I might be wrong, but im pretty sure that some people at Fromsoft stated that they actually played the seamless coop mod and enjoyed the game a lot more that way. After a while i was wondering if they would ever try to implement that into a game, and considering Nightreign is a thing, what i heard might have been true.

The guy who directed this game is the one who made ds1's level design and made ds3, bb and sekiro's combat systems. He's a FS vet. This game is in good hands. Miyazaki also talked about wanting others to start directing games at the studio so this is what that is.
No doubt someone at the studio pitched a crackhead idea that sounded cool and Miyazaki was like “are you crazy or stupid? I’m in!” I legit can’t wait to see this game come out.

They didn't do a great job explaining what this was at the show. It's a 3 player crossover co-op rougelite, taking place in a non-canon alternate universe. You pick between 8 different classes. Each session has a map with randomly generated items, weapons, enemies, challenges, etc. The map area shrinks as time goes on, until you eventually fight a final boss at the end of a run. It is the idea of a long-time soulslike developer (since ds1), first time director, with the approval of Miyazaki.

And he isn't essentially iffy about the co-op part probably, but the roguelike part.

What? It's a 3-player rogue-lite with three day cycles. The only connection to monster hunter so far seems to be monsters, weapons, and multiple players, which are weak connections. well, fromsoft games in general are no strangers at all to utilizing/traversing different dimensions, and ranni is pretty fking powerful in the lore so if its standalone but based IN elden ring it could be something created by ranni. we really wont know the lore implications until we actually get our own hands on it. i highly doubt fromsoft would actually tell people WHY the bosses from their other IPs are in elden ring, and leave it as always, up to the players to interpret or discover the lore of the game.

This looks insane! The movement seems straight up taken from Sekiro as well as the grappling hook and the parry mechanic. Wouldn't be surprised if the regain mechanic from Bloodborne shows its face. Weirdly enough, this is reminding me of that multiplayer Castlevania game, Harmony of Dissonance. It seems like it might have a similar structure, where you choose a map and then load in with your party, with the goal of making it through the level and beating the boss.

What I am thinking this is a tower climb multiplayer game, where a team of you or some friends fight through areas and zones of elden ring and others* to reach the top with legacy dungeons like areas showing as the place to fight the area bosses to move up in the story.

I don't want to admit it, but it really looks like Elden Ring Battle Royal. Those flames are their version of enclosing border ring which is staple in any battle royal game these days (PUBG, Apex, etc).

yeah, there was uhh, centipede demon from DS1, the cerberus boss from the chalice dungeons AND the stake driver from bloodborne (its not completely forgotten, people are gonna go into complete copium overdose over the idea of them using bloodborne assets again) nameless king from ds3, the end of the trailer straight up looked like the ending area of ds1, the uhh..kiln of the first flame?

Elden Ring Battle Royale before GTA 6 is crazy
What I am thinking this is a tower climb multiplayer game, where a team of you or some friends fight through areas and zones of elden ring and others* to reach the top with legacy dungeons like areas showing as the place to fight the area bosses to move up in the story.
Elden ring is the new GTA V, they are going to milk the cow till 2056

Im so excited about this, the moment I saw firekeeper in the hood, Im like "bro are we having like a crossover between elden ring and DS3 ??". But Im also kinda worried that if this is a co-op focused game, does that mean RIP and not fun to play as a solo souls game player like me? If thats the case it would be so disappointing to me and many people too. But I really hope its not like that (fingers cross).
I don't want to admit it, but it really looks like Elden Ring Battle Royal. Those flames are their version of enclosing border ring which is staple in any battle royal game these days (PUBG, Apex, etc).
