Emil Werstler is an American Guitarist and musician based in Nashville, Tennessee who is perhaps best known for his work with metal and gypsy jazz and as the lead guitarist for the metal bands Dååth , and Chimaira.
In this clinic, Emil covers a wide range, from simple tips and techniques to deep music theory and demonstrates how these can be applied in both metal and gypsy jazz - two seemingly very different genres.

I discovered Emil very early into my guitar playing journey, probably 14 or so years ago now, he made me realise how important chord/scale theory is in music, the knowledge he has on chord phrasing blew my mind and still does now. His comments on why Hotel California has the best solo is because of what's going on behind the solo is absolutely correct, that solo wouldn't sound nearly as memorable if that F# just followed the key instead of being modulated from Minor to Major. Emil is such an underrated musician and I wish more people knew about him!
