This was my favorite Jet in 2019 and it is still at the top of my list.....and that is with the inrunner and chicken wire landing gear! The lights certainly add to an already epic airframe too!
I still have my stock 70mm FreewingT-1 Hawk, it was my first 70mm stepping up from 64mm’s, it’s almost 3 years old with 150 flights on it and still rocks, great Demo James B 👊👊✈️
Great to see this version now available, when I bought mine a couple of years ago it was not, so I bought the ARF plus version and added the fms 70mm 6s inrunner which I have upgraded recently with the FMS pro inrunner, which I get 4 mins on 3300mah 35c on mixed flying. The inrunner does make a difference and if it had been available from Freewing at the time I would have gone for this new version without hesitation. Just goes to show how far things can progress in a relatively short time when a company listens to the customers.
BD Tennessee A few warbirds 1200mm size, P-51, Corsair, 1450mm Spitfire, 1500mm P-38, 1100mm T-28, and your usual High wing trainers J3 Cubs, Carbon Cub stuff like that. You don’t need all those lol, I got bit by the warbird bug for a while!! This plane flies amazing, wings make for a great trainer, it slows down really good flaps or no flaps, it’s just an all around great plane!! Make sure you the landing upgrade it really helps with those greasers!!! If you get the HP version it comes with it!! 👍🏼👍🏼
@@ljhobbylife Thats good info. I was looking at the viper jet. However watching videos of this plane at lower throttles it looks almost as tame and predictable.James is flying around half throttle just cruising Hawk still performs and handles well. However like he said when you open up the throttle does move out quicker and more top speed when you call on it. 50 dollar difference more than Viper Jet but seems you get much more plane. What size battery you running? I see in description says 4000-5000 (5000 not too big)?
BD Tennessee I’ve ran both 4000mah and 5000mah no problem, it flies better on the 4000mah! As far as both planes, I give the edge to this one due to the gear and larger battery bay! The Viper tends to bounce due to the Wore gear, but it is a good flying model! If it was me Bae Hawk all the way!! 👍🏼👍🏼
Nice demo James, haven't seen a bad flying T1,and this flies great, plenty of power and slow flight really good too.Tkink I recognized the old gray headed gent to your left, better watch the company you keep, lol!Cheers to you and Dave!
You know this is one that I havent given a second look. Thanks for the video. I will definitely put it on the short list. I have an L39 to get started on this month.😉
For me, this is the most scale looking 70mm on the market. I love mine, and the finish is excellent. Doesn't look like foam with all the red paint. The lights are the icing on the cake
My Freewing 70mm BAE Hawk T1 is almost two years old and still flies great. However, the windings failed on the original 2300Kv motor a couple of months ago and a bearing has already failed on the replacement I ordered. I’m now flying it with an AL37 fan unit and a 3300-6S battery. Being lighter, it still goes pretty good..
I'm building up to this plane. Have it ready to fly but only been flying a few months. Started with a trainer plane and just recently moved to the EDF Arrows Viper.
I had the arrows viper good EDF in the air, shame it's a throwaway model, the fan broke,In mine its impossible to remove without destroying the airframe same with the elevator servo it's a poor design
Great flight, I like this jet but skipped it because the FMS version came out around the same time and it was bigger and the landing gears where better with gear doors. It’s nice to see y’all have the upgraded landing gears making them standard now but still, it’s the little things that make the FMS version better. However, I like how Motion listens to feedback to improve their products. This is what separates a good company from a great one.
Motion RC I can’t speak for the Avanti but I’ve heard good things about it. T-33 is awesome, love the scale features and the L-39 is bad ass. Was not a fan of it (L-39) but I tried it and I’m a believer. One of my favorite planes to fly. As for the T1, I can respect it not having the features to keep the price down and it looks like a great flier too.
@@mrt1035 Hawks are just great trainer aircraft regardless model or full scale, if a real-life pilot can learn with one, then its perfect for an RC pilot as well
Ordered this after watching this video James! It will be here in just a few days and I can't wait to get my hands on it! This is my first Motion RC plane. I've been flying Horizon Hobby eflite's for the most part. I REALLY wanted to get the A-4 E/F 80 mm Skyhawk in PNP but it's been out of stock for a while now. Is there any chance it will be available in PNP again? Thanks for great videos!
Hope you enjoy it! Just remember you dont have AS3X in this jet (not that it is needed) but its a good jet to take the training wheels off on. Get used to this one and by the time you are ready I am sure the A-4 will be back in stock
@@MotionRC i have seen the red arrows countless times in person and they are amazing which makes me wany to get this jet what is the average top speed of this and the f16 at 100%?

Would you recommend stepping up from Warbirds to this?
Good looking little jet ! Very good to see !
Awesome landing 😜👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks a lot!
Really love your reviews James 😁
Especially the timer in the corner, very good .
The little things 👌thanks again James.😎

Its a little bullet. Fun to fly
I have the 64mm high performance 4s F22 and f18. I chose the hawk for the step up to 70mm jets and was blown away by the difference in power.
It really is a sick jet very stable and easy
Great choice to start growing

Fair enough! But no 70mm can compare in detail to a larger 80mm. The FMS Hawk rivals our L-39, T-33, Avanti etc. All great fliers though

I‘ve tested it and it flies amazing

Do you recomend F22 90mm 6s as a first edf?
It definitely has trainer like characteristics, but its a bigger asking price if you are unsure of your piloting skills
Which is brand of EDF you use in your jets
Freewing. These are the stock power systems
I would love to buy this asap but europe is out of stock and winter is coming.
They will return ASAP
little bounce ?? it was a high jump world record.
It was the "crosswind" lol
Look at my last upload for this jet in the nearly dark for a much bigger bounce. This jet is great!

Rather I edit it out? Not every landing is perfect by anyone because we are not a perfect species....clearly
