I'd love to get a genuine S.T. Dupont lighter but at the prices they command there's just no way it can be justified.
I wish they would create a basic Stonewash or Bead Blast product to sell for a few hundred dollars less than their standard models. I'd love to pay for the fantastic mechanical quality, but I can't afford what they charge for the polish.

Those lighters are made from copper than plated with precious metals like Platinum, Gold, Palladium, Silver.. its mean each lighter have leas than half gram Gold but the price range 700 up to 2000 Euro for half grams Gold in the name of 18Karat is absolutely ridiculous, no do not thinking I trying discredit the Dupont items, I have 4 line 2 lighters, 7 pens .. they are nice and works fine but im really not agree with the Determine the pricing by Dupont company
