Thank u so much stephanie I myself am a girl here I am hopeless and scared rn I feel so scared to leave my own house. I feel so lost. I feel like all my dreams and aspirations has lost. I was a part of the protest but what is needed to be done is not taking place. All my friends are very scared to leave their houses. What if we are next?
I'de be like, "Bring it on, bitch! I'll be ready for ya and do to you what the system didn't. Try me if you fucking dare!" And give her my "crazy-eye Russian look", as my Canadian boyfriend once described it. Idk, but apparently it's impressive.
I get that the parents want to protect their child but how can you justify it when your own child just killed another small innocent child into pieces?
As a parent who loves my child with all of my being and would trade my life for his without hesitation, I fully agree. I don't think I could ever stop loving my baby even if he did the unthinkable but if you're a parent you should know that the victim was someone's precious child, too! My child is the most important person on earth, TO ME, but that doesn't mean the other billions of people here are less important. I know the victim's family deserves justice and I could never stand in the way of that, not when there's no doubt my kid did it. But I do know denial can be powerful and some people just can't cope with reality, who knows what the parents are telling themselves...
If it’s MY CHILD nothing can get in the way of my love for them. I don’t have to agree or like 1/2 the crap they do but I would always love my child. Period! You don’t abandon your children. ESPECIALLY if you already were abandoned
Stephnie I respect you a lot . I am an Indian I am from the state of west bengal. Few days before a pre medical student was brutally gang (allegedly, because the police arrested 1 of the bastards but after post mortom they found 150g of semen which can never be produced by a single man ) r*ped and m*rdered on campus of her medical college when she was on her duty. And many more gruesome things happened. The state government is trying to cover up something or someone allegedly. They tried to cover up the case as suicide. Today is the 78th Independence Day of India . And we students dont know whose Independence we are going to celebrate . Seems like its for the r*pists and m*rderers . There were thousands of women and students and many others on a protest for days . Today at midnight there were rallies at several places in West Bengal. I request you to create awareness over this . All we want is justice from our government (which is what the government is for). Its an ONGOING CASE. Guys if you are watching this comment I request you to spread about it as much as possible . Legally, there HAS to be a cut off. There has to be a number that the government can say “child” no if’s and’s or but’s. Otherwise, child sa wouldn’t be child sa and child abuse wouldn’t be child abuse. There are times that children are charged as adults though. Typically, they are much closer to the legal age.

I remember the news that Kim said “I’m so sad that I can’t see the cherry blossoms and have to go to jail” while being investigated for her murder. I wish she will never be able to enjoy spring and those cherry blossoms ever again.
A 31-year-old 2nd-year medical student was raped and murdered in her office/college premises. She was tortured so much her pelvic bone was broken, and she was bleeding from her eyes, nose, mouth and her privet parts when she was found. A hairclip was found near her private part. The college authority, the government, and the police are trying to cover this up or get it done by posing a scapegoat. This has happened in Kolkata, India. This is ongoing news, but as the media isn't exposing anything, neither is law enforcement, every help that can help reach the demand for justice further is a big help. Please cover this news so more people can know.
I mean, We always know that crazy stuff Happens, whether we hear about it or not is another thing. Its funny cuz everytime i hear these Stories i get Screwed up in the head. Maybe Ignorance Is A Bliss yea?
sarang's mother's statement about cutting up a dress for sarang broke my heart. adult crime, adult time. they deserve far more than 20 and 17 years. what the hell.
To everyone mentioning Stephanie to cover the Kolkata Rape -murder case, give it sometime, not only cause it's an ongoing case but this crime just happened. There will be multiple updates hopefully since CBI is working on it. So a full structured story is something Stephanie will/can present to us
more pressure from mainstream media = faster investigation and no negligence. As people are mentioning that your government is trying to cover it up hence y'all need people to be aware of this so the police and government can be pressurised into solving it faster and punishing the predators very strictly
yes exactly. it's ongoing so no major leads or people have been found guilty. making a video about it right now won't be effective bc the entire thing is still being investigated.
yeah. with the case being so recent and the area it happened in still trying to cover it up on various systemic levels, who knows what information stephanie accesses will even be fully accurate and not just reported rumors and hearsay. especially since stephanie would be internationally covering it, there'll be a language/cultural barrier that will take time to unpack, and she'll have a harder time accessing more local/smaller news stations or unofficial reports from family members/friends/or just other locals who knew the victim and/or perpetrators at this time. i think for stephanie to give coverage that's sensitive to the victim's case and lifestory rather than just giving a summarized coverage of what's generally believed to have happened, we have to give her some time. also stephanie typically gives a detailed run-down of the location's political environment, cultural climate, and relevant historical background so that viewers have a better understanding of the case, regardless if the case is international or not, but since it isn't a place or even country she's from she might take longer for the sake of researching that, as well.
She’s covered cases that haven’t been fully solved before. The point of those comments is not to have a new video for entertainment purposes but rather to bring international awareness and therefore pressure on the Indian government to give the victim justice.
The point of this channel or true crime isn’t to provide u with bedtime stories. It’s to spread awareness, to bring more attention to the case so that we can put pressure on the government to punish the perpetrators. It’s not entertainment. It’s real.
No identity should “be protected” if they’re a criminal they shouldn’t even have the right to ask for that. The victim’s entire identity and life was ended because of these monsters, and mother and father will have to live every day without their precious child. This whole case is so heartbreaking and tragic, and there needs to be better justice systems that truly serve justice.
It comes from the human right to 'Privacy' but it's been taken too far and criminals are hiding behind the justice system which is supposed to help victims gain justice. Also I think it's supposed to be in place to make sure before the police release the perpetrators identity that they are 100% sure they've gotten the right person and not someone innocent because that persons life isn't ruined but in this case it's being taken advantage of, also theirs substantial evidence against the perpetrator.
@@meapiggies I don’t really care about criminals who’d be institutionalized for life, but I do want to know the identities of those who’d be getting out in a few years. I need to avoid them at all cost!!
As a role player and gore artist, who used to behave similar at school - I just can't imagine waking up one day, deciding to hurt a random innocent kid. You can create dark things, have dark thoughts, but don't act on them, because it's just... I don't even know how to call it! Insane? Inhuman?
Im with you. Im not a gore artist, but i have friends who draw similar things, i know people with hella dark stories and characters. Doing it for real would be absolutely insane for any of them! It is purely thoughts. Good analogy - true crime itsself. One could describe a female murderer who watched true crime in a similar way - "watching different videous with gruesome deaths, for months, watching netflix documentaries, even participating in discussions on forums like reddit". But we all here know it would be crazy if some Stephanie's fans commited such a crime. In no way connected to true crime as a hobbie. Or rather, not a result of

Another brutal rape. Another day of realisation that women are not safe, anywhere. Another horrific atrocity to remind us that it's been over a decade since the Nirbhaya tragedy, but still nothing much has changed. Let the statistics speak*: 30% of India's doctors and 80% of our nursing staff are women. In an environment of growing violence against medical personnel, it's the women who are more vulnerable. Since 2022, there has been a 4% increase in crimes against women, over 20% of which involve rape and assault. Nearly 90 rapes a day were reported in India in 2022. How are all of us as women supposed to feel? How are we supposed to go to work or go about our daily lives with this playing on our minds. This horrific incident has once again reminded us that women disproportionately bear the weight of ensuring their own safety. Despite the many crimes and all the women who have suffered, there is no real recourse or hope that things will change. We could not save this young woman, but we can try to prevent it from happening again. These repeated inhuman acts towards women prove that there is something wrong at a root level and unless we dig deep and uproot the cause, nothing is going to change! Don't tell women to change their path - change the terrain. Every woman deserves better. We definitely need talk about it more and more. It's a humble request to Stephanie to cover this case and spread awareness about it.

And that in a culture that denounce the member that " shames" the family ( especially if said member is female ).. l wonder about the sanity of the parents
Do these parents have a script? They say the same things like "what did my child do wrong" or "we are having a hard time too" the audacity of these people are insane.
right on! Personally, I have dealt parents and or siblings like this and no word can accurately describe how unbelievable these people turned out to be while simultaneously blaming the actual victim in the same sentence … when they wouldn’t want that done to themselves. It’s deeply, deeply concerning and terrifying 🤬
its the cognitiive dissonance and denial, even parents of normal children tend to think that they know everythying about their kid and that their kid is an angel so add crimes into that and the idealization plus the world-reversing shock prevents them from accepting it, sometimes when people experience cognitive dissonance, they just keep pushing for the reality in their minds to the point of obsession. There's also the immense guilt of having brought such a person in the world, those people need a lot of help to understand and accept their realities but most times they just go on to be horrible to the actual victims.
I guess it's more the parents of the attackers don't want to believe their child that they birthed, raised and love would do such a crime. For not only the parents of the victim but the attackers parents, you just don't want to believe that your child is dead or your child would kill another human in such a horrific way that both parties will think "what happened?" "Did i do something wrong while parenting?" "Did i not teach them safety enough?" "Were their signs i missed?" Cause at the end of the day, yes someone is dead but both families are broken and questioning if this is real life, if this really happened. That their child, their baby, their sunshine is gone and how to move on from that. From their child being dead or their child going away for years. It's just denial on both ends. Both families are grieving for different reasons. Both families are now broken for different reasons. Both families are hurting for different reasons and both families will be blaming themselves for this crime
"What did my daughter do that's so wrong?"!!!!! It's incredibly scary that she had to ask that question! If she seriously doesn't see what her daughter did to that child as wrong then we can see why the daughter turned out the way she did.
@@RenopunkJo, the daughter is also evil, she isn't stupid either and is also to blame, she isn't some innocent girl, she could have been but she isn't

The way that Kim cleaned up the crime scene makes me think that she might have done this before, js. 🤷 Stephanie, as always, great video. Please take care of your mental health.
Same,, I understand its not likely due to her age but I feel like she HAD to practise, even if it was on animal crime scenes. my older sister RIP she had schizophrenia and other mental disorders. She couldn't think of hurting anyone. So I totally agree that people with schizophrenia are not always violent.
This was seriously bone chilling. The sentencing is distasteful and I guess it would never have been enough, but it’s just heartbreaking to realise the two criminals will get to live a life outside of prison and probably even enjoy their time in prison with how unremorseful they sound while the poor parents will always suffer :(
I highly doubt they'll have a good time in prison . But yeah I agree cause they'll eventually be able to live a normal life while the victim will never get to grow up, the parents will never be able to watch their daughter grow cause she was so cruelly snatched from them. God this is so sad .
@@barbaragenshin9848 I meant they seemed to show no remorse throughout the whole thing so they might still see nothing wrong in their actions, even after sitting in prison for a long time, and especially with how the families continued to support/protect them, I don’t doubt that they will try to make their lives easier in there if possible which is completely horrendous and still will never be enough justice for the poor families affected.
Stephanie, i want you to look at this incident that happened in Kyzylorda,Kazakhstan, please A school girl(16y.o) was forced to sex trafficking by HER CLASSMATES for 6 months. And apparently a 1000 men rpd her and were giving money to her classmates. She was drugged, sa-d and tortured for half a year. Everyone in the area knew about it and did nothing, the school principal and teachers knew and threatened to deprive mother of her parental rights. That’s very sad😢
if you want her to cover a case i think there is a form in her website you can fill out ! it will work better than in a comments section where it's kinda drowned (even if it's up in the comments order) ( really hope she will cover this case. there is a lot of crimes against girls and women in Kazakhstan it's really saddening, could be great to get awareness on them)
If I am not mistaken, the very first episode from the drama Juvenile Justice (소년 심판) is inspired by this case, to the point where when the judges in the series are reviewing proof to take their decision in court, the producers and actors recreated the footage from the playground and the elevator, where you see the little girl approaching Kim, them walking to the building and then entering the elevator. It is really creepy, especially because I first saw the drama and now seeing the actual footage from the crime I realize how spot on the drama was. It truly is sickening to even try to imagine what was going on inside Kim´s head, while probably the only thing Sarang was thinking was that the nice female was going to help her call her mom and everything was going to be okay.
@@melodygray2727the drama is actually not pro-punishment at all. It has a more nuanced conversation how while the current system is enabling children and teenagers, a harsher system doesn’t work either, how they need reforms, but they don’t need the punitive system like in the US. At least, that’s what I remember from the drama. I watched it when it came out.

as someone with bipolar disorder and a bunch of other mental health disorders (ocd, adhd etc) and also on the autism spectrum: thank u for clarifying to people that these disorders do not mean someone is more likely to murder or commit violent crimes. i hate listening to these types of stories and all the comments are “oh it’s because they had X mental health disorder”
That is absolutely horrifying... the fact that the perpetrators are protected and barely got any time makes it 100000x times worst. That poor little girl, that poor family... some people don't deserve to exist.
I suspect Park is a high-functioning psychopath, while Kim is a low-functioning narcissist. This has the elements of Leopold and Loeb, except Park eggs on Kim, and is an accessory after the fact. What's disturbing is that Kim almost gets away with it. One day, they are both going to get out of jail with fully developed brains that allow them to plan and reason better. A truly terrifying thought.
They would have caught her eventually, though it would have taken longer had it not been for the shoes of the victim. The CCTV footage, they knew it happened in that building, someone already identified her and they searched her apartment. Even if there was no DNA on the remains on the rooftop (possible but not likely), they would look into all suspects and find her google search history. She wasn't as smart as she thought she was.

I have no idea what happened in Kolkata but the comments asking for that case to be made by Stephanie makes me sad for this case. This is a little girl that was brutally murdered. It’s horrible in both cases I’m sure but it’s sad to see that commenters are flooding the comment section with other cases to be made. I hope the family, specially the mother find some peace. It wasn’t the child not having a cellphone that killed her, it’s was these twisted teens that did it. I pray the mother stops blaming herself for the cellphone, it wasn’t her fault.
I’m listening to this case and appalled of the amount of people that have a complete disregard for an 8 year old who lost her life in such a brutal way just so they can “make a request “. Like the disrespect and disregard is astounding. Everyone who requested that in this comment section is selfish AF.
Exactly , I was so not expecting that . The show has never once glorified any of those crimes , it's a very morally grey show and if people can't separate reality from fiction it isn't the shows fault or problem.
I was so freaked out when it was mentioned lol. Tbh I always expected Hannibal to serve as an inspiration for murderers at some point. However I disagree with how Stephanie portrayed Kim's comments on wanting to eat human flesh after watching Hannibal. That's the point - the show questions viewer's morals by showing absolutely delicious looking food consisted of humans. Viewer is conflicted by knowledge of where does the meat come from and appetizing appearance. So Kim isn't crazy for this as it's been presented

I’m a game master in online RP (Discord mostly), I’ve had some games going on for years or months. I’m not that far into the video, I just appreciate that you did the vibes justice- the detail and time that goes into these things and how immersive they can be. It’s true that communities like this have dark corners obviously, as do any. I’ve been in these more intense kind of RPs before and it’s definitely a crazy environment to be in especially for young people, not one I’d recommend to anyone. And RPs without any out of character check ins regularly is a red flag

@Boringforties totally get that! I have an "audience" role in all my servers so people can read rp channels but not type in them. Some people just like to watch the story unfold and enjoy it like a show almost and I love that

41:28 I like the fact that you brought this up and wanted to add a bit to the psychology behind this. Kids who have experience trauma, abuse and/or have certain “issues” often times don’t explore other colors and often draw with one color- even when they have dozens of different colors to choose from. This is one of the most clear indicators that something is amiss with the child and/or their lives/environment . Just thought it might be something that can help you in future cases you examine or others who might stumble on this and can help recognize issues in kids lives/families/homes 🤷🏻♀️
The part at the end about the mom waiting to surprise her with her own phone… :-(. And the fact that she specifically went up to a woman to ask to use her phone. Her mom really did try her best, I hope she can stop blaming herself for this.

As I was watching this, I knew it sounded familiar, and I realized that the Netflix series 'Juvenile Justice' included this case. I remember how heartbroken I felt watching it, and now that I know it was a real case, I feel even more for the parents of the victim.
my only concern is... how did the parents come home and be chill with 8 year old SHOES BY THE FRONT DOOR?????? They deffffff had to know what was goin on by the time they may have came home and helped out some how!!?!? MY conspiracy.
As someone who use to RP at a young age it can be fun and/or very scary especially when people can’t separate the world they created and the real world. The dangers of it because we know the characters but (usually)not the one behind the character. There’s been hate/bullying and even grooming in these situations but this one is so mortifying and heartbreaking to hear.
I ran into a handful of people who lost their grip on reality over the years when I was an RPer. One case tried to spill into real life and that blew up in her face.
Sameee, role playing community is soo common in my place we have this group chats and roles and we talk about it everyday. It's like a little fantasy it feels like you were really into that scenario. It wasn't grusome as that zombies tho. It's more on powers and status, guild members. It's really good actually xD especially during my hs days oh gosh xD it's all fun if you were in a safeplace rp I treasure those rp world days of mine
True that. I was part of the RP community since I was 13 and it used to be a great place to practice my writing skills and meet amazing fun people, but there are always that handful who end up projecting too much of themselves into the characters that ends up boring trauma of their characters, worsening a lot of their own in real life problems (like anxiety and depression). It becomes painful to watch sometimes to see friends spiraling when the safe space becomes added burdens instead. This case though, definitely is the worse to come out of the rp scene.
It's just a bad idea to keep playing pretend after you become a teenager. You're literally practicing being disconnected from reality. All larping groups have examples of people so insane that they think the rest of the adults playing pretend are sane
Everyone requesting for coverage on the kolkata case, Stephanie is already looking into it stop spamming the comments and stop taking the attention away from this case

I really don’t mean to bring anyone’s mood down but I feel a little conflicted every time I see a comment that says “I was so excited to see today’s episode” or “finally a video I can eat my lunch to.” Like I love Stephanie so much as do I love the hard work she puts into the channel, but also my day almost gets a little gloomy too. These are real life cases and I can’t help but frown whenever I see a new video is up. Like yay!! I love the respect Stephanie shows these cases and victims!! But also damn what world do we live in that these videos can even be made :(
Most people are really good at detaching these stories from reality, it's not necessarily a lack of empathy, but just a different way of seeing things. It might be a coping mechanism for some people, or other people may just straight up not care as much as you (and myself) do. What helps me is remembering how many people there are in the world, and how rare these cases actually are in reality. Since she only talks about these kinds of horrible acts, it makes it seem like they are a lot more common than they actually are. A large majority of people are good people; the reason these monsters are a spectacle is because of how (fortunately) rare it is for someone to do these things.
omg me too, those comments always rub me some kind of way. but i’m guilty too, i use these videos for commute, for my shower, etc. i love learning about these cases but i don’t love the cases. totally understand where you’re coming from
Nah I get you, I love Stephanie but there are some episodes that I just can't watch, mainly the CSA ones, I just can't sit and listen to them with wanting to find the people who did it and make them suffer, without my heart feeling like it's been ripped out of my chest knowing that it happened in real life to real children and the one's that committed such horrendous acts get to live out their lives, lives they don't deserve.
Hey Stephanie. I usually am an avid watcher and seldom commentor. But we need to you to please highlight a situation for international press. There’s a r@pe/murder of a 31 year old resident doctor in RG Kar Medical college, Kolkata, India. The state government and the administration are clearly trying to hide a lot of evidence and there is clearly something big going on. The Principal initially tried to dismiss her death as a Su!cide even though her autopsy clearly pointed towards physical assault/perimortem r@pe and other atrocities I can’t mention. Allegedly 150g of semen was found in her body, clearly showing it might me a gang grape. They shadily started the renovation work the very next day after the incident and the police didn’t try to prevent scene contamination and allegedly tampered with the evidence themselves. Doctors and students across our Government college hospitals have gone on a strike and all elective OPD/OT/IPD are shut down. Only Trauma and Emergency departments are running. With our protest the case was handed to the CBI on 13th. Today, on our 78th Independence Day, we all had a women reclaim the night March. However many many goons came to the RG Kar medical college and have completely destroyed Emergency department and tried to tamper with the Chest Medicine Department seminar hall ( where the incident occurred ). They also tried to enter the girls’ hostels. Please try to highlight this situation.

south korean juvenile protection is OVER THE TOP INSANE. this case gutted me, I feel so sorry for the amount of blame that the mother of the victim is putting on herself :(
"A child.. killed a child" is a scary thing to hear Quick story time you won't see this online cause it happened in a village i heard it from some locals A mom and dad with three kids 17F 12M 9F go on a business meeting for a few days trusting the kids to the 17yr (who had probed to be mature enough) They come back and their neighbors are are in frantically telling them that something has happened ( the event happened like a few minutes before they arrived (crazy)) They rushed home to see all their children laying on the floor non responsive A doctor is at the scene He tried to resuscitate the 9 yr pronounced dead The 12 yr pronounced dead The 17 yr pronoun- NO WAIT we have a pulse The parents rejoiced hearing that at least one of their children survived When she was responsive they asked what happened She wept and said she killed her siblings. She confessed she joined a cult in school and they needed her to sacrifice her siblings as payment to be in the cult and the reason for her fainting remained unknown whether it was a spiritual attack or something else The parents were heartbroken because the person who they loved and trusted the most had murdered their children.

Wait how come park, the adult, got a lighter sentence than kim?!, its clear that she was manipulating her. Also her deleting messages, playing sexual fantasies with kim, the minor, the frequent phone calls during the murder was enough evidence that she knew what they were doing but feigning to be ignorant. Kim is still a monster with evil parents but Park was able to get away by just saying Kim was the one in charge not her.
What the mother said about having to cut her child's dress into different pieces so she could dress her... I had to pause it, because that broke me. That poor mother!
Robbing someone of their very life in the most horrendous way possible... It's tough to comprehend. I pray that the lil girl's parents stay strong for justice and their lives continue. no one ever deserves such pain EVER. I can't help in any way but I hope my prayers will reach the victim's family.
i study art therapy, so i can offer some insight on her drawings. it is true that brushstrokes can indicate something about someones personality. this has to do with how much space they take up both on paper and in 3d space whilst placing the stroke. someone who makes broader strokes/gestures tends to be more assertive, because they have less trouble taking up space. someone who is shy or hesitant might make smaller, more uneven strokes. those same people also tend to pick smaller spaces to draw, whilst more assertive people tend to choose bigger projects. its very interesting and of course theres more that needs to be taken into account when analyzing someones drawing, but this particular part is true and is one of my favourite subjects
i was looking through your show notes and saw this one like a day or two ago, here to say yea i dont think i could ever even try being in you position of work. seriously you’re truly remarkable for being able to spread the word about these cases, thanks so much
How sick is that ! After their daughter done a horrible crime, how can they still defend her? Like hello ! Your child dismembered an eight yr old ! ! DF!
11:37 it’s similar to when your favorite fictional character dies. Your brain actually doesn’t know the difference between emotions directed towards a real person and a fictional character. In your mind, the character is very real. So that’s why people cry when their favorite character dies in a book or film or show.
Ugh the things people come up with to entertain themselves. When psychos get access to the net and find their kind, they bring their crazy to the real world and its always the innocents fell victim. Thanks Stephanie, youre the best storyteller.
I think the part where Sarang initially approaches an older girl, asks for a charger, and gets kidnapped looks similar to a case in a kdrama called "Juvenile Justice." Maybe the writers or makers of the drama were trying to portray this incident with the help of that kdrama. EDIT: as I'm watching the video more I realise most of the story is the same as this case. only the difference is that in that story the boy who was arrested for the murder did not commit the murder but helped another girl to hide the evidence of the murder thus an acquaintance.
I believe hannibal lecter says in the book that the most delicious part of the body is the leg/quads so her obsession shows in the gift aswell, it is really someone who has crossed fantasy and horror for real life thats so scary
I have listened to so many true crime crimes, and watched a lot of statements from parents this mother’s statement is the saddest I’ve ever heard! To heat she had to cut the dress in pieces and she dressed her in that state had me crying. This is one of the very worst.

@@shqipe4801i completely get that, but in this instance let’s use nuance for a sec. you know stephanie is probably one of the most connected people to these cases, whether it’s literally having family members of victims on the episode or consistently making sure she is stating all the facts and not leaving much room for reinterpretation. so, i feel comfortable saying how much i like the storytelling aspect because we are constantly reminded that these are real life experiences. hope that helps?

I have DID myself. That isn't how the disorder works at all. It makes me sick that people will fake it/ use it as an excuse because it puts so much more stigma around it. People who do that makes it so much harder for those of us who actually deal with it to be believed and get help.
I am 16 years old and I can't even imagine doing this as 16 years old or any age to a 8 year old , I even cry if I see a child begger having a small cut that is untreated. This case is so brutal , a child killing another child. No humanity left in this world 🤧, love you Stephanie Dii ❤️
That's scary how she made it all look so clean like it never even happened, which confuses me why she forgot something so simple such as the shoes when she had time shower in bleach herself. I feel so bad for that poor little girls parents, some people in this world scare me that people like them even exist
I guess even the neatest murderers who don’t miss a single speck of blood can overlook something so huge and in plain sight. But yeah it’s absolutely horrible and I can’t imagine how the parents must feel, it’s so unfortunate that they only got so few years in prison
After listening literally to every case that Stephanie has covered I just stopped feeling infuriated when hearing that the criminals almost all the time receive ridiculous punishments for their sins. Now every time I expect to hear “identity protected, minimum sentence and human rights protected by the police”. Has the world always been like this?
Just reading the title and this is terrifying. Like. Almost unreal like something to a movie plot. But what the hell… props to the team and Stephanie for researching this. Take care when you can.
Artist here! The drawings Kim drew were of PJ, it was mostly something for PJ's backstory/story in general that Kim wrote. I can say that sometimes, we add our own parts of ourselves to our OCs. So the idea of Kim making PJ as a cry for help is not off the table- however, it also might have been just something she wrote and ended up being way too obsessed over to the point she lost touch with reality. There's multiple factors as to why someone would draw their own ocs in those ways, either due to it being relevant to the ocs' plot/backstory, a way to cope or just a fun idea they thought of that was fitting well.
Stephanie, I'm from India and doctor as well. Few days ago a female obgyn doctor from RGkar hospital in Kolkata was raped and killed in the most brutal manner that it is so hard to even explain. As soon as the news came out they've tried everything possible to erase the evidence including burning her body and renovating the place where the incident happened. Supposedly politians and people in power are involved. The doctors throughout the country have suspended services in solidarity for bringing justice to her and her family. Please cover this case because I think this needs international awareness or it'll get buried and the perpetrators will be free of any consequences. Being a female doctor in india has become such a hazard. Love you Steph and I hope you see this message.
Stephanie I've been a fan of you for years now and I know that you probably have cases planned ahead of the schedule that you want to cover on this channel but it is a very humble request from me and thousands of other indians for you to cover the case of Dr. M who was a pg student working on a 36 hour shift in a hospital where she was brutally raped and murdered. She had severe injuries on her body, her pelvic bone was broken . She used to wear glasses and the broken glass pieces were embedded in her eyes .The hospital and state government are trying to cover up the matter as someone influential is involved in this. This case needs international attention. We need to get her justice. She had a bright future ahead of her . I know that victims identities are to be protected but I specifically want to take her name and demand justice. The world needs to remember her. A 31 year old hardworking student, a doctor in the making, a woman of high calibre We need to remember her name. I don't want her to be forgotten in the countless faceless woman that get raped in our country everyday and never get justice. We need to remember every woman, every girl that was a victim of brutality by men and the society.
She is just sick sick sick. Any one especially a 16 year old could do what she did to that poor sweet baby girl I'm so blown away and my heart breaks for the parents 💔. I'm sending so much love, strength 💪and prayers 🙏 Those sentences are a joke and they must have a fukd up judicial system. I truly feel like this is not real and it did really happen and I can't wrap my head around it 🤯
don't get me wrong money alone isn't why they can have 12 lawyer's. people in power also threaten judges, policemen etc. but you will never hear about stuff like that.
I honestly cried when I got to the end. How could people be so cruel? And the parents protecting their child? They both should have gotten more time, if you do adult crimes, you get adult time.
i think she does get traumatized to some extend ... no one is totally okay after researching and consuming a lot of content/medias about cases like thoses

But I do know denial can be powerful and some people just can't cope with reality, who knows what the parents are telling themselves...
probably no
If it’s MY CHILD nothing can get in the way of my love for them. I don’t have to agree or like 1/2 the crap they do but I would always love my child. Period! You don’t abandon your children. ESPECIALLY if you already were abandoned

Legally, there HAS to be a cut off. There has to be a number that the government can say “child” no if’s and’s or but’s. more pressure from mainstream media = faster investigation and no negligence.
Damn right . Preach
A big reason I think this is for (a guess not known) is to stop "get famous" killers
period

Another brutal rape. Another day of realisation that women are not safe, anywhere. Another horrific atrocity to remind us that it's been over a decade since the Nirbhaya tragedy, but still nothing much has changed.
Let the statistics speak*:
30% of India's doctors and 80% of our nursing staff are women.

A tiny innocent trusting child was murdered horribly . That is no 16 year old. That's a monster and shame on her parents for defending her actions
Exactly. I blame the parents in this. They have brutally failed her.

Yeah same here. She’s definitely done this before on her animal victims
And she will do it again so her parents has to be very careful when she is out

Most are not inherently violent unless they grow up in an abusive environment. A lot of schizos avoid confrontation.

The fact that the mom had a cell phone for her already just breaks my heart. Poor girl and poor mom and dad. I hope she isn’t too harsh on herself ❤
Yeah that's what I said too. Park is a manipulative psychopath. Kim is more of a sociopath who's impulsive and not high functioning.

That's a very interesting observation. I've been trying to get into psychology and this is a great note.

They come back and their neighbors are are in frantically telling them that something has happened ( the event happened like a few minutes before they arrived (crazy))
They rushed home to see all their children laying on the floor non responsive

He tried to resuscitate the 9 yr pronounced dead
The 12 yr pronounced dead
The 17 yr pronoun- NO WAIT we have a pulse
The parents rejoiced hearing that at least one of their children survived
When she was responsive they asked what happened
She wept and said she killed her siblings. She confessed she joined a cult in school and they needed her to sacrifice her siblings as payment to be in the cult and the reason for her fainting remained unknown whether it was a spiritual attack or something else
The parents were heartbroken because the person who they loved and trusted the most had murdered their children.

Kim is still a monster with evil parents but Park was able to get away by just saying Kim was the one in charge not her.

i study art therapy, so i can offer some insight on her drawings.
it is true that brushstrokes can indicate something about someones personality. this has to do with how much space they take up both on paper and in 3d space whilst placing the stroke.
someone who makes broader strokes/gestures tends to be more assertive, because they have less trouble taking up space. someone who is shy or hesitant might make smaller, more uneven strokes. those same people also tend to pick smaller spaces to draw, whilst more assertive people tend to choose bigger projects.
its very interesting and of course theres more that needs to be taken into account when analyzing someones drawing, but this particular part is true and is one of my favourite subjects

The fact they were romantically involved, and their relationship was not healthy, are the two absolute least surprising things about this story.
The sentencing is ridiculous, they deserve life in prison. Both of them
Poor baby and poor parents. The mom impacted statement got me “ I had to cut up one dress in to different pieces.”

I have listened to so many true crime crimes, and watched a lot of statements from parents this mother’s statement is the saddest I’ve ever heard! To heat she had to cut the dress in pieces and she dressed her in that state had me crying. This is one of the very worst.
you’re my fav true crime yter because of the storytelling energy u give the cases, it’s like we’re all sitting in the study of some grand manor with fog surrounding it😭
Bro this is real people and their real stories tf
@@shqipe4801i completely get that, but in this instance let’s use nuance for a sec. you know stephanie is probably one of the most connected people to these cases, whether it’s literally having family members of victims on the episode or consistently making sure she is stating all the facts and not leaving much room for reinterpretation. so, i feel comfortable saying how much i like the storytelling aspect because we are constantly reminded that these are real life experiences. hope that helps?
The storytelling makes it more impactful because i can visualize a lot of it without trying. Makes u remember it forever because u feel invested.
@@HoPeZz_N_DrEaMzz!!!!!
@@shqipe4801 As if you aren't also watching this video lmao. You aren't any better than people that acknowledge true crime is entertainment, even if you pretend you are
I have DID myself.
@@4isionaeri_ yea it's crazy, insane shit happens in his world
That's what I was wondering too. Also didn't she Google how to hide blood from investigatiors? Why would she use bleach?
After listening literally to every case that Stephanie has covered I just stopped feeling infuriated when hearing that the criminals almost all the time receive ridiculous punishments for their sins. Now every time I expect to hear “identity protected, minimum sentence and human rights protected by the police”. Has the world always been like this?
Just reading the title and this is terrifying. Like. Almost unreal like something to a movie plot. But what the hell… props to the team and Stephanie for researching this. Take care when you can.

The fact she had purchased a phone for her broke me
Stephanie, I'm from India and doctor as well. Love you Steph and I hope you see this message.
please submit the case on the rotten mango websiteplease submit the case on the rotten mango website, would really help and she might cover it
She said she's working on it
Stop she said she is looking into it!
@@harharharharharharharharha240 chill they wrote it before stephanie said she's looking into it
Why is there soo much hates agains women in India???
You have a wonderful gift… thanks to your storytelling and care for these people, all these incidents have reached millions. Thank you.
I saw the title and my jaw dropped on the floor-!! it's disgusting what people end up doing
A 31 year old hardworking student, a doctor in the making, a woman of high calibre
We need to remember her name. I don't want her to be forgotten in the countless faceless woman that get raped in our country everyday and never get justice. We need to remember every woman, every girl that was a victim of brutality by men and the society.
When two psychopathic people become friends... it really is a feedback loop leading to evil acts more quickly than they'd reach otherwise.
She is just sick sick sick. Any one especially a 16 year old could do what she did to that poor sweet baby girl
I'm so blown away and my heart breaks for the parents 💔. I'm sending so much love, strength 💪and prayers 🙏
Those sentences are a joke and they must have a fukd up judicial system.
The similarities between this case and the first episode of the k drama 'juvenile justice' is just absolutely *haunting*
Exactly!!!
That what I was thinking about the whole time watching this video
Finally someone said this!!!!!!!!!!!
Why does this feel like the case portrayed in the Juve Justice K-drama? The sentencing is disgusting in both the drama and in real.

I love how she has to read and research this and she’s not traumatized and I respect that
Its important to acknowledge stephanie's r&t team as well , im sure they do a lot of research to filter and compile for her
Anybody can be traumatized.
Do you watch her vlogs?
i think she does get traumatized to some extend ... no one is totally okay after researching and consuming a lot of content/medias about cases like thoses
It's not like she's living it. She doesn't have any reason to be bothered because she's milking it for the $$$
I've been watching storyteller videos on UA-cam for years and I've seen some pretty good storytellers but I have to say that you truly are the best!! And I'm not just saying that the way you tell the stories and the way you can remember and pull out the information in your head so consistently is the amazing! And I don't know how long you've been doing this but I just recently ran across your videos a few weeks ago which blows my mind because I've been watching UA-cam since the beginning!
You know the word is missed up,and crimes are getting so wild, and I just feel so frustrated 😤 with this world, and you know what ? this will not change at all.😭😔💔

Hi Stephanie,
They should never be let out of jail. The laws need to change.
On a side note, how does the apartment building know which tenant did not sort their trash…that’s some good CSI.
The horror of the true stories you tell are made a bit easier to stomach with all the good work you do for the foundations you support. It's easy to get depressed with how this world is, so the reminders there is good too is wonderful. Thank you for what you do and for such amazing videos
With your storytelling talent, I can 100% see you as a novelist
Thank you for posting these videos and bringing light to the victims, I love listening to your videos at work to pass time
The description of the roleplay chatrooms brought flashbacks of the wild world of AOL and MSN chatrooms. But no GMs/DMs, just a bunch of chaotic collaborative storytelling. Was a great place to practice writing, actually. But there are always a few eggs that are rotten through and through. That poor little girl. She just wanted to call her mom.
Tinnitus is really annoying. I got mine while shooting on deployment.
Now that I'm back, don't have any sort of drive to hurt anybody. What kind of a defense is that bs?!
