Former army HEMTT wrecker operator here (63S/H8)...... You guys are living the dream! You should look into getting some of the rear spades off of the HEMTT wrecker for your HETS... They're very heavy and a lot of manual labor but man if you need to plant that truck into the ground to pull with the winch there's nothing better.

I think one of the most overwhelming things I have noticed over the years of watching the videos is just how amazingly beautiful the landscape is out west. I have traveled very briefly through Colorado, Utah (Near Zion), and New Mexico and for an east coast guy living between Washington DC and Maryland it has me really thinking about relocating.

Doesn’t it feel like we’re missing out a little on the beauty there! but you gotta remember we get 4 seasons!! They don’t. It’s beautiful to travel to and visit but embrace the east coast. I’m an east coast Maryland girl and it’s beautiful year round!

@22:40 You'd be amazed at what an outrigger pad will do for this. We use them on our bucket trucks. The wood ones are liteweight and will prevent the outrigger from digging in like yours are doing. We can get the whole truck up off the ground in the sand/dirt by using the pads. Will also prevent an outrigger from messing up asphalt or concrete.

Normally a trailer would have little need for bead locks but your recovery techniques are far from normal. And you brought some really big lumber to make some mats from. @Heroinsniffer4life hahahahahaha 🤣 It’s cute you think Dave carries standard insurance. Standard insurance is for the poor. Rich people and multi million dollar companies self insure because it’s much cheaper and makes better business sense from a financial aspect.
I’d bet my brand new be truck that both the business and Dave personally are self insured.
Think about it- break it down:
      SELF. INSURED.
In other words, in the most simplistic, broad explanation:
you break (or someone you allowed to access/use it breaks it) - you buy (buy= fix/replace)
How you gonna commit fraud against yourself? You’d have to be a fucking idiot.
I always laugh at people who accuse him of insurance fraud. People wouldn’t say such dumb shit if they knew what it meant to self insure and how it works.
