    Thanks so much. The drain hose was leaking (and you're right, poorly made hose) and I've spent $ trying to tape the hose to stop leaking. Doesn't work. I think I can do this. PS I'll let you know how it goes. I live in one of those high dollar apartments in Nashville, and a portable washer is a must or I'll be taking it (and me) to the laundromat. This is my 2nd washer like this (in 2 years - they really don't last). I thought I couldn't take 'em apart and fix, and well. Know -- I think I can. And, really, every time I use this machine (1X a week) I can bank on spilling water. Every single time! If I don't have Alexa remind me to turn off and on, chances are I'm flooding the kitchen. (Uh yeah. I've done that a couple of times.) I'm going to work on it this weekend and let you know how the hose replacement goes. Thanks for posting! Very informative and clear. Thanks.

      I'm glad you found it useful, thanks for taking the time to let me know. I also have to set "washer timer" on Alexa to remind me lol. You should tackle the replacement, it's really easy. Please let me know how it turns out.

      @@warehouseliving I still haven't done it! Argh! The thought of turning this machine over (not to mention that may be a struggle) to all the water in my kitchen (apartment) floor is not making it to my list today. I just keep taping that hose up (I even "painted" super glue on it). Maybe this week, I'll do it.

    • @warehouseliving
      @warehouseliving  2 роки тому +5

      @@sscoby684 Remember I said over and over it was way easier than I expected? It is! I felt the same way before I actually did it. The washer is is really not heavy, not a big problem turning it over. 1. Lay some towels on the floor 2. Tip the washer over, let it lay on its side for a while. 3. Take a break, go grab a coffee, glass of wine or something stronger 4. Lift the base to set it on its head 5. Open the back panel. 6. Repeat step 3☝🏾
      7. Unscrew the pump, remove the old hose and attach the new one. 8. Repeat step 3 ☝🏾 9. Close the back panel, right the washer 10. Pat yourself on the back. 11. Repeat step 3 😁

    Mine is leaking as well after only a few months of use..
    I don't have this exact machine ... i have a zokop twin tub also with an electric drain pump(which doesn't really work the greatest it won't pump up say over a bathtub or sink.. it drains about half way and stops.. i had to raise the machine so the hose is lower than the machine.. basically gravity fed draining) i suspecting the drain hose is now leaking as well.. but i haven't looked into it yet.. I'm going to check it out in a few days with a friend..
    But this is a very very useful knowledge full video..
    Thank you..

    Hi, I know this video is from a year ago, but my best friend has this exact model you have, I replaced the hose with the Universal Washing Machine Drain Hose with Clamp from amazon, it worked well but its a bit snug and leaks. I tried using the water resistant silicone and it doesn't stop the leaking. What would you recommend because the clamps don't help and neither does the silicone. =/

    Thanks for the video. I have a different model but the steps were the same. I bought my machine used for $15 and the drain hose was cracked and leaked. For what I paid I didnt mind having to fix it. I bought the "Universal Corrugated Dishwasher Drain Hose Kit" from Home Depot. It has multi size adapters on each end so I didnt have to worry about buying the right size. The "Corrugated Washing Machine Discharge Hose" wouldve been a better match but my store didnt have it and I didnt want to wait for it to ship. Oh and I didnt bother trying to cut through the glue and peel off the old hose. The access panel on my model is too small to get a good angle with a blade. I just cut the hose off right below the end piece where the glue was. Next Ill replace the inlet hose to something sturdier and longer.

    I was able to replace the drain hose, but now the “wash selector” button does not seem to be working. It was working fine before I opened the machine to replace the hose. Normally, it would at least make a sound as if a motor is running and it’s attempting to pump the water, but I’m hearing nothing. Any ideas?

      I got a "Universal Corrugated Dishwasher Drain Hose Kit" from Home Depot that has an adapter with several sizes on it. It goes from 1 1/8" to 11/16" or 1" to 5/8" depending on which end you use. You start with the biggest size and cut it down until you have the correct size.
