Awesome to see this just today. I just payed for a new 3025e today and got a 48” rotary mower instead of the matched 5’ mower. We have crazy tall thick grass and I didn’t want to get bogged down with a larger mower.
I have the same tractor you do and run a 60 inch rotary cutter. I engage the PTO at lower RPM and then increase to max throttle for cutting. I adjust ground speed depending on the height of the grass. I cut back my trails that are mostly in the meadow and the grass is 3.5 to 4 feet tall. I have also used it to cut trails through the woods. It’s a really great piece of equipment for trail cutting.
I had a hard time choosing 4ft vs 5ft when I bought my Kubota B2601. The dealer actually recommended the 5ft...so that's what I have. B2601 runs it no problem
Awesome unit! Perfect size, you won't have to worry about hitting a nearby tree when passing between them. Leaves a really nice cut with minimum clumps!
I used to have both types of mowers. The swinging blades are essential to mowing where there's trash, logs, etc. If you've got smooth lawn, then the finish mower is your tool.
Nice rotory cutter Dave. Ive not got one yet but, I think I would have gotten the 48" too. Also ive had a disagreement with my brother as I have a 7' sickle bar mower and he says I'm working it way to hard at 540 PTO rpms. But the manual says nothing under 540 rpms. It aslo runs smoother and cuts better at a faster speed. Ground speed is the hardest thing on any piece of equipment. Thats why you should take your time and go atta slower pace and keep your attachments at 540 on the PTO. Atleast thats my thoughts.
You have a lot of good content. Thanks for that. Do you ever think you should have bought the 3032e over the 3025e, or are you fully satisfied with the power (torque) output? Thanks!
I put 600 hours on a 3032E I bought new in 2011 and I’ve now had a 3038E for a year. These are great little tractors but yeah the loader just needs more lift. If you stab the bucket into a pile of rock or dirt that is not loose, it just won’t lift it. I can’t complain because I basically bought the same tractor again but if I had more money and patience I would buy a tractor a little bit bigger than what I have and I would buy the one that had the strongest loader no matter what brand it was. From what I have read Kiote might be that tractor. 1835 pound loader capacity on a small tractor would be awesome.
Depends on what you are picking. The loader doesn't have much lift capacity and adding a grapple will decrease the capacity even more. If you are using the grapple for brush you should be fine. But if you plan to lift logs I would buy a set of pallet forks. Much lighter and less expensive.

I usually have buyers remorse with larger purchases, but I am glad I bought this mower.

Looks like it cuts nice! I went with 4ft finish mower.

Might try a chain or flexible top link, follows the ground better
This grass mower design invented in our country before 25 years

I have no regrets with the 3025e, the loader capacity however is a different story.

Awesome
Now I know why the dukes had a brushguard!
how did you disconnect the cutter?
Set it down, disconnect the pto, then the top link and lastly the 3 point arms.
Water in the gearbox? No wonder it's Chinese!
