I'm SO GLAD I watched you play...it would never occur to me to attack the pig men! And now I know the score when you attack that giant spider "egg" thing. A couple of quick webs to use in traps. Plus, you don't get any more giant spiders from it! Thanks!
Please, please, please, make this a regular series! I love your commentary and there's nothing more entertaining than seeing someone enjoying themselves while stumbling around in the dark (in this case, literally).
Samuel Thompson Or experienced any of the boss monsters. When a deerclops destroys your whole base you have been building for the last couple of hours, it's not fun anymore.
My subscription box is filled with DS videos I haven't watched. The moment I saw THIS, though, I clicked on it immediately. Why? Because it's not just a video, it's a Faaaaan Friiiiidaaaay video, and Fan Friday videos are always three times better than other videos. Plus it's interesting to see you play new games, and I do legitimately really love Don't Starve. Oh, and happy birthday. I give you my best wishes in the name of the Great Space Butterfly.
Jesse, I would love to see you play more of this. There is so much to learn about the game. Of course you've only scratched the surface having just started and only made one video. There is a story. There is a reason you are where you are and who that tall man is at the beginning. Also the game takes to heart the phrase winter is coming.
Jesse, thank you for playing this as a fan friday! Its always fun to see you try something new, but note that you are not designed for slowpaste or strategy games, instead you are better at RPGs and action stuff IMO. At least more interesting to watch. But thanks again, we could see you tried. :)
"I like this personality but I have seen this content provided by a different caster so I am irritated at this." Is not pointless and makes sense and confirms with basic human logic. Thank you come again.
If you plan on playing more Don't Starve in your spare time Jessie remember Pig Men and Beefolo are friendly unless the Beefolo have red butts. It's a fun game and I'm sure you'll have even more fun with it once you learn the basics. Love your vids keep it up.
After playing this so much, it's so frustrating watching you play. And yet, it's also enjoyable. It'd be nice watching you learn as you played the game :)
i watched 3 secend and wanna ask you jesse PRETTY PLEAZE more than 1 fanfriday episode of this and you will make the biggest smile on my face in a long time :D
Jesse, please play more. And I love watching Sips play, but it's also very entertaining to watch you figure things out (you're the first person out of about five people I watch who actually encountered that thing in the dark, I've been wondering about that.)
would be fun to watch you play this every once in a while jesse^^. There's a little bit of story here, but not as much as you're usually into. but if you like it, then I'm sure most everyone would want to see you play
It was fun watching you play this, definitely not a good thing for a series though, I play it myself on top of having already watched 3 seperate Let's plays. Its not something I'd come back and watch all the time.
A thing that a lot of people seem to not know is that if you hit space your guy will auto do task (cutting wood, looting items ect) this is really useful when theres a tree or anything else in the way of your loot.
This was actually very enjoyable. Jesse picked up on things fairly fast, such as the importance of flint, sticks and grass. Additionally, he actually explores and engages enemies in combat when he doesn't know what they do, which a lot of people refuse to do. The fact that he doesn't add fuel, while a little frustrating, is understandable and in fact rather amusing. Chill out and stop making ass-diamonds.
Would you consider doing a Remember Me episode of Fan Friday, or perhaps even a series (if you like it), Jesse? I think it would be interesting to get your take on it.
Tip for the future Jesse, when a game doesn't tell you the controls google to make sure you aren't missing any. In this play through knowing you can press space to interact with nearby objects (Pick up close ones, cut trees, etc) and that you can rotate the world using q and e, would have come in handy. Though it is mostly the games fault for not showing these.
You know what? At least it's not yet ANOTHER bloody shooter. Last year was a year where it REALLY sucked to be a non shooter fan so I'll be very happy if he does a series on this to be honest. ^^
I buttclench every time he plays a game, ever since he did his first Minecraft video. I even buttclench when I've never played the game he is playing before. This is why Jesse is entertaining.
I could see this as a mini-series Jesse. This seems like a terraria game in the sense that the comedy coming from you (and TB in that one) will carry it.
i love how people to reviews they get really rare stuff like sleep darts and are really lucky in general for instance it once took me 20 minutes to find flint
It's a great game - lots of fun if you like survival games and/or rogue-likes. It's also a Wiki-game, meaning it's really helpful to check out the wiki and the forums about it, because Klei deliberately left EVERYTHING up to the player to figure out on their own. When it was still in Alpha & Beta it was easier to just play w/o looking at guides, but there's so much to do now that it makes sense to at least learn some of the basics so you don't repeat Jesse's mistakes. :)
more, after watching AkaMikeB's lets play of this game I Jesse's video seems to the only video I can watch without butt clenching the entire video or being bored to death...also I desperately want you to meet Chester
i would like to see a bit more of this from time to time, this game is shown alot but its pretty great to see people learn it, learn being a loose term for jesse XD
Hold space to continuously chop trees or gather the closest things to ya Jesse. So when stuff is in the way, you can still grab the things. Also, you can put more logs (or a multitude of other things) on the fire to make it bigger and last longer. Aaaaand.. oh so much other stuff.
You did pretty good your first time Jess I'd love to see you do more people forget in crafting exploration games that no one really knnows what to do at first
hope u play more of this. u can click and drag all items from inventory into the world, so plant pinecones, roast meat and berries/seeds. place a berry on the ground to lure a turkey to kill it. hit tab to pull up very detailed map of what youve explored. most important thing is to keep searching at start for rocks w/ gold in them for science.
Correcting Jesse's grammar: - will it kill him? - will it cause him to stop posting videos? - will it annoy him to the point of doing something drastic? - will it make him depressed? - was it actually useful? - will he actually read it? - does it even matter? - did I even had an ulterior motive? - do I need to be an English teacher to do it? Considering the answer to most, if not all, of these questions is no, I fail to see how I'm a dick.
play more! also feed fires by dropping logs onto fire, cook by dragging food over fires, you get gold by mining rocks with gold lines through them gotta look for em
I don't blame him for skipping it to be honest. As much as what you're saying can be true, it can also be really frustrating to watch this particular game being played by an inexperienced player when you've seen it been played much longer by a different personality who knows what to do. It's good not to over-react though, at the end of the day it's just one video that's being skipped, it's not like anyone has threatened to boycott all of Jesse's videos. It's still agreed upon that Jesse rocks.
If you decide to play more of this, you should know: Use spacebar to gather stuff. If you do, you will automaticall pick up the next available item near you.
As a person that has played Don't Starve Since beta, I think a small LP of Adventure Mode with a few videos on getting started is a great idea for Jesse to accomplish. But then again, dying in this game is well. very punishing. Due note that if you die in adventure mode, you restart back to where you were in sandbox mode. Bottom line: I think Jesse can make a short LP series of Don't Starve very entertaining, but it may not be worth it for the time he will no doubt put into it.
If you ever revisit this game (on or off camera) then here's a tip for you: you can almost any enemy. Back off a bit as they attack you, then run back in and take a swing or two, then back off again and they'll miss. Repeat.
I love this game, and I was so excited when Jesse first played this, but I wish he played more of this game. Like a mini series at least.
same
Don;t Starve together, Jesse + fans.
According to Jesse: "For every pigman we kill, we'll plant a tree" - McDonald's
sounds about right, except for the tree part.
Why would McDonald's need pigs, they don't serve real meat.
Every time he built a second fire instead of refueling them hurt my butt
I'm SO GLAD I watched you play...it would never occur to me to attack the pig men! And now I know the score when you attack that giant spider "egg" thing. A couple of quick webs to use in traps. Plus, you don't get any more giant spiders from it! Thanks!
Please play the multiplayer with crendor!!!
Please, please, please, make this a regular series! I love your commentary and there's nothing more entertaining than seeing someone enjoying themselves while stumbling around in the dark (in this case, literally).
"A game that's so silly and fun"
Clearly your insanity hasn't dipped below 50
Samuel Thompson Or experienced any of the boss monsters. When a deerclops destroys your whole base you have been building for the last couple of hours, it's not fun anymore.
Jan Sten Adámek this game has made me feel more like a victim than any other game I've ever played.
And a murderer at the same time :c
My subscription box is filled with DS videos I haven't watched.

Oh, and happy birthday. I give you my best wishes in the name of the Great Space Butterfly.
Hey Cox! I bought Don't starve and I fucking love it!!!
Oh god please, more of this. I love this game, and listening to you playing it is awesome.
Jesse, I would love to see you play more of this. There is so much to learn about the game. Of course you've only scratched the surface having just started and only made one video. There is a story. There is a reason you are where you are and who that tall man is at the beginning.

How could you hate this. Combined with the intro its amazing! Keep up the good work Jesse
Jesse, I swear, you're the best gamer ever.
Making me enjoy this boring game :)
Jesse! Do more of this. Seriously, it's very fun watching you learn how to play. I don't care how many Hatters are hatting with their hats. Do it!
hahaha thanks for another great play man and all of the laughs. HAPPY BDAY!
Thx for the video Jesse and Happy Birthday!
What do you do when your fire goes out?
Normal person: Put more wood on it.
Jesse: Build a new fire!
XD
"I like this personality but I have seen this content provided by a different caster so I am irritated at this." Is not pointless and makes sense and confirms with basic human logic. Thank you come again.
I would love to watch you play more of this game, watching you find how much more you could learn about it would be a lot of fun. :)
I smell a series coming on!!! the fanart for this is gonna be amazing lol
I just LOVE the intro of fan fridays, he's just so funny :D
Happy Birthday Jesse! Love the description :)
Good job Jesse, way better then my first few attempts. Yeah, a run a week would be a cool series. Nice and slow paced :)
Great stuff, Jesse! You always put up great videos, and I hope you consider making this a series. :)
fun to watch, like watching myself from a week ago :P Stumbling around not realizing how much I am NOT prepared. Especially for winter.
If you plan on playing more Don't Starve in your spare time Jessie remember Pig Men and Beefolo are friendly unless the Beefolo have red butts. It's a fun game and I'm sure you'll have even more fun with it once you learn the basics. Love your vids keep it up.
Ooooooooooooooh gosh jesseeeeeeeeee you cold make a full series of this!
It would be incredible!
Make this a series, Jesse. I would love to watch you struggle through surviving multiple nights and building your way to greatness.
This would be 1000x better than the regular let´s plays you are doing at the moment. They are good but this is atleast something different !
I'm gonna second what others have said Jesse. I would LOVE to see you do a series on this. Farcry 3 is almost done so it's a perfect time!
Jesse, please play more. And I love watching Sips play, but it's also very entertaining to watch you figure things out (you're the first person out of about five people I watch who actually encountered that thing in the dark, I've been wondering about that.)
Oh hell yeah play some more :D I love this game and I love me some Cox, put them together and we have happy time
would be fun to watch you play this every once in a while jesse^^. There's a little bit of story here, but not as much as you're usually into. but if you like it, then I'm sure most everyone would want to see you play
It was a fun video to watch as always Jesse! I just started watching your old WoW streams on Shaboozey, btw.
Jesse, I waited the entire video for your Gold Miner voice. Thank you - thank you so much.
You're awesome. You're officially one of my favorite UA-camr commenters :3
-Every game Jesse plays ever. And that's why we love him.
I would absolutely love to see some more of this
It was fun watching you play this, definitely not a good thing for a series though, I play it myself on top of having already watched 3 seperate Let's plays. Its not something I'd come back and watch all the time.

maybe not a series, but definitely a don't starve part 2!
much butt clenching was had and I'd very much like to see you get better!
Please do more! It is really good once you get going!
Watching someone come at this game with almost no knowledge is interesting. Thanks for filming this
Happy birthday man!
More Please and Happy Birthday!
Oh! I must've missed that one. That would be the update rumoured to come out end of May?
Happy birthday maaaaaaaaan! :D
J-Man... that was a horrifying playthrough... And it was awesome... do more!
I would like to see more of this. It would give you more variety them just shooters and I see the possibility of crazy antics.
Happy birthday Jesse, you can feed the fire stuff.
Would you consider doing a Remember Me episode of Fan Friday, or perhaps even a series (if you like it), Jesse? I think it would be interesting to get your take on it.

Jesse always delivers!
Btw.. You can rotate the camera by Q and E. As well as walking by WASD. Spacebar is an action.
You should make this a full series! Play it every week
Jesse next fan friday can you play REUS? I've been thinking about getting it.
I'd love to see you play more of this
Well at least this is just a one-off instead of a series. I enjoy these little quick looks at games, I enjoy Don't Starve, and I enjoy Jesse.
I think there is a campaign, but i dont know how you access it
Jessie you MUST! make more videos with this game!
Happy Birthday Jesse.
And I think for games like these you should really enable capturing of the mouse cursor, or else it's a bit confusing to watch.
Happy Birthday Jesse!
Could you make some more of videos of this Jesse.
Happy Birthday,brotha.
Two fires is more than one! Love you Jesse Cox
You know what? At least it's not yet ANOTHER bloody shooter.
Last year was a year where it REALLY sucked to be a non shooter fan so I'll be very happy if he does a series on this to be honest. ^^
his capacity to run towards the living animals and not noticing that he would never catch them it's remarkable
you can hit spacebar to interact with nearby objects, hold it in. this can be useful sometimes when you don't want to click.
I buttclench every time he plays a game, ever since he did his first Minecraft video. I even buttclench when I've never played the game he is playing before. This is why Jesse is entertaining.

wow, I was just playing this game when I thought,"Hey, I bet this would be interesting to watch if Jesse played it" then I see this. Made my day xD
I needed a good laugh today, thanks Jesse :)
I am a very calm person in life because at home i relieve all my stress and anger when watching jesse play games! :p
Happy birthday Jesse! hope you have a great one ^-^ Tauruses rule! :D
more, after watching AkaMikeB's lets play of this game I Jesse's video seems to the only video I can watch without butt clenching the entire video or being bored to death...also I desperately want you to meet Chester

Yes, play some more of it please.
Yes please, make more!
