If only the Rangers had a decent petrol engine option across the entire range. All the XR8 and SS crew would line up for these if they had the Coyote V8 available. I know I would. A Wildtrak with Mustang power? Yes please.

Oh I think that will now fall to the new VW Amarok turbo petrol in terms of available stock, having driven a US spec Ranger I can tell you that the 2.3L turbo petrol i4 hammers eve with the awful 10-speed auto which likes to change gears way to many times if left to its own devices, best option is to drive it in sport mode and then control the gears via the gear lever switches (which I know is a pain in the backside) which gets you the best from the transmission as you can leave it in 5th/6th gear all day long and still get decent fuel economy / performance from it.

@@davidgriggs3967 that’s your own fault for spending 10k on a 40-50k truck. The warranty will probably be void anyway after changing factory parts. @@davidgriggs3967 😂😂😂i’ve had more power from a ride on mower. Toyotas no doubt we’re good 2 or 3 models ago but they lack in quality and appearance . Still sounds like driving a tractor while having the interior feel like a kids toy. They are not superior off-road to anything else out the box and handle like a bowl of soup. I genuinely did like the thought of owning a Toyota but they are miles behind competitors in almost every way.
