Your pitch was too high - it looks to be 20 degrees. Ideally you would need to have a pitch between 0 and 5 degrees to climb to 45 000ft. I completed a short flight with about 35% load (2hrs 45mins fuel) and averaged a climb rate of 1900 ft/min. With these settings on the expert server I managed to safely climb and maintain 48 000ft which was very impressive. I climbed first to 42 000ft then 48 000ft 4 minutes after. What I do is I watch my ground speed - if it continues to fall whilst power is at 100% then the plane is dangerously close to a stall. If you are planning a long flight then its best to work your way up in terms of altitude.
