After doing this video a year ago how do you still feel about that wing? Does it stand the test of time? Do you use it often and enjoy it? Would this make a good second Wing after a spider 3?
I don't have much time on their new stuff. hopefully I can get my hands on some in the future, but I've flown the hadron xx 18, snake xx16 and uni 1.1. I wasnt the most impressed by those, especially on the inflation, and after seeing the warp try to kill my friend. even before working here, I found myself coming back to ozone after flying other brands because their wings are so intuitive to fly. I hope that dudek has gotten their inflation game together and is making good stuff though.
@@JudsonGraham I agree, but their next generation wings, Hadron 3 Solo etc are all completely different. ( not a plug) I did a review of the Hadron 3 on my channel and it just shows the difference between the Hxx and the H3. Just a thought, but keep up the vlogs.
@@GolfFoxtrot22 - I saw your review of Hadron 3, so that's the comparison I was wondering about while watching this Sirocco 3 review. Do you have any thoughts on how they'd compare to each other?
@@manofsan I've not flown the S3 however, looking at Judson's video they made a good intermediate second wing very spicy so moves it up a notch. I've always found Ozone wings to be less roll stable than dudek. If you are looking for a comparison between an intermediate and high end wing like the H3, then I think it only comes down to what you want to use it for. The H3 is best for long xc flying with a low workload, the S3 is more of a general wing with play for the more experienced intermediate pilot.
@@GolfFoxtrot22 - and yet in your H3 video, you showed that even just kiting H3 and keeping it overhead for launch purposes can be a bit tricky. S3 seems the opposite in this regard, partly due to its light weight, and it also seems to provide quick takeoff. Judson's comments on S3's stability in choppy air were the most interesting, as that's helpful for XC too. How does H3 compare in thermal conditions?
14:53 You said you hated the Speedster 3. Couldn't find that video. I was thinking of getting one because I want Sirocco performance but I live in the dessert and want heavier materials for durability. How bad was the Speedster in relation?
I think to be a well rounded wing reviewer, you have to fly and review more than one brand of wing. With just flying and reviewing a wing you sell, there in some bias, and I am sure at this point there is not a kick back feom Ozone, but as you continue this fun journey, you to will eventually sell Ozone. I can assure you there are people out here in your audience that would love to see other brands get your scrutiny, Airdesign, APCO, AXIS, Dudek and yes, even the infamous Dominator. When you only review what ya sell there is an implied bias. You mentioned that you fly the Scout, and that is a brand Aviayor does not sell, well with it attached to the king of paramoyoring, it is just fine dharing hanger space with the brands you do sell. Not knocking you, I would not have subscribed just to do that, but I am lookinh for transparency and I can assure you that alone with skyrocket your subs, as that is whats missing from many paramotor paraphernalia reviews wether on purpose or not. Great video and editing🙏🏻
I would be really interested to hear your comparison between the new nucleon 4 and the sirocco 3. If you can get your hands on a nuc4 Please do an impression’s video and a comparison against the sirocco three. Subbed and rang the bell. Keep putting out the good content!
Don’t do Drugs unless you no what they are 🤣 no but seriously had a question for you. I have ozone Indy and I’ve been flying for a year now! and I fly pretty much every weekend and sometimes during the week after work. I am about 250 ish lbs. would it be a good next wing for me to get?/ would it be my size! If not what would you recommend and what meter size? Would really appreciate the advice.
I've been waiting for the first review on this week ever since first hearing about it a couple of weeks ago. I demoed the Sirocco 2 about 8 months after learning to fly and absolutely loved it, but didn't end up getting one (too $$). Ever since the Speedster 3 was released, I've been waiting for the Sirocco 3. I think it may be time to replace my BGD Luna 2 (but will have to go with a custom color scheme that looks almost as good as the BDG wings).
Judson! I've been hoping for a good Sirocco3 review - and you delivered! I have to say, I'm surprised (and happy) at how you felt it handled, comparing it to a Freeride. I fly the 22 Sirocco2 and love, love it. I'm 113Kg all up, so I'm near the max for that size in that model (115Kg is max). It looks like Ozone kinda rehashed their sizing and weight limitations for the Sirocco3 and it looks like I fall between the 20 and 22m sizes. I think if I were to get one, I'd go with the 20 and just be a little overloaded. All that being said - what was your loading on the 18? If you've flown the Sirocco2, I'm curious as to what you feel the differences are (are they minor, or are they very noticeable)? Finally, I want one!
@@JudsonGraham so I have a 20m Sirocco 3 now. It's full of wow - you weren't kidding! I'm a touch overloaded on this wing, but it lifts better that the 22m Sirocco 2, is way faster and handles like a Ferrari (for me). I love it!
Thanks for the review on this wing. I’d love to get one but I live in AZ and grass LZ’s are hard to come by, so I’m sure it would get torn up pretty quickly. I’ve been looking at the Speedster 3 though as that would work better where I live. I saw some of your comments on why you didn’t like the Speedster 3 when you flew it, but for my weight, I’ll be looking at a 24 meter and will be at the top of the weight range. I currently fly a Roadster 3 26 meter and it just feels huge, although it’s the perfect size for me, so I’m hoping to take a step down in size. Anyway, just curious to know if you have any more thoughts or pointers about the Speedster 3 before I pull the trigger. Thanks! By the way, great videos. Keep them coming!

Would a 175lbs pilot have a great and spicy time on this 18m? Why did you hate the Speedster 3 so much? Was it just the fact you were way too lightly loaded on a 20m?
I can't get myself to like Speedster 3. I find the handling stiff and glider uncomfortable. Maybe it is a matter of taste but I tend to prefer Dudek gliders.
