I’ve started these videos so you can get the most out of your Cigar Box Guitar and Shovel.
In this lesson we explore the classic Blues tune Rollin' and Tumblin'. This is a slide lesson basically, using this song as a vehicle for instruction. It is not true to the original, nor do I wish it to be. I do think I got feel of it. Enjoy

I've heard this song by a number of artists so I became curious and looked it up on Wikipedia. I found out it was written and recorded by Hambone Willie Newbern (Who I never heard of til now) in 1929! He only made one record and all the songs are on youtube. I encourage anyone reading this to look it up. I would really love to learn his version of it.
I'm really fond of Uncle Mark's version as well :)

Thanks Mark. I get the barring by the left hand slide. It is the string picking sequence of the right hand strumming. You have a rythm I cant follow. Sorry to seem dense.

Thanks for lesson. I get the first part sliding to the 3 fret. I can' t make out your picking pattern on the 5 and 7 frets. Assume you are barring the slide on those frets
