people back in the day did some wild stuff with the wiring. i dont know if you follow alex from legit street cars, but hes been working on a heavily modified cobra and the rats nest of after market stuff thats piggy backed or spliced in is wild. as someone with a boosted 97, i just used the SCT tuner and take it to the dyno and they get it all to work properly. congrats on your 1st start, i hope to be at the same point in a few months!
