You did a great job. Just a little tip: since you have such short nails, cut the strips in half and use them for your other hand. Then you have enough for another manicure.
This is great, but could you do a test to see if it would last in the water? Because I swim almost everyday and I’m just wondering if it’s worth the money.
Hi! Thanks for watching! I currently don't have any of these nails. I made this video almost two years ago. I remember they held up well for two weeks, and that included my daily activities including washing my hair, hands and doing dishes. But I honestly don't know how they'd do with swimming everyday.
Very good tutorial. Just a question ... can these gel strips be applied and cut a bit longer than natural nail length but still be durable? (I have very short natural nails and would like to have a bit more length). TIA.
Thanks for watching! 😊 Unless you added a fake nail tip, then I don't think the extended tip would last long after it cured, just because it wouldn't have any durable support behind it.
They shouldn't if you have a strong holding glue. If the primer isn't shiny or leaves behind a slick residue, you could go in with it first. I know the stickers adhere better to a rough, dry surface.
I've never tried those before, but I like Sally Hansen. They might work. All you can do is try! Let me know how it goes, I'd love to hear how they held up. 🙂
Caitlin, you did a nice job of explaining the process and made it look really easy. Thanks

@@caitlinsizemore Thanks so much for your reply Caitlin.
Anytime!
do you have to use that lamp
Yes, to cure them. The UV light hardens the nail
Do you need to add a top coat?
No you don't. Just cure them and they'll be fine.
Can you glue tips on to your natural nail then put the gel nail sticker over the nail tips?
You probably can! Just blend the area that sits on the nail well so you won't see that harsh tip line through your nail sticker.
@@caitlinsizemorethank you, I hope they won’t lift off and the gel nail sticker will seal them on. Should I use a primer as a base coat?
They shouldn't if you have a strong holding glue. If the primer isn't shiny or leaves behind a slick residue, you could go in with it first. I know the stickers adhere better to a rough, dry surface.
@caitlinsizemore The nail tips are Kiss nails brush on gel nail kit. And the primer is Sally Hansen - Complete Salon Manicure Beautifiers, Base Coat

How long do the last on?
Mine lasted about a week and a half before they started lifting
But how to remove them after you use lamp???
Once they wear down, they'll just peel right off. Otherwise you can use the flat side of the wooden cuticle pusher and lift them off.
