Here in Finland we have same kind of cases - two academics lost their emeritus merits and one got fired. Two of them attended some academic meeting in Russia and one talked something wrong ?! about Russia.

Just very, very disappointing. 🍉💔 Especially after the Islamophobic media propaganda in Amsterdam exposed & even the mayor of Amsterdam backpeddled. They're turning a blind eye on everything-Apartheid, genocide, prejudice-it feels more like conservative media than a newsletter coming out of a critical-thinking academic institution. And now I'm questioning everything I studied/experienced there & everything I was guided to do there too-I feel betrayed and brainwashed in the worst possible way as somebody from a former colony.
