Unfortunately, Microsoft changes the ribbon every time they update the program. So the version that YOU are demonstrating doesn't seem to work in newer (or older) versions. Would be very helpful if you mentioned what version of Word you're using before you get started. And what platform (Windows? Mac?)
Eureka! I have finally found out how to update my page numbers to reflect how many pages are within the document it has only taken me about 15 years to find this out. Kevin you are my saviour. Thank you so much.
I knew almost all of these, but I never would've thought of using a bookmark to get the page number of the end of the document regardless of sections (this would also allow you to put an index or appendix after the last counted page). Glad I watched to the end.
It was super helpful. The video quality and the explanation were also professional, not like one of those videos with the lawn mower going in the background.
I don’t understand why I don’t have all those options on word. I use my word account through my university and I don’t know how to format my paper correctly because I’m missing all those options that you showed here

Where do you find format page numbers in word 365? In the page number drop down, there is everything except for format page numbers. double clicking the header does not have it either.
If you havexa special first page that you numbers 0, then the number of pages field will count that as well, so the last page will be page 23 of 24. This can be solved by changing til field code behind til number.
Hi Kevin. My Word (v16.77.1) doesn't have the same menu dropdown from the "Insert" ribbon icon that yours does. My only options are "Page Numbers", "Format Page Numbers" and "Remove Page Numbers" - although the latter one is grayed-out for some reason. The document insists on making every page "1" with whatever I do with the limited tabs I have. Any thoughts on this? I've even removed the footer and tried to start again, but nothing changes from what I mention above. It's very frustrating! Thanks for any thoughts you have on this.

How do I add a word before each page number, like My Document 1; My Document 2; My Document 3? The answer is you can highlight the header on Page 1 (if the existing page numbers are in the header). Then you type the text you want next to the existing page number. That text is reproduced in every header in the document next to the page numbers.

Sily observation: I've always wondered why most videos from UK look like this poarticularly video : a bit cloudy/hazy but in a good way, and the sharpness of the image and movement is not as to solid compared to most videos from other parts of the world. Im not good in verbalizing my thoughts, but watch any videos from Tasty or Buzzfeed and then compare it to any videos of Buzzfeed UK. Another example, Look for any videos of Tom in Buzzfeed OZ and watch one video of him appearing in Buzzfeed UK the video quality is totally different brightness, sharpness of image). I hope I am making sense😆😁

You have to sign in to your school email IN the word document app in laptop
