The plot description above is dead wrong on several counts. Maybe it was one of those AI hallucinations. For one thing, Jack Kelly and Hildy Parks play the married couple, and the husband's character's name is Gene, not Alfred. John Cassavetes plays the leader of the crime gang. But thanks for uploading! It was a great crime drama all the way through.
The crime that became the basis of The Night Holds Terror occurred on February 13, 1953. Eugene M. Courtier was an Edwards Air Force Base technician, and the kidnapping took place on a Lancaster, California highway. The sale of Courtier's car also took place in Lancaster. The criminals, Leonard Daniel Mahan, James Bartley Carrigan and Don Eugene Hall, were tried and convicted.[1]
One of the better movies of that time.
Great movie. 🍿 they don’t make them like this anymore 😢

The Night Holds Terror (1955) Classic Film, John Cassavetes, Kim Hunter | Full Movie HD
Nail biting till the end.
The same narrator and intro style as in Earth Verses the Flying Saucers...
Moral of the story is DON'T pick up hitchhikers! Didn't Vince Edwards play a Doctor a few years later??
Right! Dr Ben Casey
