Larkin Poe's version is the best of the Blues. Megan tears it up on lap steel. Rebecca's vocals are so hard hitting. Love this!!!

Isn't it great to have so many younger female Blues singers and Guitarists - Larkin Poe, Samantha Fish, Danielle Nicole, Ana Popovic, Sadie Johnson. I;m sure there are many others. Looks healthy for the future.
You're right. Check out Laura Cox and her blues band from France, and Grainne Duffy from Ireland, as well as Texas' own Ally Venable.
Don't forget Beth Hart while you're looking for female blues singers. Check out Bonamassa and Hart in Amsterdam doing "I'd Rather be Blind"

The women that you mention are merely showbusiness products. The Lovell sisters are real, authentic musicians. They are poles apart and in different worlds.
I do not agree. Those you mentioned just happened to be playing another genre of music. You never know Perry could play a mean blues guitar when she's not doing her pop thing. I once met a guitarist with a rap band. Man he could play guitar like Vai and Joe Pass. Who would have thought. He was a Berklee grad.

The first time I heard this song was the version by Muddy Waters & I've lost count of how many covers I've listened to over the years. This is the best one yet.
Before I heard this cover I thought Jeff Beck and Imogen Heap had the best, now this is my favorite.

Saw them live in Sydney last night. Great band . Interact with audience. Great exponents of blues - and they've got their own sound.

@@stephenstark6239 Stephen - They played at the Oxford Art Factory in Oxford St. basic venue - about 500 people . Stage, small raised area and a bar. Acoustics are very good. I couldn't get to Byron Bay for Bluesfest. This was second best. Wanted to see Samantha Fish but she didn't play anywhere else. Think she had a full European and US tour.
