I can't wait to get this plane and with the upgraded retracts!
Should have put the better gear in from the start and just pay a little more from the manufacturer. Just an idea!
Have read reports in HobbySquawk the strut bolts tend to bend and get sloppy. Many still recommend stick w the chicken wires. Just painted them black and forget about them.
Mike .....your" simply the best "even on something as easy as this ....thanks .......changed my freewing hawk retracts only £35 .
Good job. Enjoy watching all your videos :)
It's a nice jet but it could be better! Just make the better (shock-absorbing) LG standard from the get-go. No one wants to throw away the $16 they spent on the stock wire LG when that $16 could have gone towards the $48 ($43 + $5 shipping) of the upgraded LG! Time for a V2 guys, with the upgrade as standard stock issue - and maybe a new livery. The same goes for the F-16. Stop the upgrade train when you know we will pay extra upfront, but not in the aftermarket.
I would suggest a "de luxe version" with LG upgrades installed. Not all of us are willing to pay a lot of money, so a budget offer for those guys is appreciated.
I agree. Standard model and upgrade model.
Why aren't these in the parts inventory anymore?
They are, will be back in stock as soon as the container arrives
Awesome!
Why cant you guys have them already on the jet pay a little
Is it possible to remove the 3mm pin from the strut and bore the strut to fit a 4mm leg?
I wonder if these could work on the Lippisch P.15? any ideas.....
if an F16 70mm have retrack like that will be awsome
👍👍
"These are leading link struts"
No, they fortunately are not. They are trailing links - regardless of the fact that the suspension is done by a spring in front of the strut.
What determines trailing vs. leading is the wheel axle position relative to the vertical strut section / mounting point.
Don't forget the loctite
For those that don't want to rip apart your new jet...you don't have to. Just remove the turning servo horn, make sure u mark it or don't power up ur trun servo and then install!!
One additional screw and you save ripping ur panel off, reglueing; & glue that always gets on other things, prevents damage to thin plastic, why would u do any other way?
Tired of these companies producing just ok products. Landing gear need to be robust not just ok. People will pay a little more quality.
Dan Deweese they do that to keep the cost down for most of us poor people. Otherwise $300 for a 70mm wont look very attractive to most. ✌
Nothing different from all other rc companies with their PNF, ARF, RTR, bla bla bla.... if you want perfect just get yourself a 3D machine and build it yourself. I have flown mine w the chicken legs and works perfect, and its an option to upgrade. The nature of tinkering on this hobby, if you are measuring every penny lost, sorry to say buddy, time to move to other things.
I wiil get the FMS that already comes with upgraded landing gear.
Good luck with that.
£100 more for a FMS Hawk 15 mm shorter mmmmmmm ,same speed ,sport pilot ugh....,don't think so (:
When 1 of the FMS LGs is broken, you'll have to buy a pair of them. FMS doesn't sell left or right LG, only pairs at twice the price. And if they rotate, you won't be able to use the other one as a spare.
First! xD
