkinson’s and diabetes. I’m changing the history of my family background of diabetes, blood pressures, stroke and Parkinson’s and influence my kids to go low carbs/keto for a healthy happy life. Pls reply to this message that you are already doing low carbs too. Sending love ❤️ from Australia

I'm doing keto and my elderly mum has Parkinson's but she's locked-in to her medications routine. She has to have breakfast, granola with cornflakes, to satisfy the tablet requirements - take with food.
She loves chopped banana for tea, with greek yoghurt and honey. But she insists on cheap honey that's sugary.
I'd love to enable her to reduce the sugary carbs.

I have lived with Parkinson's for almost 14 years. For the first 12 years I relied on meds only...no exercise and no diet strategy what so ever. I ballooned to 325lbs at 5'11" which made my balance and mobility problems more profound. I would be lucky to have the use of my legs for more than 3-4 hours per day. I decided that I wasn't going to simply lay in my recliner and give up. I started watching what I ate, and began exercising. After about a year and a half I have now lost 140lbs and counting. I have fine tuned my diet, including a keto approach and the introduction of mannitol. If you haven't done your research on mannitol, I suggest you look into it. This combination (keto & mannitol) has resulted in dramatic changes to my physical condition, and maybe more important, my outlook on life has drastically improved. And ask anyone who has the disease, the psychological fight is every bit as important as the physical fight PD wages on your body every day.

Vegetables are carbohydrates. The way he talks about restricting carbohydrates it seems to me that we are talking primarily about refined flour and sugar products. For example he referred to the bad effects of Gatorade. On the other hand vegetables are okay. I'm curious where beans fit into this. Red beans black beans soybeans all kinds of beans. They are high in antioxidants and I think they are probably very good for the brain and the gut. But they are also carbohydrates and you wouldn't be eating them if you were following for example the Atkins diet.

Losing body fat greatly reduces insulin resistance by reversing hyperinsulinemia. Eating the ketogenic diet reverses the hyperinsulemia cycle that ramps up when eating too many carbs. Not eating carbs & increasing fat intake burns truncal obesity & reverses fatty liver, which improves insulin sensitivity by reducing the fat storage.
