I was sweating when she handled the lens, hoping she wouldn’t touch the sensor or glass, but turned out to be nothing to worry about and she nailed the whole setup.
Love everything about this video but the two things I'm impressed with are: her ability to put together a camera with no experience, and her matching eye shadow and shirt!
I must say, her deduction "intelligence" about what goes where is amazing. I know a ton of people who wouldn't even know where to put a shutter release button when there's only one OBVIOUS VISIBLE thread it can go in 😂 + She seems so relaxed. Now we need to see her using the aperture rails 😆
I don’t know you guys but i hope you put a ring on it! She’s a keeper. You should include her more in your content. Great chemistry and all great video lads!
Fun video, your wife is a good sport and did an excellent job of putting your rig back together. But she did that terrifying thing that non photographers do when handling camera gear, they handle it like it’s a delicate piece of fine antique china, instead of taking a good grip on it. It freaks me out when I’m on a job and just need someone to hold my camera or other piece of gear for a minute and they hold it like that.
Love the video very much but "Alvins Cables" are not good SDI Cables. No hate, i bought them for a long time until i realised that they are close to the worst choice of SDI cables. Good SDI Cables are not to be bought on Amazon lets say. But besides that i laughed a lot about how crazy expensive this filmworld is and how stupid it feels to people that are not in it. Sadly my girlfriend is also a DP so i cant do a video like this with her. Maybe a family member. Keep up the good work man! And btw, really nice Setup!
I gotta say I'm impressed by her ability to build the camera without any prior experience lol

I showed her this and it made her very happy. She loves matching her eye shadow to her outfit.
She is so calm even when you say 6500 😂
If my wife knew how much my computer or photography gear costs I'm pretty sure I end up in several freezers 😂

Had to say she's too good at it without any experience.
2:01 My immediate reaction was to jump and grab the camera lol😅 The trauma haunts me

my heart sank when the rig tilted after she put on the lens,,,lol
Haha, this was fun to watch. Great job. And great job to your wife! She did exceptionally well I thought.
My problem is the wife sees everything I buy and how much it cost me! She would nail me on every single one!
Running downstairs to ask my wife to build my rig lol!!!
Do it!!!!!! I’d watch the heck out of it.
She did a great job of building it 💪🏿🔥🔥🔥
It takes a lot of trust to let someone not in this field build your camera xD

Great video! What gear did you use to light it?
Nanlite 200 with a 48in soft box and a kicker light.
This was cool to watch. Nice one.
My wife flat out does NOT want to know how much our gear cost.... TBH I like this arrangement!
Amber did so good!!

Interesting. I've used Alvins for years and don't think I've ever had an issue with one. Will keep that in mind though. Thanks for watching!
Your wife could advertise for small rig!
😂❤
Wait until she realizes she could have a much nicer car.
