3 Things to Know when Traveling with a Dog - Italy

We decided to spend holidays on Lago di Garda, in Italy, with our Lagotto Romagnolo Gota.
Lagotto Romagnolos are also known as Italian Water dogs and Italy is a place where they were first bred. You could say that we actually visited Gota's home country.
There are some interesting facts you must know if you plan to go to Italy with your dog.

We brought our 15 month old cavapoo with us to Italy in 2015. She was well received and enjoyed the experience as did we enjoy having her with us for our six week holiday. One restaurant and two art galleries would not allow her entry, but every where else welcomed her.
She did not bark, nor was she aggressive in nature. She enjoyed meeting people and other dogs. One bus ride had no seats available….but plenty of laps were offered for Lilly!
We thoroughly enjoyed our time visiting lovely Italy and her citizens!

I think Italy is a great place to travel with your dog. As far as I hear, it is probably the most dog friendly country in Europe.
My Gota does bark and can be reactive so it is not so simple to take her everywhere but even for dog like Gota Italy is so much better than Croatia where we live.
