i still think battlefield one looks and plays better than most recent call of duty games , and that was a last gen game lol
Modern warefare 2016 was pretty good....

I feel like devs got the shooting mechanics down like 25 years ago, all they do now is having better and better graphics and considering the best looking CoD games came out on the ps4 and they haven't gotten any better on ps5, it makes sense for the newer release to be on ps4 too
Played COD Infinite Warfare recently. Honestly the best Sci-Fi Shooter for the Steam Deck. Verified for a Reason fr.
Looks better than Starfield
Less clutter + amazing art direction go a long way, imho.
if these games aren't new gen, they shouldn't be charging 70 dollars. i will be skipping cod until they actually make something cool
Kinda wierd, they say it's a next gen game but release on PS4.
They basically make the game brighter for 10£$¥ more... something you can tweak on PC... for free.
I mean, most of Sony and Microsofts games still release last gen and as do most 3rd party games. A lot of people refuse to upgrade. I guess they are just going to go where the money is.
Okay whatever nobody will miss you anyway one person so I can make a difference in their sales buddy 😂
@@JuicedOnKidsbro sony be selling ps4 games at extra 10 dollars u all didn't complain then did ya
@TyranusRex721 Sony stopped crossgen with Spider-Man 2. They also had PS5 only titles from the beginning of the gen. Demon's Souls remake, Returnal, Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart, I guess Astro's Playroom.
The Last COD I got was Cold War... Still play it till this day, Zombies is OK, Outbreak is Entertaining, Has Native MnK on Console, runs at 120 frames/s... SO if I see the game's good enough, I ain't gon hold back!
Me 2 cold war was the last cod game I bought I really thought of getting MW2 but never got it since I didn’t have money to spend full price even though I I could get it for a decent price discount but I got other things to pay for so i barely got the time to play anyways
@@Spiderman-_-007 I think I'll start getting it on gamepass.... in the future. If it's day and date. I don't think it's worth full price.... but it's usually a fun 7 hours.

If it were a franchise I cared about, I could see being upset. But at this point COD feels less like a game, and more like a branch of the gas and electric company.
Call of duty is no longer a game, it's a logistics software 😂
AC Rogue was actually only on last gen when it released. The ps4/xone version is the remaster from 2018. PC version came out in like 2015/2016 if I remember correctly
Not affording to upgrade 4 years into the current gen is no longer a valid excuse, imo
Inflation is hitting everyone hard. This isn't the 2010s anymore where we were all better off financially
@@alexs_toy_barnthat’s still not an excuse you talk as if these consoles are vehicles and cost 20,000. Saving up for a $399-499 console is not hard, then you have income tax season etc…. That’s not an excuse
@@alexs_toy_barn I'm Romanian so a console here amounts to the monthly minimum wage and I still believe it's no excuse. You're paying up to $70 for a new game (not counting the $100 premium editions), $400 for a console really isn't that crazy. Last gen consoles also give you a limited experience of the game, even if the publisher decides to support it. It's really not worth clinging to the last gen.
An excuse for what? Nobody who doesn't have the newest consoles is complaining and forcing game companies to make their games available to them. You're barking up the wrong tree, if you want to complain to someone complain to the money men who want to have the biggest customer base possible. And honestly, for what this newest gen is offering, spending $500 and then another $200 or so on top for a controller and some games, is pretty much an irresponsible purchase made only for the people who are most addicted to the newest games.
Not everyone has the funds to spend 500+ dollars on a entertainment hobby at once.
The scalpers did not help this generation as well since it was least 2 years of people wanting to sell them for 1k each.
Poor is absolutely a excuse for people but not for companies. They need to start slashing prices. Then again this generation didnt really have much good games worth upgrading anyway.
Fuck man you made me feel old when you said you were 4 years old when 9/11 happened. Because I was 11 and I didn't go to school that day and I just remember waking up just before or right after the first plane hit. Because I had went to go watch MTV and it kept showing this plane hitting a building and I remembered changing the channel and it seemed like every channel was showing a plane hitting a tower and then that's when I realized what was going on. I just remember it was like really sketchy and freaky when it happened.
Yea every planes Black Box was incinerated in the flames, but we found all the Hijackers Passports perfectly intact. They really do good work in the governemnt.
i thought he was 40 lmao
The US leadership called it blowback, a chemistry term meaning a negative reaction to actions caused by the chemist. The US was pushing the Islamist fundamentalists over the secular government to maintain control, so they only have themselves to blame over what happened.
I was almost 8 years old then and I remember when they showed it on the news here in Finland

For like 2 years yes. But you can walk into your local Walmart and find at least 2-3 of them on the shelf at any point in time now.
Nah more like this generation just sucks as a whole and these companies don't know wtf they're doing
Why not the 360?
9/11 I was in middle school and I'll never forget my teacher ran out the room crying her brother was in the tower .
And here we go....
I've always been a console player, ever since the Xbox 360 when I was 11, then got an Xbox one. Then when I graduated high school I sold my Xbox one and bought a PS4 Slim in 2020. Last year I bought a PS5. From my experience with all this is that the new generation consoles are very worth the money and gamers will not be disappointed, but the thing is that 90% of new games are for last generation consoles. So when my ps5 is out of storage and can't download any games until I clear space, I usually just plug in my old ps4 and use it's storage to split the space. I don't think the new generation consoles are "replacing" the old generation that much, they just feel like an extension, which isn't bad, but feels underutilized
If you’re looking to Activision to tastefully and tactfully discuss what happened on 9/11. Then brother, you’ve got problems I don’t think anybody can solve. SMH
It's not gonna be about 9/11 but about the events that lead to it in the 90s. The new teaser is telling you you may remember the 90s as a peaceful time, but they weren't.
@@hristol7537 Even worse. Unless Activision somehow has made a radical change recently and are intent on being unbiased when discussing history, there is no way in hell that they portray the events of the Middle East in the 90's in a truthful manner. Facts
People should already be in it console prices are going sub $400
Are people gonna have ps4s when the ps6 comes out? Will they make 3 versions of the same game?
damn there's a 6th one now? I must've zoned out for a little bit lol
Putting it on last gen has a lot of problems.
1. The developers now need to make sure the game is suitable for 4 different consoles now, meaning more work when they could just focus on 2.
2. It makes buying the next gen pointless as they have been out for years now and there is still no reason to even bother buying next gen.
3. It holds the games back and makes it so games can't evolve as they are now stuck still working on an old gen that has out lived it's time.
It shouldn't be on last gen, and a lot of people will hate to hear it but games are a luxury not a necessity, if you don't have the money to upgrade after god know how many years have passed with old gen and the next gens life then you shouldn't be able to play the bigger newer games, it's like complaining every game on PC needs to run on a work laptop or some old outdated gaming PC from the early 2000's, if you can't get a better bigger PC the tough.
That isn't to say that if companies priced their consoles at £1000 and it was dog shit as well that, thats fair, that would just be kill the product off anyway.
But over all playong games is a luxury and not a necessity, there are many nice things in life people can't afford and don't have the money to do, the best you can do is save up and once you got it, save up again, have an account you can put a few pounds/dollars in and over the years it will stack up and by time the next gen rolls around you will most definitely have enough.
In the end though Cyberpunk was heavily fucked because of this stuff, stop stunting games for old gen and let the natrual evolution of games happen, because in the end, holding them back just fucks them over.
Depends if the games are good or not and runs well. It doesn't matter how much power the game uses if the gameplay and performance are trash.
The game will still run and look a lot better on the new systems though.
@@alexk9295 that's not the point. It will affect gameplay and game design to not account the benefits of SSD.
@@Deliveredmean42 wasn't ratchet and clank supposedly only possible due to the speed of the ssd and then when it was ported to pc it turned out to be playable on old hdd as well?
What do you think they do with pc? There's graphic settings (ultra, high, medium, low)
Old gen is probably a few notches below, locked at lower fps
Next gen consoles weren't THAT big of a jump
PS5 is a PS4 Pro Pro with extra steps.
I will say this as someone who doesn’t play COD - if the gameplay is stellar, I don’t think graphics are that important. As long as they focus on the gameplay aspect, I think it should be fine to port the game to the PS4 and XB1.
It is also consumer friendly to do so. There are so many people still on the last-gen consoles (this channel reported on the stats earlier this week). The economy is tough right now. Allowing the people who haven’t spent $500 to upgrade to still play your game is a good thing…
I have a PS5 and I love it. But it’s still important to lookout for those on the prior gen.
Gaming is a luxury so we should be getting our moneys worth boo hoo to those who are still in last gen
@@mikesmith145 I mean, I get that sentiment. I saved my money over months and want the console to feel worth it.
That said, COD is a multiplayer game that thrives on more users being able to access it. By bringing it to the prior gen, Microsoft is ensuring there will be a huge base of players for matches.
All in all, the decision only seems like a win-win to me. But again, I don’t play COD. So maybe I am missing something.
They shouldn't charge 70$ this gen if the majority of games are still on old gen
Consolse... didnt know that existed
I mean think about the film Tora Tora Tora which was made just 30 years after pearl harbor by a Japanese film company. So two decades vs three decades. As for being tasteful, MW one already rerouted the infamous highway of death as being done by the Soviets not the Americans, so I don’t think they would be tasteful in any way shape or form
Remember when Cyberpunk "came to last gen consoles" lol?
Remember when Black Ops 3 came out for Ps360?
Of course they are, the more platforms the more chances of revenue. Plus they can cut corners and not think about high quality graphics.
Really anoys me so i won't buy them.
i don't understand thinking call of duty doesn't have high quality graphics, wow mainstream normies have hilarious standards
since it's basically a live service game where the online is the focus, it's smart to have it on as many systems as possible. if they're going to put it on the next nintendo console anyways, might as well put it on older systems if they in the same ballpark
the biggest problem is that this current generation of console hardware doesnt feel like a generational leap compared to previous ones. ps1 to ps2 was crazy. ps2 to ps3 also crazy, ps3 to ps4 crazy. ps4 to ps5 just feels like ps4.5. the diminishing returns of graphical fidelity arent pushing people to get the next generation console and reducing loading time to a couple of seconds on a ps5 vs 20 seconds on ps4 isnt a big enough deal to people on a stretched budget. by the time the ps6 rolls around it better have some crazy new level of technology or ull still have people clinging to the ps4.
Im curious to see what GTA 6 does. I don’t think its console hardware limitation anymore. The problem is devs having the money and man power to make these huge games.
"crazy generational" leaps are over its time to find a new hobby for the grafix whores if they think that there are going to keep being these huge graphical leaps. It was not "crazy" going from PS3 to PS4. Its time to start worrying about making games FUN to play above all else and ignore the grafix whores who think everything needs to be a visual spectacle
@inshal6420 dev time creeping up to 3-7 years for each AAA game means studios will maybe only get 1 or 2 games for each console generation. I imagine that will probably mean newer bigger games will only be financially viable if they are not only cross platform but also increasingly cross generational.
The better frame rates were worth it to me.
not to mention that we've doubled development time for what
People up and arms about 9/11 but people forgetting we played on the Titanic in Zombies lol
Ahh yes because 9/11 and the Titanic are two completely comparable events
It’s the same game either way for next gen.
LUKE looks very angry in the thumbnail....
Don't underestimate the economy as a reason for causing this. Inflation is real and crushing everyone. Casual console gamers are happy with Xbox One and PS4 and more concerned about real life expense versus entertainment/luxurious spending. Besides, graphics and functionality leap to newest hardware isn't that big.
Honestly the newest generation, in my opinion, has been a resounding failure. I have zero interesting in either product from Sony or Microsoft. There just isn't enough reason for me to spend the money for that reason, cost of living is going up so why spend the money on a new generation console when at this point half the games are coming out for last gen as well.
@@TrippyTheShroom honestly can't wait for gaming to reach a soft cap in graphics. the increase and increase of graphic fluidity is why we keep getting less and less games

I think it was black ops 3 that released on PS3 and PS4 but did it the opposite way 6 is. Instead of building it for last gen and upscaling for the current gen, they built it for the current gen and trimmed it down for the last gen versions, so the maps on the last gen versions had fewer assets around and the visuals were lower quality. I think that would be a better way to do it because it would incentivise cod fans to upgrade while not leaving them out of the new game.
I was really getting hyped about black ops 6 that I was actually thinking about buying it but now that I see it’s coming on last gen too I’ll just try it on my series X and game pass first
probably just shows that making full-on ps5/xbox series graphics scale games have diminishing returns. 9th generation gaming is just more expensive 8th generation gaming
They’d be right to be frustrated that a game coming out in 2024 would be CURRENT GEN only?? No.. we’re 4years in.. I think it’s time for a true current gen cod game and this would’ve been a perfect opportunity for that and yes it would’ve pushed a good chunk to finally upgrade. That’s been one of the main reasons people upgrade in the past. You wouldn’t be able to play the new games without the new machine especially 4YEARS IN!
I still regularly see the argument of "why should I bother upgrading if everything is still coming out in last gen consoles". For a lot of people, it's not a matter of they can't afford to upgrade, it's a matter of being given no reason to. I got a PS5 and my brother still has a launch edition PS4 and we can still play most games together.
I mean I don’t play cod anymore and probably won’t unless they make major changes but as far as last gen stuff that’s why I got a pc a long time ago I don’t have to worry about buying 1000+ dollar console every few years
I actually watched that abe lincoln vampire movie last year........... it is as good as you think
I was 6 years old and I don't really remember 9/11.
It's crazy because it'd be like bo4 and WW2 being on 360 and ps3
can last gen even HANDLE these ridiculously gargantuan and ever growing file sizes?
*Smacks Lips* Can this gen?
You want these games to be 120-240fps on pc and current gen at 1440p-4k. I don’t see why last gen getting a 900p 30fps-60fps version is shocking
I thought I was late to the party getting my ps5 in early 2022 but turns out I could’ve just waited for the next generation
Yes, you was a fool. Ps5 is whack anyways
Stuff like this is why I built a pc in the first place. Console prices up, game prices up, subscription to play with friends and performance held back. Doesn't make sense for me at least.
Play It Day One On Gamespass 😜

50% of ps players are still on ps4. This generation sucks, lots of people don't see the point in upgrading. The BR's and successful live services are keeping last gen from behind left behind.
Or maybe the whole C19 garbage disturb people's lively hood, hence why people haven't been able to upgrade.
Plus there's always that community that always wait to the end of the gen to upgrade, when the consoles go as cheap as possible.
This gen by no means is the worst or bad, unless you are on Xbox, and even then, is not even close to being bad. This "bad gen" thing is pretty dumb!
Wish they would have supported the 360 as long as they’ve been supporting x1 and ps4.
There’s still a lot of 360’s out there and ps3’s. I think they should make a version for those consoles too. Wouldn’t want to miss that market share
I’m definitely in the camp that companies continuing to develop for last gen is frustrating behavior. I know how it sounds when I say this, but they should just move on and whoever wants to play the games should upgrade. We don’t see games being made for the 360 do we. The ps2? Move on for gods sake.

I think people forget that being next gen only doesn't actually mean anything. Performance and scaling options have existed for decades. For example Mirage needs a 3090 on Ultra graphics, but it also runs on an iPhone. Sure it looks like a potato on the iPhone, but it runs. Just by being on last gen, doesn't really mean anything, provided the devs spent the time optimizing for all platforms.
god f@cking damn it! I got hyped for this until I found this out
By the time the next generation of consoles comes out there will be like 5 games total that were exclusive to this current gen. Feels like this generation was just a waste of money
True, this generation is basically the generation of bigger textures.
The only advancements were with the SSDs and only like 3 games with did something with it.
60% of of the Xbox Community is either on XboxOneX or on P.C and half of the PlayStation Community still hasn't gotten a PS5 and judging by how things are going it's starting to slow down I mean the PlayStation 4 Pro is a gem of a console and if you compare it to the PS5 if you play them in comparisons you're going to see that there's basically a slight upgrade when it comes to the PS5 version that's how beautiful the a PlayStation 4 is and is still one of the best consoles ever made, and there's also another reason why PlayStation 5 has not seen huge growth like it should be it's because those same games that end up on PS5 especially third party games end up being the cause because they're pretty much making games still for the both the PS5 and the PS4 Pro and let's just be honest it's much cheaper to buy games on the PS4 Pro and then on the PS5 and I would say the exact same thing for Xbox because let's just be honest games on the Xbox series X are much more expensive than on the Xbox One X aswell. Also none of those gamers are interested in paying an additional $10 if those same games are also being developed for their versions of the consoles I mean fucking Battlefield 2042 has an Xbox One version and a PS4 version and are $10 cheaper to buy on last gen consoles than to buy on next-gen consoles and with rumors of Base games going to push prices to $100 it's only going to motivate people to stay on previous gen consoles until the release of the ps6 and the next Xbox.
This is just the most mediocre generation of consoles I've ever seen the Xbox series X and PlayStation 5 are to me just extensions or upgraded versions of their predecessors the Xbox One X and the PS4 Pro, I don't know about you but I don't really call it next gen these consoles because they're not really that powerful compared to their predecessors when it comes to visuals and power because let's just be honest the PS4 Pro is a gem of a console and it's still a gem of a console of how good it is because when you compare it with the PS5 version, the PS5 version is slightly better not really what you would call next-gen and I even said the exact same thing when comparing the Xbox One X to the Xbox series X basically the current Xbox is basically an upgraded Xbox One X.
There was a 5?
I can’t even imagine buying a switch 2 and then using all of the memory on that and my memory card just for one CoD game when there are actual good games under Nintendos belt 😂
4:15 wow $500 for a console? That must be nice…
MS has to make as much as they possibly can on this cod release. A lot is riding on this particular one.
I think your putting too much faith in to Call of Duty expanding beyond what it has. Its Call of Duty not Battlefield. Call of Duty has never been a boundary pusher or something that benefits from increased power, it just hasn't. Sure some visuals or small details have increased but if you look at most Call of Duties its a gradual increase of visuals. Now Battlefield sure I could see the issue. Basttlefield has more going on and traditionally at least with the big BF games pushes visuals and effects that old hardware would hold back or limit.
Microsoft gotta make some of that money back.
WTF does Microsoft have to do with anything? They knowingly released the lesser spec Series S as their next gen console to the Xbone. But then again had they not they would have almost zero sales since NOBODY who matters is buying the Series X and 70% of the Series sales are the Xbox Series S
Didn’t see anyone mention this, so I’ll bring it up now. You misspelled ‘consoles’, so you should probably change the title before the views go up.
Think that's the ones that keeping this current gen behind not xbox series s console
Why are people surprised though, if theirs twice the amount of ps4 owners than ps5, ofcourse games are still gonna be on ps4, all about the benjamins
Not twice the amount. PS said 50% of active players are still on ps4.
well with Abraham he died generations ago 💀
Cam we bring back stories
PS4 and XONE are just older versions of current gen machines. Similar to an older PC compared to a newer more current one. If the game is not heavy on the cpu it can run decent enough on PS4 with low graphics settings.
I wonder what the decision making/rationale was (if any) maybe on Xbox side it means more people potentially to get onto Gamepass. But I would have thought loads of Xbox one owners would already be on Gamepass
I ain't worried about it? Long enough people gets to play at that's all that matters
Imagine how hard they have to hold back the current gen versions in order to maintain the parity between the series s and also the previous gen consoles.
Series S runs allot of games well tho it’s last gen consoles that’s more of a problem.
To be honest, some CODS can be good, thats how its survived, it can afford a flop or two, maybe three, to then bring out a MW2016 or Cold War with its zombies where it does well and makes back the cash through MTX and premium sales.
Im not a COD fan but theres a reason they survived this long.
Black Ops 3 was also on PS3, but the game was designed for PS4 and you can tell clearly, so no reason to be worried really
"When you're developing for the lowest common denominator" ...that what COD is to the industry
Black ops 3 on Xbox 360 and ps3 were made by different company than tryarch. It looked significantly different like a bad game but it was separate. It could be possible it’s the same thing.
If the rumors are true and the next CoD will feature 9/11, that would be wild. I was just a baby when it happened. My sister was a little older, but she somehow missed that it happened. But I think it would be crazy (not in a good way) if they did it.
But I will be honest, disagree if you think I'm too crazy, I think they should go full conspiracy theory with it. Play as American soldiers that plant the bombs on the towers. Or play as a team that stops the terrorist attacks, but the towers fall anyway. Maybe I'm crazy, but doing this would add another layer of disconnect making the event more digestible. Or maybe it would do the opposite, again, disagree if I've gone too far.
It really feels like a slap in the face buying a series x just to see everything else being prioritized over it.
As much as I don’t want to spend the money on a pc, at least i’d be able to utilize it’s full capabilities.
Literally about 200 million dollars on the table with COD and PS4. It really would be around 20% of Dev costs. Anything beyond 2.5 % is statistically significant. (11.2 million/2) x $40 =224 Million
Yes, let's make different versions for each platform and spend twice the money ad resources! Excellent plan.

I disagree. I haven’t played a 30FPS game since I got my PS5 in 2020. @@TheKing8608_ are you talking about the remake of the game we have already played? Yea no thanks
not that I care much for modern COD... but they are an industry pillar and many companies follow their lead, this is bad for the progress of the industry
I remember when a game would release on both current gen and last gen but the last gen version was always downgraded and worse and that should still be the expectation and case
The “just get a pc” mentality makes more and more sense everyday. I haven’t needed a hardware upgrade in years, even lasted thru the ps4 era.
And I can still play modern games pretty damn smoothly over 60 fps
You mean the people who keep saying it makes less and less sense
Cyberpunk 2077 coming to last gen was one of its biggest mistakes, there’s a reason why the huge update that fixed so much never made it to the last gen versions of the game.
Time to bust out my 11 year old VCR Xbone...yeehaaaw
i miss my ps4 now
I was 20 years old. I think it’s kinda fucked to be in a call of duty game only because call of duty doesn’t respect anything anymore. If it was the company that started making call of duty games around that time…then yes but no.
I just wanna know how warzone may change.
They better let me keep my weapons and skins.
Then its just a copy and paste of last years game
Personally, I don't care so much about how the game looks as I do about how the game plays and how entertaining it is. I'm one of those games that generally waits to upgrade until my consoles either no longer work or don't work as well. So for a while I would just wait and wait until I felt is was time to upgrade and by the time I did, advertisements for the next Gen consoles were starting. As we're the new games that would be exclusive to that new console. So I may be in the minority here but as long as these companies are still making consoles for one previous generation, devs should make their games be able to run on those consoles. Just my opinion
Making BO6 next gen exclusive would do absolutely nothing. COD hasnt done anything new in like 15 years, go look at MW3 2011 and MW3 2023 the only difference is movement speed.
Pretty much guarantees they're using the same old engine
The reason they are releasing it on last generation consoles is because call of duty numbers are so low they are desperate for as many players as possible.
PS5 is 750 USD in my country
Even in comedy its still debated if 911 jokes are ok.
If they made it only for current gen, Microsoft would be inadvertently selling more Ps5s lol
So just buy the $60 one instead of the $70 one?
