Setting up a Titan Fitness X3 Rack for my home gym

- I've added the main component for my home gym, a power rack from Titan Fitness. This is the X3 flat foot model at 91" tall. Overall I am really impressed with this piece of equipment.
This video shows you how to assemble the rack, in a few weeks I'll do a follow up and give my impressions after I've been able to use it for a while.

Your video made assembly a breeze, so thank you. I only had a socket set with about a 7 inch long ratchet handle so I found it helped to go back through with a 18" breaker bar and snug all the bolts down when I was done. When I purchased the X-3 flatfoot I also purchased the gusseted rear cross bar. I put the gusseted bar on the back and moved the back bar to the front and put both pull up bars in between them spaced so they can both be used from the inside only. I can't imagine any home power rack being stronger. Anyone looking for accessories for this rack on Titan I strongly suggest the shortest safety straps they sell for this rack. The medium length strap still had too much sag in it to be useful for benching.

@@r8der674 They are all good for pull ups. Shorter version you just have to tuck your feet a bit backwards.

@@r8der674 5'10" You can put that pull up bar on any of the side holes of the rack.
Is this the 24" or 36" depth version ?

So yours came with the 2 pullup bars and a top crossmember? It looks like they only come with the pullup bars now and the crossmembers are $115 each.

I do like it, works great for what I need. It does indent slightly with heavy weight
My good man. Great video. Quick question. Did you use the spring washers that come with it? Or did you just use the flat washers? Only asking because I don't see the spring washers in the video unless I'm missing something. The instructions seem to call for using the spring washers in conjunction with the flat washers. Thanks for your help!
Yep I put the lock washers in. I accidentally put them in on the wrong side, which is why you don't see them in the video.
Still holding perfect after 3byears with the washers in the wrong spot 😂

Do I put the lock washer on the bolt side or the nut side? Also does the flat washer go on the same side with the lock washer, or does the lock washer go to a particular side alone. Like I said, the instructions are confusing. And I hope I'm not confusing you lol! Thanks!

Any updates on the rack? Wanting this one or the rogue flat foot but it's almost 1600 shipped compared to this one around $700

Hey man. Quick question! Titan support couldn’t help me! How far past the upright does the flat foot extend? I am trying to use this information to determine how far away from the wall I need to put the rack to still be able to use plate storage and rack the dumbbell on the back.
Never mind! You put it in the video! Am I correct in seeing that you can essentially put the extended base flush against the wall and still have clearance? That’s amazing. I was really worried about having to put it out 7-8 inches because that would make the space in my garage too tight. Almost went with a squat stand instead.

Does the rack already include the safety pins and j hooks with no extra charge?
Check titan's website to be sure what comes with the rack. I bought this 2 years ago and it came with j hooks but no safety bars, I don't know what the rack includes now
Can you do skinny pull up bar in the front and add the multi to the middle of the top crossbars ?
Yes you could. There are a number of configurations

Does this bottom need to be drilled into the floor to remain stable?
No this flat foot bottom is designed that it doesn't need to be bolted down
What are the dimensions of the rack when measured, is it the same as on the website? Mine is 47 x 48 x 82 3/8 .
actual measurements:
Height - 91 3/4"
Width - 48"
Rack depth - 36"
Foot depth - 50"
Hey Tyler how tall are you? Is your rack good for pullups?
Ordered one. Only got the uprights, missing the pull-up bars and cross-support. Customer service says they are "back-ordered" and cannot tell me when they will be available, not happy. Titan should have told me upfront. :(
Dang that sucks! Wonder why those pieces were missing, maybe it got packed wrong and someone forgot to put them in?
Not surprised things are backordered, supply chain is still messed up and January is definitely the month that gym equipment gets ordered in large quantities.

Did you put a washer on the back side in front of the hex nut? I have like over 20 flat washers left over and I don’t see where it has one In the diagram….
The order goes like this...
Bolt/flat washer -rack- flat washer/lock washer/nut
I had the same issue. I went bolt, washer, put it through the upright, then lock washer, then nut. Per the instructions. No issues so far and had tons of flat washers left over.
This might be a dumb question but I just talked with titan support because I’m having trouble understanding the manual and wanted to make sure that you just use flat washers for the assembly any spring washers our only used for the plate holders is that how you assembled it?
Pretty sure I used all hardware included can't remember. Watch the video all the way through, I laid everything out

Had something similar happen for some car parts I ordered, the company sent replacements the next day, might have just been an oversight in packing

Hey man, I have this in about another $3000 of titan equipment in my basement and I’m so damn lazy. I need to get the motivation and your video did it. I have the same exact rack with a bunch of different accessories as well about how long would you say it took you from start to finish??
