  • A small cabin building project was the perfect opportunity to test the power and convenience factor of Bosch's GKS 57G 165mm (6-1/2”) circular saw and its big brother GKS 18V-68 GC Professional BITURBO 184mm (7-1/4”) saw. Raf Nathan tests both saws at the job site, in the workshop and in conjunction with the optional guide rail. Read the full report in Wood Review magazine, issue 110, out end Feb. And if you're wondering...the background sound is courtesy of the local "crickets" or cicadas. They flick their switch on when things warm up in this part of Australia, and keep their serenade up till the end of February or so.

I enjoyed your video where you changed blades every 10 cuts and changed the battery every 20 cuts. Sanding every cut was needed I know. Setting the nails to 2mm is also cute. Slow motion brings it all to perfection. I especially enjoy looking at the bodies of crickets under a microscope.

Nice looking saw Raf. But I’m mostly looking forward to seeing the completed cabin.
