- Carlsen was facing a 2372 rated FM in the 3rd round of World Blitz 2023. The game was crazy because Tsaurk saw an opportunity to sacrifice his rook! And he went for it. A rook sacrifice against the world no.1! How insane is that. Did Magnus survive? We bring you the full footage.

Thank you for the video! Will you be uploading all of Carlsen’s blitz games or just a select few?
6:18 sacrifice
Maxim was too brave to sacrifice a rook. You don't do that with Magnus unless you are 101% sure it is a legitimate sacrifice. Good experience for a young master. This game will be remembered and shown in books on how to count your variations! :-)
His name is Tsaruk( Tsa Rook) what did you expect him to do other than sacrificing the rook XD.
Good point 😁, made me laugh. Thx :)
He sacrificed THE ROOOOOOOK!!!!!
Why am I reading this title in Levy's voice?
And he sacrifices the roooookkkkk!
Same
😂😂
after Qh3+ Kg8 white did not play f6 (with the idea Qh6 and mate in g7) because of Qxd4+ and then Qd2! controlling h6, in fact at the end Magnus point at the d2 square, the computer says is possible also Nxd4 and after Kh1 Qxb2!! because after Qh6 Nf5! Rxf5 loses to Qa1+
Just when you think you've got him, BOOM....brain!
Stockfish thought it was a blunder
tha rook, tha rook, tha rook is on fire! "Ben Finegold"
Rh4 it will be much better not rh7 you just protect the d4 pawn and if knigh take on e5 qe3 of qd2 and is matter of time before you get mate
you should coach the GMs.
@dreamblade9195 be careful with the irony please you are not funny ok
@@ΣκιστειςβάρβαροςαποτηνΣκωτία He is tho
A good attempt. The follow-up had to be f6, with Qh6, Qg7 mate.
1:17 matchs starts few seconds and he alreaady starts nervou drinking lol
Yeah, my man!🔥
Tsaruk had magnus checkmated 😅
Why is there no 2D graph
True its whats really missing from all this over the board coverage. Its like we want to see the game properly please.
He sacrificed the Roooook too early.....He should of build the attack properly with the Queen behind the rook before sacrificing. Nice try kid!!! Magnus handled the situation like a World Champ 👏
Says a noob
You're a patzer, this kid is in the World Blitz Championship tournament and you play local tournaments.
If queen is behind the rook how will there be a sacrifice?
@@luatala8008Do you actually understand what is a Sacrifice!?
@@dennisbadzi1993you don't know what you're talking about
He tried to own Magnus
He tries something
where was the checkmate ? why did he resign ?ç
6:20 rook sac
da ruuukkkh
Why resign ?
can continue to play
Cannot. Magnus just exchange the queen. Finished already the story!
respect
Where's the top down view?
Aprés 1....Dxe7 de Carlsen les Blancs ont raté 2_ Cxd5! Gagnant un pion et prennent un net avantage
Did White missed a free pawn 1.N*d5 when Magnus Took the bishop Qe7 ?
Nxd5 Qd8, equal chances
A funny sacrifice before the king of the world
Why did he play the rook sacrifise if his pawn was hanging
Time…he thought he had time on his side as in his attack cannot be stopped.
pawn to f6 would be game over, no?
no. Qxp check and queen gobbles up all those pawns
Ya, I had the same idea, that the Rookie's sacrificing his rook required the pawn to advance to F7, then the Queen forward to checkmate. But I'm not sure...
But you cannot gobble the last pawn on f6 cause it's protected by the rook
I believe Carlsen points at d2 after the game. In the variation after f6 instead of fxg6 black saves by Qxd4+ Kh1 Qd2 which covers h6.
After ...Kg8, Why not f6???
Exactly. Then the queen comes in.
... Nxd4, Qh6, ... Nf5+ wins White's Q. Kh1, ... Nf5, Rxf5 looks like winning but ... Qxb2 and White's N is lost.
I could be very wrong here but my observation in the game was after f6, theres qxd4+, Kh1 and then Qd2 which covers the h6 square from queen entry (then black queen can just stay on this diagonal and stop the attack). I think this is what Magnus signalled in convo after game at 8:56 and I'm guessing is what white missed. ... again could be wrong tho. Hope this helps :)
And then after qxd4 if Rf2 theres Nxe5 Qh6 Qxf2 Kxf2 Ng4+.
f6 nxd4 qh6 nf5+ also looks plausible, and then if f6 nxd4 Kh1 Qxb2 and Rxf5 is never possible due to back rank
Bro wanted levy to make him a video really bad
Balenciaga should sponsor dubov
Why did he resign? He could not get mated
Im also thinking the same thing ..can somebody explain wat happen in last ? There's no checkmate y they ended the game?
Magnus short's is green 😂😂
Usually girls or shemale's have a distracting focus instead an objective one 😂
Kid--Is he the world champion, better than me?? Let me check. BooM
Didn't white have pawn to F6?
Thats my Doubt😢
F6 nxd4, qh6 nf5 open check
@@akashs163this defense won't work after f6, nxd4 and kh1 no?
Bro thinks he is mikhail tal😅
that disrespect
Good sacrifice.. If only he didnt takes the pawn, it take 3 moves to checkmate .... Magnus is losing there...
Qd4 followed by Qd2 defends all threats
If he doesn’t take and push that pawn checkmate in 2
@@markclear85
No.
f6 Qd4 Kh1 Qd2 => no checkmate
Eguas muleki kskskskksks
eee
Kid was winning.
Nope
Yes I saw it, if only he did not takes the pawn ..
The best move was moving forward the pawn then the queen and lastly checkmate..
3 moves
@@uriahnorieUploads Do you mean pushing the pawn to f6 instead of taking on g6? That doesn't work. Pushing the pawn and then moving the queen to h6 gives Magnus 2 moves while white is setting up the mate to prevent it. With that chance, Magnus can easily stop the mate by bringing either his knight or queen over to protect the key squares. If you check the computer analysis, white is dead lost after the rook sacrifice. There is no mate possible if Magnus plays the correct moves.
I can show u how.. Theres no way Magnus could help the king on rook sacrificial .. Pawn move there is the key
@@uriahnorieUploads I wrote out a comment explaining this and it disappeared as I tried to post it, so here I go again. I’m not sure if it will load later. If it does, I guess there will be two versions of it. I was explaining that if you try to play out the checkmate plan using a computer analysis, you can see why it doesn’t work. Basically this checkmate plan for white goes f6, then Qh6, then Qg7#. But the big problem is that white’s king is on g1 where it can be checked by the black queen. If the king was on h1 before the rook sacrifice, it would be checkmate. But alas it is not. So if white tries to play the 3 move checkmate plan straight up, there’s two lines to stop it. One line goes: f6, Qxd4+, Kh1, Qd2, and Magnus’s queen now protects the h6 square, preventing white’s queen from going forward. And it was able to get there because the first move came with a check. The other line goes: f6, Nxd4, Qh6, Nf5+, Kh1, Nxh6, and Magnus’s knight captures the white queen on h6 because of a discovered check when the knight jumps out of the way of Magnus’s queen after taking the pawn.
he will lose anyway so why not sacrifice and see hahaaa
what a shame to sacrifice against world champoin !! respect carlsen
🔥Not shame, but strong will and Carlsen smiled at the end.
Not strong very weak 800 elo dont do that.
carlsen always smiling! @@filipradosa6062
Only chance to maybe get a win, f6 was better than taking g6
