At 5:33, Conrad missed the clock button and lost about 15 seconds before the two players noticed this. It seems that Magnus didn't want his win to be because of this.
Yeah your right I think he was saying sorry I didn’t realise or something
Conrad Holt is too nervous. I can't blame him because he is playing against Magnus. Magnus did nothing wrong either.
@@rrrcubing6990 Correct - at the end of the game, it looks like Magnus said that he didn't realize that the clock punch was missed (which was in his favor). Obviously he wants to win the game because of his own skills, not because of a missed clock punch. It's a matter of sportsmanship.
Might be the reason for Magnus wasting a similar amount of time after the delayed punch.
He's won outright on the board. He said afterwards he didn't notice the clock -- very polite of him.
His opponent seemed nervous, when Magnus talked to him.
Ikr.. Its normal for mortals to feel nervous when god speaks to them
Social anxiety.
classy magnus, apologising when it's not his fault at all
Apologising he didn't see the error.
Boy Magnus’ moves are amazing and really hard to comprehend sometimes. Seemed like his opponent had an edge in the opening, but he came back with some great attacking moves
Why don't you show a little window with the chess board? How are we supposed to follow the game? At 6:59 for instance, it is not quite easy to see the actual position.
They usually do that, but with the sheer number of these games uploaded in a small time frame, I suspect they don’t have the time.
@@KoopaTIf you do something, you should do it good. Otherwise it is better not to do it.
@@jurjenvanderhoek316bro they r doing it better than anyone else.
Says the man in the Chair
@@jurjenvanderhoek316If you don't like the way its being done, then maybe you should do it yourself
Conrad shaking
magnus won ?
😅😮
Poor boy his hand was shaking throughout the game.. but he has performed exceptionally across rapid and blitz
He's pretty good at Tennis 🎾 in the USA
Magnus understands the pressure the young players have when playing against him and hence the kind words at the end. True GOAT
bruh he is 30 yo
He apologized for not having seen that his opponent did not press his clock properly at 5:33
"The young players" lol they're pretty much the same age.
The actual reason he apologized is for not noticing that Conrad missed the clock button at 5:34, causing him to lose 15 seconds (and saving Carlsen the same time, so effectively a 30 second loss for Conrad)
Man first time someone of this level surprised Magnus with the opening. He seemed to have been thinking a lot bcoz of the different style good work young man
I thought the same thing it looked like he took Magnus out of his prep and had him reacting during the opening.
There has rarely been a time in history where the classical champion is also the blitz and rapid champion and for so many consecutive years.
Well he is not the classical champion anymore for a while now
Only one cycle and only because he chose to not defend. No one disputes he isn't the best classical player for over a decade now, heck he's had the highest classical rating for about twelve years uninterrupted. @@sarangtamirisa5090
No 1 in the world by rating. Not world champion anymore, since he declined to defend his title. Ding is currently the world champion in classical chess. (Ding that went missing in action after becoming world champion, lol😅) Magnus IS the current world champion in blitz and rapid, though.
That's a design fault with the clock....players cannot be expected to check the clock visually after every move during blitz. The clock should not make the positive thump sound when it hasn't stopped the player's time.
But he touched the clock very much in the middle, instead of on his side a lot of the times, too. I wonder if that could be the reason?
Magnus is classy . It’s wasn’t his fault . If it was Kasparov , he would have pulled Opponent’s hair !!
I do believe the apology is coming from a good place, i have seen and played many over the board games where someone forgets to press the clock, and the other player notices but doesnt say anything (which is legal but i feel is a little bit not cool). Magnus' apology is a way of saying i didnt notice that either otherwise i wouldve said something, wasnt trying to stall.
A beautiful and kind gesture of Magnus to encourage and support his brave and very competent opponent ❤!
He seems so nervous. Maybe he always is, or because he's sitting across from the goat. Still played well tho
Conrad's clock game is the worst I've ever seen. Most of his touches are dangerously close to not being registered.
This platform never has the board up on the screen..it sucks
Shuffle the deck with a standard shuffle (riffle riffle box riffle cut) and the result will be a set-up deck. $20.
The reason why you have to beat up the watch at Blitz
Magnus carlsen again going on his prime version
Magnus Cleaned Conrads Clock ⏰
Was a good battle ♟️
Why aren't sagar applying sargar's chess board for this
THAT is some freaking ASMR, cheers

Opponents name is Conrad Holt, for anyone who's wondering
A friend of mine. He is a tennis player in United States
what is his sickness?
Be nice!
Stupid comment. He is obviously nervous to face the greatest of all time. You don't think that effects people?
