it is almost always better to use a mister with DIY paints. They move better and you will use less. Looks lovely!

YAY!! You are using Debi's DIY paint! I just bought a bunch of colors. I am loving the EXTREME pigment color of these paints. I also just bought 7 or 8 of the making powders and can't wait to play with them!! ANOTHER POSITIVE ABOUT DIY PAINT.....NO SANDING TO REMOVE COLOR!! YAY! NO SANDING DUST! Just wet rag and wipe off! Love that!
You experienced what is known as the "freak out factor" people talk about when using this paint. It is crazy how it changes when you apply a sealer!

I just love that! Perfect little piece to work on. Love the color choices and the gold bling bling. I've got jewel tone colors in my bedroom but purple is the main focus. You really dressed up those "odd" pulls and made them work. And...I have a subtle Moroccan theme going on in bedroom and bathroom too! Purples, periwinkle, dark teal blue, etc.
You are a great teacher! Not trying to critique you, Kleen Strip works great. Doesn't take long. Collect the strippings into a can, let it dry out so it becomes inert. Another home run, just beautiful!

First, Great Job! You did so much hard work. On your next piece -You can try skipping all of that prep work by using Salvation Solution by DIY. I love it! Just brush on a couple of coats (comes in white or clear) and it works like magic! No sanding, no scraping. It’s sold out a lot, but to me it’s So worth it! Just a little suggestion to try. Keep up the great work!

I love diy clay paint. And this piece is gorgeous!! I painted some tables for my grandsons nursery in bohemian blue...the highs and lows in the color come through even with clear topcoat...it doesnt look completely even and i LOVE IT!!

@@FlipItFurniture I am just a beginner...ive never blended colors ect but the bohemian blue with rose gold knobs is beautiful....i hope one day to be brave enough to develop real skills like u have down. U make it look so easy but i know u likely had to practice a while and now looks..every piece ive seen you do is just beautiful. I honestly think this one is MY FAVORITE. Those bold beautiful colors. I did take ur advice and painted a pair of nightstands and put them on offer up and facebook marketplace. U may not remember me but I was telling u it have painted alot of furniture for my own home and my parents basically. I was scared to put my pieces up for sale thinking they wouldnt be on the same scale as alot of u on youtube. Took the pics and posted them and now I wait. Ive had a few bites...but not sold them yet and its been like 4 days. Its kind of depressing..ive dropped the price a couple of times already I feel like I might be kidding myself ...and then there's the part that says I will never know if I dont try..thank u for all of ur encouragement. Ur a wonderful teacher!!

don’t feel discouraged. 4 days is nothing. Give it more time. Sometimes it’s takes me a few weeks to Sell a piece. It’s all about finding the right person and sometimes it takes time. Also, It’s a weird time in general for selling at the moment. Gas prices and all of that stuff. A lot of flippers are struggling with sales. Try to stay patient. They will sell.

I have to admit that when u were doing the painting, I hated it. But the final result is gorgeous!
Do you ever make your own chalk paint? I’ve made mine to use on my orangey red oak hardwood floors…floors were so ugly! What’s your experience with it?

Hi! No, I’m not an ambassador for Dixie Belle. I am a Dixie Belle content creator. Not exclusive to any brand. I just really love the chalk mineral paint line so I find myself using it a lot. I enjoyed using Debi’s DIY paint also so this is a helpful reminder to use it again soon. Thanks!
@@FlipItFurniture Thank you for taking the time to respond and to explain. Personally, I have 3 chalk paint kinds: Dixie Belle, Annie Sloan and Debi's Design DIY paint and I usually just use the ones that I like the colors of best.
