Auto transmission service on the W8 Passat

4x drain and fill with Valvoline Max Life ATF and ZF service kit (filter, pan gasket, drain + fill plugs) for the ZF 5spd in the W8 Passat wagon. Harsh shifting and torque converter lock up are sorted...amazing results! Also a v. messy job! Used almost 4 gal of ATF. Had the fluid changed (drain and fill with filter etc.) 3 years ago (17K miles) when I got the car but the fluid was brown/nasty this time.
