@@jessicaoutoftheclosetI have a question! 🥰 so, I have cochlear implants and I’m looking into giving my wavy hair a proper care routine. The problem is, I’m concerned about hair products messing with my tech. Have you found any issues with that?
Vintage fashion and hairstyling are what originally drew me to your channel, and I've really missed it. I thoroughly enjoy the rest of the content, but I'd love to see more of the clothing, hair, and makeup content that led me to subscribe all those years ago! So excited to have some vintage aspects as the central feature of a video again!
The twists are basically my go to. Depending on placement and how loose or tight you make hem, they can also do a Gibson girl vibe, if you then put the rest of the hair into a bun.
I was so excited for you sharing your knowledge that I genuinely only remembered that I have had short hair for months now when I was already five minutes into the video. Still loving listening to you though and really enjoy my hair right now, so it's still a win!
Oh Jessica, you are the ray of sunshine I needed to start my day with a smile! Now off to wash my curls. I wash my hair no more than once a week, and I think sponge roller curling might be just the thing for the later in the week styles.
I never want to pay too much for a haircut, but I really needed to cut my hair a few months ago and went into a good hair salon with the best hairdresser I've ever had and because my hair has changed texture these last few years I asked for advice and left with several Kerastase products. They are more expensive than my regular products, but my hair looks SO good!
My Gran always rolled her hair in sections. Very precise. She always used a setting lotion though, because soft baby-fine hair runs in the family, and it hates holding a curl. Very dense though, so the only hair clips that will hold it all are those three inch steel clips.
My go to atm is a headscarf full nonna/folkloric grandma style... Scarves are cute and it hides my roots especially when my hair needs a wash! I have purple with blue ends so also tones down my hair while invoking retro/vintage style
I'm a big fan of side combs myself. Specifically the grip tuth ones that don't slide out easily and don't break. Easier and more comfortable than bobby pins, harder to loose
That was really awesome. Especially since I don’t like to cut my hair, but I don’t know much about styling it! As always one of your most ardent admirers and disability sister.
Thank you so much for this video! I need to do vintage hair on my sister and I for Halloween and I've been worried about finding tutorials. This video had all the information I needed!
I have eczema on my scalp, I can't use any products. Luckily my hair holds curls with just water, but also I have extremely oily hair and so if I want curls I have to put like 30 rollers in my hair and sleep in it every night. So I only do my hair when I want to feel pretty and vintage. I love these because they're easy hairstyles to do with my curls when I wake up the morning from no sleep due to the rollers. We don't have the same hairstyle mines short with bangs but I could do the twists and everything's better with a bow daily easily and still look super cute
Love seeing more vintage fashion videos!! I would love some more ones on recommendations for 1950s clothing & companies that are good to buy from! ☺️☺️🫶🫶😊😊
This looks like it was really fun to make! 😊 My hair won't grow very fast any more, so I cut it all off. I'd like to have long hair but it just isn't for me anymore, so I admire yours and Claudia's hair instead! 🥰👍
I love 50 styles When I am a little girl I get angry if don't dress me with a can can unther skirt. I remember in the beginning of the 60, is usual the mother make dresses in the same fabric but different style for each age including her. The little one bell style under the bust, mi sister 3 years older get the waist tide with the ruffle underskirt ( I want that so bad) and my mother A line dress all of the in guingham fabric and she embroidery x designs. Even today I prefer for me the 50 style dress is sooooo flattering sooooo awww no words. Thanks for the video I love it ❤️
PD: 55 years later I preserve one of the trio 👗 brown and white gingham fabric dress whit the embroidery in white my mama do for us. My nice 37 years old right now, used at the same age then me..
Thank you so much for this! I do a lot of retro music gigs, and while dressing is a bit easier, I'm not good at doing fancy retro hairstyles, but these all look great and doable! You are awesome :)
I wish I could use Kerastase products 😢, they seem absolutely wonderful! But I shall try at least one of these lovely styles to snazz up my look for work.
Hi Jessica. Thank you for your tips on hair duos. I have thin dry straight hair which is a big problem. But some of them won't work for me but I will try all of them to find at least one.
Jessica that Sparrow hair tie does break the hair, a scrunchy made out of silk or satin is your best choice. I learned that while doing my round in dermatology
Great video, pity about the quiz though I told it I was concerned about dryness for my thick curly hair, and it suggested a split ends treatment and a fine hair product. Hmm...
I Love your Hairstyle videos! I love all your videos though 😁 i was wondering what do you do when you have migraines? I have had them about 5 yrs and sometime when I put my hair up it can give me a migraine or when I have one I have to leave it loose, so I was wondering if your Hairstyles effect your migraines? I love seeing your videos and hope y'all are feeling better 😊💜🖤
My child has lots of pretty clothes... but she usually lives in leggings, t-shirts and shoes with playdough stuck on the bottom lol! I often don't get to do nice hair because I usually am on my bike and have to get a helmet over it - luckily I have super cute helmet :) I wore half milk-maid braids (front sections in 2 plaits crossed over my head, back left loose) yesterday when I wasn't cycling and got a surprising amount of compliments! PS - please tell me what lipstick you're wearing, the colour is gorgeous!
Lovely hairstyles, but they all require quite a bit of hair... and a side-effect of many medicines is unfortunately hair-loss or thinning. I for instance do not have enough hair to section it 😞
I don't like to back comb my hair because I feel it damages my hair (super fine and now super thin), so I make sure I've rolled my hair to give it volume. Depending on the style and why the backcombing is used, hairspray also helps as it makes the hair hold together instead of wisping apart. Or adding extra volume by padding the hair. But most of the time I say "meh, good enough" and have less volume than people with thicker hair.
Is it just me or does dry shampoo just not work for anyone else? It doesn't make my hair look any less oily, it does get volume, but in a weird way, and the best part, it tends to straight up dye my hair white..
I love that she enjoys doing her hair so much that she dances! Femme joy at its finest!
It does bring me so much joy! 🥰

I absolutely agree to that!!❣️
I love that these easy hairstyles are just that- easy! So many “easy” tutorials still require 20 minutes and half a dozen tools.
Thank you so much, I really hope people can follow along! ❤️
Right!!!!!????👏🏼🙌🏼👏🏼🙌🏼
Jessica’s enthusiasm is so adorable! Love the picture of “baby Jessica”!
Those side twists are so cute, especially with the side parting! I might try those tomorrow with my sparkly star hairclips.
once years ago i learned to do a hairstyle like that but it was a big twist from the front, into a side braid. these are so cool to do!
The twists are basically my go to. Depending on placement and how loose or tight you make hem, they can also do a Gibson girl vibe, if you then put the rest of the hair into a bun.
Last time I was this early, Jessica was doing her Besamé review 🥰
I love anything vintage and I enjoy seeing your 1950s hairstyles. Thank you for the tips and a wonderful video! ❤️
Awh thank you so much Nancy! 💞

I was literally looking for vintage hair tutorials for a cosplay and then I saw this on my feed, impeccable timing 😘
I have very short grey hair and still enjoy watching these hair tutorials :)
The last one reminds me of one of my favorite 60's hairstyles! I love it.
Jessica, your hair is stunning!!
All hairstyles are gorgeous, but my favourite are the third and fourth. ☺️
Thank you for showing them to us!

This video is so cute! You've inspired me to jazz up my boring unloved hair every now and then

You are so welcome! 🥰
i absolutely adore your hair Jessica its fabulous!😍
Odds are I will never be doing any of these hairstyles, but I will start putting my hair up in sections instead of just pulling it all back at once!
Awesome video Jessica.
Such pretty hairstyles, I can use on my halflong hair to 💚

Hi Jessica. Thank you for your tips on hair duos. I have thin dry straight hair which is a big problem. But some of them won't work for me but I will try all of them to find at least one.
I have the exact same hair type naturally! I hope some of these work for you ❤️
Jessica that Sparrow hair tie does break the hair, a scrunchy made out of silk or satin is your best choice. I learned that while doing my round in dermatology
I enjoy watching these videos even though I have no interest in wearing my hair these ways.
I wish I had more hair. Yours looks lovely Jessica, as always.
I think vintage styles work very nice for you. Interesting video.
Oh my gosh with the side twist look you look just like a red headed Veronica Lake! ( one of my favorite actors OAT!)
Oooh so exciting! I'll definitely have to try some of these ❤️
I have super short hair because disforia and also sensory isues, but I love your voice
❤
Great video, pity about the quiz though I told it I was concerned about dryness for my thick curly hair, and it suggested a split ends treatment and a fine hair product. Hmm...
Thanks for reminding me that back combing exists
I've been working with wigs and short hair for too long lol
Oh no! Does this go in my “vintage hair” playlist or my “*Jessica F-Z” playlist?
Both. It just goes on both.. 💈🎀

She always says when we see her with her straight, natural hair, it means she has a migraine or is not feeling well.
Lovely video! Thanks!
Very nice video! I loved it!

This is strangely applicable because classes are starting not this week but the week after next week. Fall semester.
Hurrah for that timing! 🤗
Hug 🤗 and yay indeed!
Oooh excellent video! Where is that Robin collared blouse from? I simply adore it!! Does anyone know?
Thank you so much! It’s actually a separate collar, from @magnus_clothing_co on Insta but they have closed now.
@@jessicaoutoftheclosetOh that's ashame it's closed down. You have excellent taste in clothes! Thanks for getting back to me xx
In a past video you mentioned using lottabody, do you still use it? Or have you found a substitute product?
Beautiful.
Do these hairstyles work/look good with fringes?
Yes definitely! ❤️
@@jessicaoutofthecloset Hey,thanks for answering my question. How do I style my hair in a vintage way while maintaining my fringes?

Love it

Not my jam..but love the passion!
You sure have A grade hair Jessica especially striking in it's natural state, to go along with that pretty face you have with or without makeup.

Backcombing feels terrible to me, it feels like fingernails on a chalkboard. What are alternatives?

Do I have a buzz cut? Yes. Did I watch the whole video anyway fully knowing I'll never do these hairstyles? Also yes
You are a true fan!!

a lot of dry shampoo contains cancer causing products too

I have question. Does mean i am bisexual or lesbian for kissing photo of girl on balloon or magazine?
Leaving a comment for the algorithm
aaauuuggghhh! You're not a natural redhead?! Sacrilege!
Shame this is sponsored by a company that I had to threaten to sue when they defrauded me before they made good on the problem 😕
