At 47 (in November 2022), I'm living my best life, married for 17 years with 2 children, and still getting hit on by younger men (and some ladies 🙈) who think I'm fire 🔥 Age is a state of mind and I'm going to live to 100+ Please come visit South Africa soon 🇿🇦 I also use the Cantu products for me and my daughter, they are amazing 👌🏿. Eye drops, I use every morning. Tooth whitening tooth paste is a must. For skin, products with Vitamin C for glow, Retinol for wrinkles, Hyaluronic acid for plumpness and a good Collagen supplement daily for skin, muscle and bone health. Most of all, laugh all the time and don't take yourself too seriously
I'm 57, been on my own for ten years. My hair all fell out during all the divorce dramas. The experience left me traumatised and my hair has never grown back! What you have said is so on point. I'm not overweight (I don't over eat) but my tone is not the same... I had a hysterectomy aged 37 so menopause followed soon after. Those power surges are horrendous. My motto this year is 'To improve is to change.' I've sold my house and moving to a totally new are where I don't know anyone in a few weeks! Going to be interesting. Hot flashes were worse for me in my 50's. I started menopause at 51. I could not lose weight no matter what I did. However, at 65, I have control over my weight again. Because I always took care of myself, exercise, weight control, I don't look my age. I met a Nigerian guy in his 30's a year ago and he is fabulous.
I wish I could get a therapist like Fumi!!! She oozes with so much wisdom 🙌

We women should LOVE OURSELVES no matter how old we are There’s nothing more beautiful than seeing an elegant, well dressed black woman. Fumi....from the bottom of my little heart, I want to thank you sincerely for keeping it REAL. I am a health care professional and it pains me to the core of my spirit, seeing women , younger and younger who are OBESE. When I bring up the conversation about losing weight, I literally hear from women.... "but I'm not losing my curves", "going to the gym is a cheap way of getting a BBL", and I can continue with the madness but I won't. Not only are these young women obese but they are diabetics in their 20s, have hypertension in their 20s, diseases that are directly tied to the weight. I won't even discuss the effects of obesity on one's fertility and pregnancy. We as Black women, need to continue to have these real conversations about our health in the spirit of LOVE and without JUDGEMENT. Thank you once again, Fumi and much love to Christina. You are doing God's work.

Thank you ladies for speaking on the “curvy girls” thing. HEALTH! We cannot go on carrying pounds that should NOT be there for politeness sake. My partner had the wake-up call of a heart attack. He thought he could carry on through 50s eating and doing as he pleased and carrying weight on his belly… his heart said NO! We are lucky, he’s still here but ladies.., listen. Get your health in check. It’s not about shape it’s about size. Lose the salt, trans fats and sugar. We have moved onto a plant based diet and it’s not as dry and boring as you think. Such a clean way to eat and do many foods to enjoy. And the girls are right, WALK!! Love you two beautiful women. ❤️❤️
This was a fabulous episode! I decided to leave an abusive marriage as I was transitioning into my fifties and as you said for me I wanted more out of life I wanted to be happy and I refused to believe that it was over at 50! I have been on a fabulous journey learning about myself finally taking care of myself instead of being a people pleaser. Please keep this going. I am 59 this past June, people tell me I look like I am in my thirties. I am planning a big bash for my 60th next year. Thank you for me, thank you so very much!

I covered for about 20 years, then decided to free myself of that, and it is simply gorgeous. I have always been very active and am finding a problem at this point with weight. You girls look fabulous. This episode was so needed. I’ve been going through menopause for the past 20 plus years. A doctor did a procedure that he shouldn’t have, and I’ve been going through it all these years. I have no metabolism anymore, can’t sleep at night, and have gained 70 pounds over the years. I have no energy and is always exhausted, and have strong cravings. What can I do to get through this, because I’ve tried different medical things that didn’t work, and now I’ve been taken herbal supplements that helps with the hot flashes, but it don’t address the other problems. I will talk to you another time about dating when you’re an older woman. My husband been deceased for many years, and I’ve been alone for many years. Please keep doing these episodes with Christina. I'm 55 and had my first grey hair when I was 16. I stopped colouring my hair almost 3 years looking forward to a full thick head of salt and pepper. I'm planning to grow old disgracefully, listening to afrobeats, drill and rap music with my nephews and nieces. I can say and wear what I want never wanting to look like anyone else. Be happy and content with what you have and remember no one else will make you happy. Fumi your laugh is as dirty as mine, I love it. Continue being your fab self.

This was an excellent topic, so happy to see Aunty Christina!!! I know that we are all trying to hold it together during this pandemic and the state of the world but ladies we have to take care of ourselves. I agree with you about walking I don't own a car and I would walk everywhere or take public transportation and for the past two-plus years my body was not been the same after working from home.
