Glad it was helpful!
As a beginner item I would also recommend stencils
I love u , because u just gave me a new idea to start as a small business owner , thank u
Thank you for sharing this information... generously opening the door for so many aspiring artists. I respect you even more, for helping others succeed !
Not a 'proper' artist but ive found that if your plan is to paint the entire 'back patch' section (idk what to call it but the back part of the jacket that is usually outlined with stitching) you can just Golden Gac 900 with white paint to paint a white canvas in that back patch and then use Posca markers to draw your design and then add a Gac 900 coat once the jacket is dry to seal it in.
I used to paint my jackets but i struggled so much getting clean lines, tried a bunch of different price range brushes, bunch of different paints, tried different viscosities. Just couldn't get clean lines. Posca markers are god tier and they actually have so many colours, obviously you cant do nearly as much with them, but I stick to cell shaded with no blending and theyre amazing, so vibrant, doesnt need nearly as many coats. Fucking love em.
Thank you so much for your advice and inspirations ❤️
Love your work
I’m glad I could help :)
Thanks for this video. Really simplified the process.
Thank you for sharing great tutorial!!!
Very helpful! I've been wanting to try fabric painting but I only have acrylic paint. I was eyeing some fabric medium but both yourself and a couple of other fabric painters have suggested not to do this. I'll now to your wisdom and get some proper fabric paint in time. Thank you for the video!
You can absolutely use acrylic with fabric medium, every fabric medium has a different ratio of medium to acrylic, but I always add more medium than acrylic in my experience based on thicker or higher quality acrylics
Thanks very much much and keep up with your talent great job 💯
THank you very much!
Such an amazing creator!

No worries!! I’m glad I could help 😜
A tactic for preserving acrylic paint, especially working color pallets, is to freeze them when you're done for the day. Wet acrylic will freeze and thaw safely. Does anyone know if this is true for fabric paints? If they're water-based, I suspect this will work. Freezing marker paint when between uses would increase the time before it dries in the marker. But you must plan ahead and thaw them before use.
Hello love your video🤗i need advice i just started painting my 1st denim jacket for a gig im going to, im no artist but excited to try, anyway my samples turned out good and washed well but when you feel the jacket you can feel the paint, is there anything you can use on top of the paint to give it that smooth feeling, please help🙏thank you x
Hi. I’m so excited to find this. I want to paint a Christmas tree on the back of a denim jacket. Any suggestions as to a stencil
Hey! I haven’t tried stencils before, but I’m sure you will be able to make your own by tracing a picture of your shape on cardboard and cutting it out :)
Question:
Once you have finished painting, do you need to apply a varnish, a finish coating?
Or do you just let the denim dry?
How long does it take to dry
Thank you
🙏🥰
You can add varnish, I use a fabric sealant spray and also Angelus sealant. Doesn’t crack or crumble
Heat setting the denim from the inside once fully dry (longer than 24 hours) paints vary for drying depending on the brands however it’s a lot faster than you think for drying especially dry to touch. But always allow 24 hours for it to fully cure and dry to the denim
Do you use any type of sealer to protect the painting after done... like a clear sealer or something like that? Please advise. Thank you
Hi! Can I use fabric markers on dried fabric paint? If so when should I iron the denim before using the marker or after? Thank you❤
Thank you so much for your informative videos!
I have a question, have you tried podcasts markers just to outline ? Do they go well with the fabric colors? Thank you!
Personally I always prefer to outline with a paint brush, but markers would be great if you wanted an easier way to outline details :)
What do you seal the paint with on jean?
Is there fabric markers or pencils that stay after washing, because I want to use them for very thin lines?
How exactly do you heat fuse?
Is monte marte signature any good?
Thnx so much for this info. Very useful. I've just got a dout: in order for the fabric paint not to fade away sooner than expected, te idea then is to apply layers and layers of it on my denim, isn't that so? I mean, there are no specific products for, let's say, protecting the design I create, aren't they? Thnx again.
Or is it just with heat fusing what's needed to protect it so it doesn't fade that fast? Thnx
Do you think Reeves Acrylic Paints work for denim and jeans painting?
We've got only acrylic paint here in Nigeria. I've checked in different stores and still couldn't find the fabric paint.
Please any other suggestion?
Love your work
U can use acrylic paint and mix it fabric painting medium !
If I’m a terrible drawer and want to use an actual stencil on my denim but paint with paint, what’s the best way to apply a pre cut stencil on my denim and get the image to use actual paint with? Should I paint the stencil on with white paint then remove and finish with colors?
I’m interested here also. I’ve just started using my cricut machine to create stencils for airbrushing. Just getting started and keen to see how this plays out.
