If only I had seen this before this weekend, I would have saved my brand new eFlite A-10 Thunderbolt II BNF. Thanks for sharing.

I have had the same problem in all the planes, I have solved it by installing a gyro reflex v2. or replacing the rx with a Lemon Stabilized Receiver DSM. It works like a charm.

Well done. Simple easy to follow instructions.

I would recommend this video to all pilots that use a Spektrum gyro receiver. Thank you.

Well, it's at least twice as long as it should have been. The manual for the Hobby Eagle A3 Mini gyro has much better images of what to look for than the Spektrum manuals.

Hello Great video and thanks for your post about myASW 28.....Best Regards Steve

Thanks, Steve. I've never gotten into the setup of a sailplane. I'll create a test model and poke around in it to see how the transmitter flight modes work. BTW, I'm not a proponent of flaperons. Drooping the ailerons can cause adverse yaw and tip stalls. Spoilerons and crow are much better ways to control lift and drag.

Thanks for the video. Is there any way to reset the as3x receiver which I recovered from a crash, to use it in a new model. Thx

I reprogram AR636’s and the newer Smart receivers all the time. I have other videos about doing that.

Thanks for the video. It was very helpful. I have a couple if Bind and Fly planes with AR636A and AR637TA receivers in them. So does the Radiomaster TX16S II work well with these? I would like to upgrade my radio but I don't want to pay nearly $600 for a Spektrum NX10.
As a side note, I was at the park the other day and met a gentleman and his son who were new to flying and he said the TX16S was easy to learn and they had never owned a radio before getting it. So I guess it is fairly simple...

The original TX16S came with OpenTX. I'd say that most TX16S owners have upgraded to EdgeTX. Neither one is easy to set up. I learned most of what I know about them from the "RC Video Reviews" UA-cam channel. No radio is easier to set up than a Spektrum. I recommend that you find a lightly used Spektrum DX9. I've seen some sell for about $250 lately. The DX9 is probably the best transmitter that Spektrum has ever made. I think you'll be much happier with it than a TX16S. I have both and I only use the TX16S to fly cheap FrSky-compatible receivers in FPV aircraft.

@@txkflier Thanks so much!!! Yeah, I saw a DX9 locally for around $250 and was interested in it, but it is so hard for me to understand the different "generations" of Spektrum transmitters that I wasn't sure if it would allow me to do forward programming or not (or some of the "new" features that the NX-series has). I will definitely look for a DX9 though. Thanks again.

@@marin_real_estate_photography They made the DX9 in silver and black. Internally, they’re the same. They’re both what would be called “Gen 2” in the other Spektrum transmitters.

Hey man, I have an AR637T and still struggle with all these AS3X and SAFE settings. Especially the Relearn Servo settings option is not clear for me. What do I need it for? Nevertheless your clip is well done! Thanks a lot.

You must run the "Relearn Servo Settings" routine after you edit the subtrims, servo travel, or reverse the direction of any channels. You can run it as many times as you like. Just be sure to check the control surface movements with the sticks and also check the direction of the gyro corrections using the 45° tilt test, preferably in SAFE mode if you have it enabled in a flight mode.
