    [Intro: Duran Duran]
Steppin' out, steppin' out, steppin' out, and jumpin' up and
Steppin' out, steppin' out, steppin' out, and jumpin' up and
Steppin' out, steppin' out, steppin' out, and jumpin' up and
Pressure off, pressure off, pressure pressure pressure off
    [Verse 1: Duran Duran]
    Past is another country
    The present will never last
    The future, it's still tomorrow
    Are we living too fast?
    [Pre-Chorus: Duran Duran]
Searchlight the crowd, I'm fixed on your face
    I know it well, but it's a dream I can't place
    Something is happening to me
Maybe it's happening to you, you, you, you
Everybody everywhere, feel it in the air
Oh yeah, it's time to take the pressure off
Everybody everywhere, step out into the future
It's time to take the pressure off
Oh oh oh oh oh oh
    Oh oh oh oh
    It's up to you now
It's time to take the pressure off
Oh oh oh oh oh oh
    Oh oh oh oh
    It's up to you now
It's time to take the pressure off
    Steppin'
    Steppin'
    Steppin'
It's time to take the pressure off
    Swimming with the rat race
    Or running against the tide
It's everybody's business when there's nowhere to hide
Searchlight the crowd, I'm fixed onto you
There's a way out of this into the blue
    Something is happening to me
Maybe it's happening to you, you, you, you
Everybody everywhere, feel it in the air
Oh yeah (oh yeah), it's time to take the pressure off
Everybody everywhere, step out into the future
It's time to take the pressure off
Oh oh oh oh oh oh
    Oh oh oh oh
    It's up to you now
It's time to take the pressure off
Oh oh oh oh oh oh
    Oh oh oh oh
    It's up to you now
It's time to take the pressure off
Steppin' out, steppin' out, steppin' out, and jumpin' up and
Steppin' out, steppin' out, steppin' out, and jumpin' up and
Steppin' out, steppin' out, steppin' out, and jumpin' up and
Pressure off, pressure off, pressure pressure pressure off
I'm lost, don't wanna be found
I'm up and not gonna be down
    Outside looking in on myself
Just me, I couldn't be anyone else
Is it bad when you're feeling this good?
    Are we all misunderstood?
It's fine, going out of my mind
Going out of my mind, going out of my mind
Everybody everywhere (yeah), feel it in the air (whoo!)
Oh yeah (oh yeah), it's time to take the pressure off
Everybody everywhere, step out into the future
It's time to take the pressure off
Oh oh oh oh oh oh
    Oh oh oh oh
    It's up to you now
It's time to take the pressure off
Oh oh oh oh oh oh
    Oh oh oh oh
    It's up to you now
    Step out into the future
Oh oh oh oh oh oh
    Oh oh oh oh
    Jump up into the future
Oh oh oh oh oh oh
    Oh oh oh oh
    Step out into the future
Oh oh oh oh oh oh
    Oh oh oh oh
    Jump up into the future
Oh oh oh oh oh oh
    Oh oh oh oh
    Step out into the future

Among many other things, one of the hallmarks of why Duran Duran has lasted 40 years plus and even their most banal pop songs composed have stood the
test of time, is this incredible knack for writing killer/incredibly catchy/soaring choruses in all their songs. This is another example..

Seriously. Also, I find it so touching that Nile refers to Dd as his "brothers" and as his "second band" :D
I attended an amazing CHIC concert a ew months back, and Nile greatly impressed me by being the last to leave the stage, signing as many autographs and shaking as many fans' hands as possible = pure class!

It happens a lot with bands that were big a while back. They keep bringing out new music that is still really good, but doesn't get the attention from radio stations. And your average music listener doesn't particularly care about anything that's not played 20 times a day on commercial radio (or these days on the main spotify streams).

@@Buc_Stops_Here I'm glad it got some airplay in USA. I never heard it played on the radio in Australia even though Duran Duran songs were a staple of Australian radio in the 80s. In fact their 80s hits still get a lot of play on radion. Radio stations just don't seem interested in playing anything they released since then.
Most people here probably don't even realise they've release anything since the 80s despite how good their recent albums have been.

What I love is that when people called them an 80s band and used phrases like riding a nostalgia or retro wave, they just kept being hip and making great new music. Now you have a whole new Generation of artists from Justin Timberlake to Snoop Dog who all say they love the band and were influenced by them. What I loved most about this CD aside from the great music was they showed the world that they are still as hip, compelling, and innovative as ever and they remain a very talented group of songmakers who create music that has stood the test of time and has appealed to multiple generations. When you see teens now embracing their music it shows that good music knows no decade or era. They are truly one of the best.

+Stephen Smith Yes and best of all, he must be an abolsute dream to live with. He and his hot wife are still crazy about each other-and you can tell it's not for appearances either. He-unlike most celebs is STILL on his first marriage and it still works and that's down to the two of them. To have Si as your dad too. How cool. Rather have him as my husband though. He can be my bitch and I'll be his. In the nicest possible way. Grroowwlll! +Kyach Distent I've been a Duranie since '82 when I fell in love with them at first sight after seeing the video for Hungry Like the Wolf on MTV. As such, I've gotten used to seeing them slagged by the press. And what is the reason??? It's because their prime audience started as teenaged girls and because of their unapologetic love of style and glamour. The slagging continues into the present day with so called journalists having the gall to refer to them as a "boy band". Seriously...wtf? At any rate, as they say- living well is the best revenge and Duran Duran are doing just that and I love them for it! ❤️❤️❤️

You get the feeling these cocksuckers are so inbred in their misery they couldn't even admit to loving some of what they do if they tried-or they'd keep it secret. Yet look at all the shit around for the past 20 years or more-when does THAT get critcisied?! Pathetic. But good for you and me and all the others that love them. May we all continue.

respect to Duran Duran for still aspiring to make music on a pop level even though they're not having hits anymore. that's love of craft. warms my heart ❤

In all honestly they probably don’t care about them being hits.. I guess they are just having fun and doing what they love, they have a solid base of fans who appreciate the new material

@@Phil_Mycock_69 oh of course they don't care. but this is still a pop song. and Janelle Monae is a timely big name who's very talented, and Duran Duran surely recognized that when electing to collab w her. thats what I mean by "on a pop level".

Do y'all have any idea how much music we've heard in the last 40 years that Niles Rodgers has been a part of? He is one of the most talented performers on Earth.

This song should have been a hit single...I guess radio practices ageism now.

      John Desalvo ..
unfortunately it was never going to be a hit here in Britain
commercial radio will only play the records companies pay them too.
if they were managed or owned by Simon cowell they would of been in top ten for weeks.

Turn your backs on them en masse, they'll be forced to change.
      YOU have the power

Anthony Nichols Same in the States. Had Paper God's and AYNIN been released prior to about 2004 they would have produced many hit singles with massive airplay in the UK, the US and hell - worldwide. Paper God's did chart here in the states on one of the more obscure charts!

The 90's had the most diverse mx of genres ALL charting - from Siouxse And The Banshees to Inner Circle! From Depeche Mode to The Mighty Mighty Bosstones...and everything nbetween. All hat changed after about 2003/4!

FM radio used to be relevant, but now it's all commercials and old songs that have had their airtime still being played, while fresh talent is criminally ignored.
