I’m so thankful for this video. I purchased a comfee washer and needed a longer hose. I called customer service they were no help. But I watched your video and it was step-by-step thank goodness the comfee is made the same way as the RCA.

Very good review! Thank you for sharing your D.I.Y. project on the drain hose. But may I ask why you didn't buy a rubber hose? Those plastic ones are so flimsy.

I was literally typing a message asking if you had experience or a background in this type of work and repairs when said you didn’t and just figured it out. I currently have the back panel off of my Zeny fully automatic washing machine because I have a leak. Everything still operates correctly and tomorrow I am probably going to run it to see if I can identify exactly where and what is leaking. I have a sneaking suspicion there is a crack or tear in the black tubing that runs from the drum to the water pump where the drain tube connects which does look like it could be replaced but I have zero experience repairing appliances. I was hoping you might know more about this and be able give me some insight. Btw it was helpful seeing how you replaced the hose and makes me feel a little more confident to start taking my washing machine apart.
Hey Friend 👋, by back panel I'm assuming you mean the bottom like underneath the washer? Did you lay the washer down to take off the bottom if so when you did did water pour out? Also when you layed it down or on its side did you adjust the hose and make sure it was secure? Also on your black drain pumps there are screws you can make sure those are secure and not loose. If you laid the washer down after it leaked be mindful that once you lift it up the excess water that was trapped in the bottom of the washer before you layer it down will then come out once you stand it back up so don't confuse that water with leaking water. I usually respond quickly so after testing tomorrow let me know if it works I did change my drain hose and it was super easy if I could do it you definitely can
@@BlessingsForTheBards I just saw that you responded. I actually do mean the back panel. I have a "ZenStyle Fully Automatic Washing Machine" which is exactly the same as the the following models: Giantex EP23113, the Cost way 24640US-CYPE, the Casart 24403-EP, the Panda PAN6320W, and the Panda 356hb (someone clearly mass produces these and then each company stamps their name on and sells thsm). But it actually has a back panel that can be removed so you can see inside (which was extremely helpful). I just ran a small test load and was able to locate the leak. The tub to pump hose has a decent leak in it (that is the black hose that runs from wash bucket to the drain pump). It has a leak in the middle of the hose because there is wiring for the pump that is sitting against it and when the tub is agitating or spinning during the wash and spin dry cycles it rubs against the hose. In theory it should be an easy fix but that assumes I can find a tub to pump hose that fits. I am going to have to take it to home depot or an appliance store that offers repair work and see if they can help me find a replacement. If this was a regular size name brand washer you can just put the model number in and find replacement parts and on these portable washing machines that isn't the case. Wish me luck and thank you again for your video which made me comfortable with the idea of repairing it on my own.

I just purchased a portable washer to replace a regular size. I'm wondering if I will need a longer hose for the drain? Can I just cut and add an extension hose with an adapter?
The drain hose attached to washer isn't strong enough, it's very thin if you gv it a squeeze, you'll see.. it has to be replaced inside at the hard plastic piece. You definitely don't want it to leak.
Hi I changed my drain hose exactly the way you described and I noticed a opening on a clear white hose. I didn think anything of it but on the spin cycle where the water drain in the sink there was a lot of water all over the floor. I thought it was the hose but it's the clear hose that I described in the beginning. It there suppose to be a cap on that hose?

I changed it because it was too short. I didn't wanna have to move my washer back and forth so I got a 12ft hose so that it would be long enough for me to not have to move it
I’m currently trying to figure out how to get mine not to leak even with my clamp on tight it still leaks water where the hose begins wonder do I need to add zip ties
Hi, I would try adding zip ties but if it'd still leaking it may be the hose
When you're talking about the rigid area, do you mean on the pump outlet or on the hose itself? I'm having a hard time slipping hose over that little bump with greater circumference on the drain outlet
Hello, reaching out because I have questions. Hope you don't mind. I just purchased portable washer to replace regular size for my daughter. Will I need a longer drain hose? She is in an apartment. I haven't opened the box yet so? I don't know how long the hose is.

I have a panda washer … I got the same hose and it’s to big, and I’m wondering can I use a rubber hose? Mine came with the original flimsy plastic hose and I can’t seem to find the exact replacement. Does anyone have and suggestions?? Help
The hose i got was bigger than the original hose it came with. Although it was bigger i still zip tied it to keep it in place as i showed in the video and never had any problems . Hope this helps

Getting rubber over hard glue to attach to pump you didn't address that so I will have to get that I off to slide hose completely on pump . what is your suggestion on this
When I removed my hose with the knife in the video it removed the hard glue too because the glue was stuck the the hose. If you'd like to send me a picture via Instagram I will understand better

I just got rid of my 3.0 black and decker portable washer nothing but problem after problem. It does not drain properly.I can spin the same wash twice and still the clothes come out soaking wet the washer is constantly filling with water without completely draining out . I hope you have better luck with yours.It was my second black and decker washer they had replaced the first one with a second piece of junk;! I pray that yours works! Only had it since August 2022 not Evan 5 months old the first one lasted a little over a year with the same problem..

If Curtis International made this machine, pray you don't need to contact them for warranty service. Two have been returned to Walmart. The first machine leaked. The replacement generated a 2H error code that Curtis had no idea about, then 2 weeks later told me I engaged a 2 Hour wash!!!

Yes, I've had mine for almost 3 years and never had one problem. Maybe it is the Curtis company selling bad ones. I'm not sure if mine was sent by walmart or someone else. Maybe try panda or black and decker coffee. I've heard good things about all those brands.
I didn’t do that I had a hose I just adjusted to the water hose that was already on the machine and just have a come it’s got a ring to make it tight and I said I didn’t have to remove anything from the machine

No I removed the hose that came with the machine and replaced it with a new longer hose

Hi, The drain it come with is short. I didn't want to have to keep moving the washer back and forth from the sink to the closet so I got a longer hose so that I can keep it in the same spot and stretch the hose to the sink

Is you machine sitting up high? My machine drains by gravity and the longer hose still has excess water in it when I’m done using it.
No my washer is sitting on the floor. A water hose is suppose to have excess water in it... there's no way to get excess water out of a garden hose or a drain hose unless you completely remove the hose from the machine and pour it out. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching

Wait can I asked why you had to cut the tip of the hose 😭?
The peice that I cut off was too big/wide to fit the drain hose opening.... its also too big/wide to connect to the drain pump so you have to cut it off....
Couldn’t you just clamp the new hose to the old hose and an extension?
I'm not sure. I would assume not only because the hose that came with it was skinner than the new hose I put on so I don't think the new hose would have been secure enough to the old hose . But maybe if you can find one that is the exact same size as the one that comes with it you might be able to

I did an extension of sorts where I stuffed the skinnier hose to the bigger one and it’s not perfect. Definitely shimmied out due to all the spin cycles. This tutorial is most secure.
