Переглядів 5155 місяців тому
We installed the engine, K-member and transmission as one unit using threaded rods, all because of the LONG TUBE HEADERS. We found some clearance issues between the tubular k-member and oil filter and also the long tubes with the bell housing. A oil filter relocation kit is necessary with the Maximum Motorsports tubular k-member.

If you line the dot up with the valve stem you are less likely to need weights to balance

Only problem I see is where this nail is located, is a no patch/plug zone. Ie it's a safety hazard to plug/patch a tire in this location. Can you? Certainly. But be aware that it's a hazard and can cause an accident due to blowout.

IDK if this was mentioned before in another comment, but some of us are here to overcome a steep learning curve for the HF tire changer. Small differences in technique can have an outsized impact. In that vein, the video is very enlightening but I would love to see what has been edited out 16:23. The video halts and restarts with the Lucid head in a different configuration and with a bead retainer installed. What challenges did you encounter and how did you overcome them? If the missing portion is long or has bad camera angles, or shows you cursing, so be it. Dwell on those steps because IMO they are important to see.

I clean up the wheel with a wire wheel on a 9" Grinder.. I use Freylube Rim Grease on the bead area. It dries to a sticky substance that helps to seal the bead.. Yet it makes it easier to brake the bead down 10 years later.

Enjoyed seeing not only the successes but also the failures, provided a lot of insight on sequencing steps and procedures to resolve each problem. The series was very comprehensive and a great documentation tool. Looking forward to your next series.

Great video. I eliminated my steering slop (had alot) by replacing the steering shaft( rag joint was fine but had play in one of the ujoints. That was detected by removing the shaft. Very hard to see that play in the u joint when on the car. Then I used MM Aluminum rack bushing! No slop at all now. I found that the rubber and poly bushings were to soft. Matt definitely try the mm aluminum rack bushings!!!!

Great detail but 2 and a half hours to patch that seems like an extreme amount of time even if you've never done it and you were filming... I change them without a duck bill in about 10- 15 mins per tire and just moving steady. If putting a patch on, maybe add a few minutes for vulcanizing cement to dry...
