After the destruction of the Black Soulstone, the defeat of the Prime Evil, and the fall of Malthael, Angel of Death, countless lives have been lost and the denizens of Sanctuary find themselves struggling through the darkest of ages. Years have passed and, as some semblance of regular life starts rebuilding, a threat as old as the land itself begins to stir.
Diablo IV takes place fifty years years after the events of Diablo III: Reaper of Souls, after millions have been slaughtered by the actions of the High Heavens and Burning Hells alike. In the power vacuum, a legendary name resurfaces-Lilith, daughter of Mephisto, the whispered progenitor of humanity. I enjoy your channel and respect you, but I don't respect the new Blizzard who are so out of touch, they Care more about people knowing they are coming out as Queer vs actually focusing on a game. Mephisto is back, yet we want to talk about LORE, LORE says anything Destroyed on the Hell Forge is gone forever, yet hey let's bring back Mephisto just like Disney for Star Wars brought back Emperor Palpatine. Blizzard is so out of touch it ridiculous, so much so Lilith has a 2nd phase to copy off of Dark Souls YET DROPS NO LOOT WHEN SHE DIES! Post Activison is Garbage and it's time to take out the Trash.

Diablo was an awesome game with gritty characters and a story built on hopelessness. Now it's a game made by lesbians where every character has to be a different race and gender, otherwise it isn't diverse enough. Why make the protagonist a female. It was clearly done on purpose. Why make hero characters that are woman when the vast majority of players are men. It takes away from the grittiness. I get there were female characters in the D1 and D2, but the story line wasn't built around them. Screw the new pussyfied generation and screw Blizzard.
And we're right back to someone wandering around carrying a soul stone with a prime evil inside?
What could possibly go wrong?

She's got a green artificial hand she received after a one sided faustian bargain with a power greater than herself.
Diablo and Baal both did it. Guess it's Mephisto's turn to corrupt a human vessel. I can totally see her coming back with a blue crystal bone hand or something like that.
And I believe it can happen because Mephisto is the most manipulative of the evils and he was playing the "I'm not so bad..." card the whole game.
I can easily see him conning her into doing it in a moment of desperation. "You're going to die but I can help you."
How do we even know he didn't con her once already? Maybe he WANTED to be in the soul stone so he could escape and knew exactly what to say to make that happen.
Honestly, that makes Mephisto more interesting to me. Diablo and Baal are really just blunt instruments. Mephisto is the puppet master.

I did a twisting blades build I literally get no damage done on me. Legendary Item buffs and passives are kinda crazy

I just play Diablo 3 but some items are just so stupidly busted.
Sure this new shoulder guard has superior stats and an additional one. But my current shoulder guard gives my shield throw ability a fucking 435% increased damage, making me practically one shot almost any enemy and shredding bosses!. At lvl 41!
Idk man. I get we want/will get another game but those last sequences felt a little forced to get us to a cliffhanger, to get us to the next game. Loved the game and cutscenes, story added enough lore and world building wise but I think they got lost in the sauce of angel and demon romance.
Had to have the required Girl Boss in the spotlight at the end.
Diablo and Starcraft have always don this, but not for a sequel (in the base game) but to have story for the expansion. I agree that it makes the end less satisfying, but it is probably the setup for the expansion here.
AC franchise have been doing that for years.
Yet they killed biggest enemy Juno off the screen into a comic just to place another one called "Basim" which is literally playing as Micah Bell after the death of mc.
Ubi doesn't even have good writers anymore nor they even know what direction they want to go with on their game franchise.

I think the story and cutscenes of these games have been fucking amazing, loved it. Great campagn. Future content pretty much confirmend, we will get to fight Mephisto, Diablo and Baal :D

I'm confused, Wtf is heaven doing after humanity saved them? Is heaven as evil as hell? And im pretty sure we destroyed the soulstone of the Great Evils in D2. Why the fuck are they coming back?
Heaven got their shit kicked in so hard after D3 and RoS that they shut their doors and are trying to recover their losses. Not really evil to say, but indifferent to humanity, except Tyrael. Destriying a Soulstone housing an Evil will just set them free to reform. The Angels and Demons have means of respawning, its just the Angels got theirs wrecked when Diablo stormed Heaven in 3.
Unless soulstones were retconned then if they get destroyed in a Hellforge on the Anvil then Prime Evils can never return. Adria says some bullshit that their essence still stank in Sanctuary so she could absorb it and focus it to reform their souls in black soulstone. Baal actually just died at the of D2 so maybe he would come back unless explosion of a worldstone is kinda destructive. He got sucked in too either way. Post ending scene should be ripping out the gemstone once in Hellforge and shattering it on Anvil.
As for angels I'd presume tainting of their life source probably hurt.
In a simple answer, it's called Blizzard is out of touch. They want to say story this, lore that, yet forget Mephisto's Soul Stone was Destroyed in Diablo 2. Lore States ANYTHING Destroyed on the Hell Forge is FOREVER. Welcome to the new and out of touch Blizzard.
Maybe time space is different. 1 day in heaven or hell is 10 years in sanctuary. While heaven and hell are recovering, sanctuary is attacked by Lilith and Inarius who are already on Sanctuary?

She'll come back eventually. She's mad because we literally chose to keep the eternal conflict going rather than be "free".
The conversation in the mindscape really reveals that she's not all that bad. She's just motivated by her hatred... which she warns our character is what motivates our allies. She was right in the end

For me real ending was in d2 when tyrael destroyed worldstone and game ended with atmosphere of uknown future of sancturary. Since they had to make new games they just reprinted with low effort whole lore in d3/d4.

Yep, Mephistos Soul Stone was Destroyed in Diablo 2. Lore says anything destroyed on the Hell Forge doesn't come back, AND Deckard Cain was the LAST of the Horadrim..... Yet somehow Mephisto returns and we have more people claiming Horadrim lineage. Absolutely Garbage, Blizzard is so out of touch with their game, HEY where is the loot when you kill Lilith? CRICKETS! Welcome to the new out of touch Blizzard. RIP Old Blizzard and Blizzard North.

Fun fact: Lilith was the first wife of Adam. She thought that because her and Adam were made from the same “clay” they should be equal. Adam didn’t like that and asked god for a new wife who was Eve..who was more subservient, was also dumb and bit the apple and thus the story goes.

@@ASymbolicSymbol I'll gladly do 100 Countess run vs even doing 20 Lilith runs. Liliths Boss AI is so boring and drawn out it breaks the pace of the game. At least from the Uniques, Sets, Runes and Socketed items I find.... I can trade with other players.

Edit to say Lilith Doesn't Even drop loot. They pulled a Dark Souls with the Different Phases, and yet no loot when killed?!?! he is showing up for two dlc expansions. actually his soul was in the black soul stone and was absorbed by diablo alongside the other great evils. reapers of souls ending shows us the blackstone destroyed released all great evils all evils are restoring themselves.

If they never intended on Diablo 3 being a game, then the ending of Diablo 2, and the soulstones being destroyed is a permanent death to demons, is fine.
However, we know that BN was developing Diablo 3, because it was scrapped and re-made.
So we know that Original Blizzard North was already going to bring back Diablo anyway, going against the soulstone "rule". This is a non issue, and not comparable to Star Wars.

Ai Bugging out is a whole other issue. I remember this in Diablo 1 and 2.....NOT! Enjoy post Activision Blizzard, thank God D1 and D2 especially with Mods are still around, it's 100 times better than Diablo 4 ever will be.

And here it is! I'm Back! Not even a month has went by, and everyone has went back to Diablo 3 or D2R because the content for Diablo 4 is so low, there is nothing to do but die of boredom. The Hype train is over, the game officially sucks as I and many others already knew. Metacritic speaks for itself in user scores which is a 5.5 as of this post. I hate to say it, but I told you.... the Old Blizzard is dead. Nothing good will be coming out from Post Activision Blizzard ever again.

Well while you there would you like to check my first pc game on steam called Hell Runner a parkour game on early access. Relatively new indie game developer here :D So i hope in future i can make arpg too.
