My wife has saved onion seeds. Before she got to plant them volunteers from the ones she missed came up . . . all over the yard, She laughed because it meant the seeds were good
I had strangely good luck growing green onions from commercial seed tape last year. If I actually get serious about gardening this year I'll give this a whirl, though. Thanks as always for the great tips!
I have heard good things about seed tape, really takes spacing out of the equation...for sure I plant too many plants too close together. Glad you got some good green onions...they may have turned into full sized onions if you were able to leave some...you must have good soil

Yeah this is one thing I'm not ashamed to admit I'm not good at. I'm much better at starts. The only time seed has worked for me has been by accident
onions can be tricky...at least you know the starts will work!

@@OldSchoolPrepper The raised beds are full of good soil because our ground soil is so thick with clay 🤣
